  • Hi! If you liked the Fallen series, you'll probably enjoy The Mortal Instruments trilogy, too (don't bother with Book 4: City of Fallen Angels. it's no good. You'll just regret it, since the ending of the trilogy was pretty good). It's a very well-known series by Cassandra Clare.

I heard they're also making a movie about this series, so, you know, It's better to read it before all the non-readers start freaking out about it. It's already too late for the Fantasy-book Junkies, though.

  • Yes!! Hush Hush was good but I got this book first but so good!

  • Heyy since you liked this book. You'll love hush hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I haven't read either yet but I ordered Fallen. I wanted to read Fallen. It seems more interesting but everyone says Hush Hush is better. Anyhuu thanks for the vid. It was good. you should do more. tc

  • I loved this book! (and i'm a fantasy-reader- maniac!) I'm not so sure about the Disney adaption yet- i'm a big fan of their work but this book is kinda dark and the darkest movie i've ever seen of them is Pirates of the caribbean- which wasn't very exiting.

I hope they make a good movie out of it because this truly is one of the best books i've ever read (and i read allot) :P

  • I loved this book! I've read the second one too (Torment) and I love it just as much, although Lauren left it on a cliff hanger!

  • i prefered it from twilight although i dont think they follow exacly the same genre.

plus i dont like twilight overly.

In twilight, the main theme is romance and the action is just so there is a story, in fallen the action and thinking is equally as big if not bigger then the story of the romance, in Torment the second book in the series the romance is questioned which i like alot as it makes the book seem more beleivable.

  • I'm getting this for Valentine's Day from my mother (long story) but I cannot wait to read it. It sounds amazing.

  • Well, I just finished reading this book, and I couldn't help but hate it. It seemed to reflect way to much of the twilight series. If you want to read a really awesome book, I suggest The Mortal Instruments series, it's unique and has characters that you can't help but fall in love with. There is way more action, the plot is thicker, and the author knew where she wanted to take the next book. I think you really should read THE MORTAL INSTRUMENT series. WAY BETTER THEN FALLEN SERIES.

  • I loved this book ^^ Read it in one day XD

  • I got this book for christmas and now I really wanna read it lol

  • @xmissbookworm cool..I hope you like it!

  • I'm excited to read this now!

  • For first question- Alex Pettyfer for Daniel, he would be perfect for it! dont know who else would be good tho for other characters, second question- loved the book, thought it was absoulutely amazing, there is a book called Hush Hush which is meant to be good and Halo as well :)

  • @bellannabel very cool, thanks for the comment!

  • *Answer to your first question* I pictured Amy Lee as Luce for some reason. But I don't think she can pass for a 17 year old but you never know. *Answer to your second question* I loved it! I think I might actually like it better than Twilight! O_o. And when are they going to start making the movie?

  • @7Skilletfan thanks for the comments! not sure when the movie actually goes into production, it's still in development phases though. I'll try to make vids when I hear updates!

  • *Answer to your first question* I /9for some reason) pictured Amy Lee as Luce for some reason. But I don't think she can pass for a 17 year old but you never know. *Answer to your second question* I loved it! I think I might actually like it better than Twilight! O_o. And when are they going to start making the movie?

  • @7Skilletfan I KNOW! I'm a huge Evanescence fan and the cover reminds me soooooo much of Amy Lee.

  • cool review i've been wanting to read this book for a while now! i know i will definitely read it now. i'm a 13 yr old writer and this kind of book is like my stories when i'm famous i recommend my books ;D like action and fantasy thrillers lil love story shoved in it? Chronicles of Vladimir Tod is the perfect series!

  • @alorraineb thanks for the great comment! I will look out for the series, and when you get published I will surely read your stuff!

  • @criticnic sweet! looking forward to seeing ur next review!

  • When I read it, I LOVED it. Then I went online and there where a lot of comparisons to Twilight. I personally think Twilight is overrated shite, and Fallen trumps Twilight. In a major way. The comparisons sort of made me do a double take like did I really like this book? And yes, I really did. I honestly don't see why Twilight should be the supernatural-romance standard.

  • @kittycatcarley I still haven't read Twilight myself, so can't make that comparison. thanks for the comment!

  • I rated 5 stars;)

I liked Your review and Ive also read it to,

    I think it's Amazing tooo:)

I recomend Dark Secrets by Elizabeth Chandler.

  • @iheartpigs2 thanks a lot! and thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep an eye out for that.

  • the storyline was good but her writing needs to improve. thats just my opinion.

  • t-y, now i really wanna pick this book up (:

  • @DRYKJ17 awesome! I think you'll love it. thanks for your comment!

  • If you need any books, I know you don't have many British books over there, but an author to look out for in passing is Tim Bowler, especially his novel BloodChild, that's one amazing book, best storyline I have ever read - keeps you guessing to the very end.

  • @foogufish awesome, thanks for the recommendation!

  • hey I think you should do more book reviews, your very good at this. I loved Fallen, anyways, this was a really awesome book review.

  • @jennih862005 thanks! I will try to do as many as I can, hopefully after this semester I'll have more time to read. thanks again for your comment!

  • hey i write book reviews, on my blog and my review is very similar to yours, i didnt know they are making it into 4 books,

  • read the morganville books becuase you like the genre and I'm a 20 year old like yourself. \and i love it...... Oh and to answer your question zac efron as cam. and alx pettifer as danail he seems suited to the role. and kirstan stewart as Luce

  • great review and I'm only reading it!!!!!!!! and and I love it

  • if ur getting into reading: Try Hunger Games and Catching Fire. For males and females and u cant put the books down. Check it out! and love to see ur review on them!

  • @yafictionfreaks thanks for the recommendations! those have been mentioned to me more than once so I may have to check them out, and I will certainly post reviews!

  • Great review!

  • @yafictionfreaks thank you!

  • This book has to be the best one I ever read. Over the past year, I've read over 8 books; a rariety for me because I'm very picky. I read the summary of the books 3 different times before I finally carried to the checkout. This book, like you said, had very good visuals. I didn't have to try to visualize the locations or characters; it just came naturally. Fallen is a well-written and well-thought out book. It definitely leaves you guessing.

  • sorry i meants some if bali rais book :)

  • i just recently started reading books too and here are some books that i think u would enjoy: the mortal instrument by cassandra clare, the house of night series by pc and kristen cast, the twilight saga and the host both by stephanie meyer, you should also red some of baki eais books because i found hilaruse and interesting.... Good luck with find the books u want!!!!!!

  • thanks for the suggestions! I definitely hope to check out some of those in the near future.

  • Hi, i have justed finished this book and i loved it. i got so envoled in this book that i finished in a day. i am super excited about the next book.

your review was awesome and i was also surprise to hear that there is surpose to be a movie, which i think would be awesome, although at the moment i can't think of my dream cast, do you have any ideas?

  • thank you! honestly I was having a hard time thinking of that myself, when I read I like to picture people I know or actors and was having a tough time with this one.

  • this is honestly one of the most amazing books! it's as good as twilight on any level.

i did a review on my channel-check it out :D

  • Thanks i think i'll read this =)

  • I read alot and I couldn't put this bookdown and I would recommend reading Hush Hush by:Becca Fitzpatrick

  • @HorseLover1026 thanks for the recommendation, a lot of people have been mentioning that one I'll have to check it out sometime.

  • I read the book in one day. It's amazing but considering They're letting disney do it that might ruin it for me because disney star characters are not the type of characters i vision for this book. When twilight came out i was into the book but the movie's and characters chosen for the parts made me never pick the book up again. And i use to read it alot for that matter so we will see how it goes. With fallen and i hope they do not choose the typical disney stars.

  • yeah we can only hope they don't make it too Disney-ized...thanks for the comment!

  • U r sooo open minded (: Aren't many guys I know like that (: Hahaha. I totally agree with u!!

    <3 Leigh

  • @LiveLaughLoveLife20 well thanks, I'll take that as a compliment!

  • i loved it too - the ending drove me nuts though! i was like what? its over!!!??? and now we all have to wait 8-9 months until the next one!

  • haha yeah I know, I'm still kind of surprised how much I enjoyed it..starting to worry about myself! lol.

  • P.s Alex Pettyfer for Daniel!!

    x

  • lol YES!!!

  • Like you, i got some gift certificates for christmas so i bought Fallen. I have to say it is probably one of the best books i have ever read, Go you!! For uploading this video, i think Fallen should get some attention as Twilight is hogging it all and Fallen is a much better book!

    Daniel! <3

    xx

  • Thanks for your comment! I really did love this book.

  • I read this book and really enjoyed it. I love the writing style; kept having to take a brake at the start at every chapter because I got so drawn in, Started and finished the book in a day on the way home to Ireland from NY. I defiantly recommend this book. Also Nic, if your looking to read any of this genre again you should check out Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Its sorta the same deal but a bit darker and a few good twists.

  • @halistra24 thank you for the comment and suggestion!

  • I was really wondering if i should read it or not, because i am a major fantasy fan, and the plot did sound interesting. Thanks for uploading this video, and now I know for sure to read it. Some other good books to read, are 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins, The 'Percy Jackson & The Olympians' series by Rick Riordan, and 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' by Nagaru Tanigawa. Thank you again for uploading.

  • you're very welcome! glad you found this video helpful. thanks so much for the suggestions, I will definitely look into those. I just heard that there's a movie coming out about Percy Jackson and the Olympians which seems like a great story.

  • The plot is really good, and original, but i strongly suggest you read the books first, because according to an interview with the director, he said he wouldn't copy it page by page like he did for 'Harry Potter', and instead do a couple of drastic changes.

  • i mosy certainly loved this book it is one of my favorites! i am now reading the tear collector, and soon after hope to start hush hush, which is another book about what daniel and cam are (dont want to give anything away) but it should be a good book and looks very cool! cant wait! but as the cast for this book i agree with some people on the movie adaptation vid. they should go with an entire cast of fresh faces i think the disney stars could not pull this off (that is just what i think) =)<3!

  • @songwriter013 awesome! thanks for your comment, I'll be sure to make a note of those. and I agree with you about the disney stars!

  • If I were you I would NOT read Hush, Hush. It is the most BORING fantasy book I have ever read. I got it for Christmas, and it was such a wast of money. Save your money and buy a good book like The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

  • @pchealthcom thanks for tellin me not to read it. i will check out the hunger games i heard they were good!

  • yep. the hunger games is AMAZING!!!

  • Wht is Hunger Games about??

  • The HUnger Games takes place in a furtuistic society. Now there are 13 distrcits and a Capitol instead of 50 states. There was an uprising against the Capitol and they lost. So as a punishment for the uprising, District 13 was demolished. Also, every year, 1 boy and 1 girl from each district are sent into an outdoor arena to fight to the death.

  • Sounds good!! I'll have to read it sometime, thanks! (:

    <3

  • Yeah I heard about the film adaption and got intrested in it on the first week it came out, but never had a chance to pick it up, but now Ima buy it, thanx for making my choice more easyer. =]
