the solo on the album was recorded by a guest performer, they talked about it on the DVD that came with the re-release of Slaughter of the Soul. Anders originally wasn't able to play it as it was on the album, considering that this is from 96' he may not have had it completely down yet

the solo is played badly and it is a toned down version of the actually thing because it was not the at the gates guitarist that recorded the solo on the album it was Andy LaRoque who did a featuring solo on it, yes i was also very disappointed when i found this out and even more disappointed when i heard how bad a toned down version of the solo is played on this clip
