  • Hi, which cd this song?? thx for your sharing!!

  • MASTERPIECE

  • ich wusste es !

das lied wird von einer frau gesungen !

  • Amazing!!!! Bellisimo!!! Impresionante!!! Bravo!!!!

  • This is an excellent melody.

  • enfin, la version originale !

  • Garrarohtoh ... simply beautiful.

  • iyi müzik

  • maravilhosa-wonderful!

  • beautiful

  • So nice and peaceful

  • endless times in my ear, my mind,

    a voice that paints thoughts.

bears certain resemblances to casta diva

  • Lovely. So soothing.

  • New video of Danielle Licari singing Alive from Japan. For some reason I like the alive version much better than the studio one. The orchestra sounds more intense. Search "Danielle Licari Adagio Albinoni" here on youtube

  • what year was this song made?

  • it was release in 1969

  • Wyclef Jean - Apocalypse

  • why would you delete that comment? I was only stating who sampled it and for what song. see for yourself.

  • lovely

  • I think the name of the song is concerto pour une voix 1969.

  • simply marvellous!

  • I was 17 when I heard this for the 1st time. This was a loooong time ago..........LOL

  • such a lovely voice

  • i liked this video :)

want to chat with singles OT

  • Esta canção, me faz retornar a minha adolecencia, marcou muito, pois foi escutando ela que partir para outro estado, deixando minha dolecencia para traz.....que saudades ela me traz, \rosane

  • Pretty but lightweight, both musically and performance-wise. There are much more interesting & beautiful vocalises by Faure, Rachmaninoff and the incredible Gliere concerto, among others. I hoped this would be a terrific new discovery but to me it's music lite.

  • It'almost hypnotizing.

  • My pleasures to make you revive this moment!

  • Do you know how I can find a copy of that Concerto pour St-Preux with Danielle Licari so I can listen to it on my MP3.

    Thank you

  • Flv Converter, and you convert again with SUPER in mp3...

  • fantastic.

  • this is gorgeous..

  • very GREAT!!!

  • Thanks...:)

  • beatiful

  • this is indeed the 1969 recording of Danielle Licari, her style is so unique

  • does anyone know if she still sing???? I was in Paris and I forgot to look up when I was there

  • Vraiment magnifique !!!!

    merci !!!!!!!

  • Merlin1940 i could have written it in both langages, but it would not have fit the 500 char count limit :) Thanks for the service :)

  • I immediately recognize Danièle Licari's voice. This is marvelous (the best "Concerto pour une voix"), but only earthly; she can do even much higher: go and hear

Danièle Licari singing Marian Marciak "Sanctus"...

that's a shock in beauty that you won't forget. I was hit in 1971.

    Wed 23 Jul 2008 14:51 GMT

  • Do you have the audio for that piece?

I am gathering some of her music, she recorded a lot of albums

  • I have no more the 12" 33rpm LP with me. Google "Sanctus Marian Marciak Danièle Licari" shows it on priceminister (with a comment of mine) but no more available.

  • This song is very popular in Japan, Korea and Russia.

Is this song popular in China too?

    Thank you.

  • Doublehp ("DoubleSPK") said (worth translating IMO):

« I listened to this all my youth on 33rpm vinyl... One of the rare gorgeous classic music pieces I find beautiful, and that I am able to listen to end. Voice is used as an instrument... adding an extremely human dimension to the orchestra, while bringing nothing questionable, personal, or intellectual, as do songs, and operas.

Once, people could sing in tune with no correction from technology »

    Wed 23 Jul 2008 15:08 GMT

  • Definitely worth translating. I was too struck by using the human voice as an instrument, without lyrics to impede the purity of the voice..

  • I've never heard a beautiful voice like that

  • friendlyctba, I have heard a wonderfull Japaneese voice, a late teenage girl, singing at amaising tone and strength. Was a friend's tape.

  • what time signature is this in?

  • 4/4

  • This is my childhood too. Love it. Greetings from Brazil!

  • Marc Eckos Getting Up fa sheez

  • Where is she now?

  • J'adore, ca me rapelle mon enfance et combien mon pere me manque il aimait tant cette melodie

  • belledenuit1 ("Belle of the Night 1") said:

« I love it, it recalls me my childhood and how my father lacks to me, he loved so much that melody »

(This is only a translation, please readers direct your ratings to the original)

    Wed 23 Jul 2008 15:22 GMT

  • That was a pretty bad translation :p Only use the online translators to get a gist of the meaning.

Here is a less literal translation.

"I love (this song), it reminds me of my childhood and how much I miss my father. He loved this melody so much."

  • I love this song.

  • Toute mon adolescence. Une voix magnifique sur une belle musique. Une envolée lyrique

  • What a souvenir...my mother was listening the vinyl for more then 100 times in 70's

From 0 to 5 of age i heard this angel and pure voice.

    Really good souvenir!

  • This is the best rendition. What of Jean-Baptiste Maunier and Clémence Saint-Preux? They have skill, but music is more than that; it is beauty. Not something sensual and physical. It is invisible. I wish musical artists would present music as most did in the past. Give me the old-fashioned orchestra and a clear melody with a decent, wise, and poetic harmony. Not strong beats and rhythms, and catchy tunes which are more sound than music.

  • why no single word about the composer - saint-preux? ))

he makes SO sensitive and touching music!

it is his talent to create such a heavenly melody, which is beautifully sung by danielle!

    brava to both of them!

  • When I first heard her singing in the movie, Les parapluies de Cherbourg, in the 60's, I thought if angles could sing, they should sing like that. Later I heard her sing this song, concerto pour une voix, I was sure of my thought then. Now we are in the 21st century, I still think if angles could sing, they should sing like her. Andresansregret

  • It's a very nice thought.. I Agree!

  • It's beautiful. Her voice is so sweeping. Soft as linen, yet it reaches so far into one's heart. Amazing. She was just as touching in "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg," but I wish I knew more about this song. Wikipedia doesn't even recognize it.

  • You are sure that's Danielle and not Laurence Janot??

  • i'm not sure, but just try to hear more about danielle Licari and compare!

and please tell me about what you'll find!

  • What I hear and read is that Danielle Licari only sing the song Concerto pour elle from the album Concerto pour une voix.

  • Hi! All I know is, she's the voice singing for Catherine Deneuve's part in "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg"(The Umbrellas of Cherbourg)and it sounds very very much like her.

  • It is Danielle Licari's voice, (I've heard many songs of her)

  • I'm very sure that this is Danielle's version from 1969.

Laurence Janot sang in the nouvelle version from 1995.

  • This is very probably her singing.

The Japanese Wikipedia has information on her and the song. The American, sadly, does not.

In Japan this song and this version of it is very commonly known and liked; used in many drama's, in tender scenes etc.. Danielle Licari's voice is more popular in Japan than in America. Generally most Japanese find her voice to their taste. I think that's why "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg," was more popular in Japan than America. Almost everyone knows about it.

  • It is Danelle Licari, there is an error about Janot, she sings it too, you can find it on Itunes, (1995) Janot's version sounds like there is less freedom and the orchestra uses wind instruments which I don'l like, I prefer this version. much better!

  • What a voice!!! It makes me wanna cry! Beautiful:)

  • Yes. It's grippingly beautiful.

  • Fantastique! Quelle voix...
