That's a nice little machine! I happen to own a TEAC A-2340 from the same period, but it lacks the reverse capability, but it is Simul-sync enabled for overdubbing.
I also own an A-2340RS, which is the newer version of your machine. It doesn't have the lever. It's all buttons!
