I think Resident Evil 5 is an amazing game and while different then the other games in the series (more like 4, less like the first 3), it deserves a playthrough. I've gone through the game a few times unlocking all the infinite ammo for the weapons. Total I paid around $441 for the bundle. It will be more expensive now though.

Yeah that's my favorite part really. The system is great as long as it keeps working, but had it been black with a re5 logo or something, it would have looked much better. The controller is amazing though. I love the way it looks.

Anyways, has your 360 had any RROD problems or overheating problems since you've bought it? That was my main concern with which one I get so I decided to get the Elite w/jasper.... and of course the limited edition RE5..... No problem. I know the whole E74 and RRoD epidemic makes consumers (or people who already own the system) very wary about purchasing 360's. I personally love the system so much that I will endure all the problems it has. Hopefully Microsoft learns not to rush a console onto the market next time just to beat the competition.

The Halo 3 console is less likely to break down but this one is almost guaranteed not to. The Halo 3 model either has a Xenon or Falcon chip model. If Xenon, the thing has a pretty high chance of breaking down. If Falcon, it has much lower risk of breaking down. I have the Jasper chip model (all RE5 360's have them) and mine shouldn't break down at all because it shouldn't overheat.

It's really not about the Red 360. Its about the Jasper chip set (which for all your modders claiming that's the best way to do it, you can't mod a chipset), Resident Evil 5, and the 120GB HDD. That's why I bought it. It was a good deal and a better system then previous models. It really had nothing to do with the red model. If somebody payed $400+ just because it was red, then they are a moron.

No electronic device is "Flawless". The end user also play a part in the longevity of a product in terms of how that take care of it.

To answer your question, this model is better than all the older models because it was upgraded with the Jasper chip and other tweaks.

I actually have two Xbox 360 Elites. The black/grey and the new red limited edition. My Falcon Elite works perfectly fine, so please understand if you have one you should be okay if you take care of your stuff.

I agree. A falcon should work just fine, but is is more prone to RROD then the Jasper model. The Jasper model shouldn't have any overheating problems and it also runs much quieter than previous systems.

And I agree that personal responsibility must be taken into account when it comes to the lifespan of a system. I always keep mine in a well ventilated area and as free from dust particles as I can. The 360 may be prone to bricking, but personal responsibility is a factor to be considered also.

Yeah, they won't be in constant production. I doubt they will be easy to find after a few weeks. It depends on what places get shipments, if they are able to get any. After that the only place to get them will be Ebay.

**UPDATE - The system is running great everybody. It's also much quieter than all the previous systems I've had. It's a great system and if you need to upgrade and can afford it, go get one of these fast. Plus, Resident Evil 5 is great. Me and my friend are almost done with it!
