Well, the sound he chose is indeed no good idea. It´s hard to control a plucky sound with blowing. Needs a clearly defined start. Blowing is´t clearly defined. There are tons of synth or simulated sounds that would suite much better.
I guess the main problem is brass/wind and even guitarplayers ist that they may have good experience in controlling their intstrument and it´s single way to produce sounds. But never learned to deal or even imagine fundamental different sounds. See the comments.
Other "Sax"-controllers even dont need blowing, just tapping the "keys". They are dynamic-responsible, here you can play plucky sounds or even drums without any problems. Those controllers have MORE than one way to play. Needs some imagination.

I can't understand why people use these to try to emulate a saxophone/flute/clarinet/whatever when they can just play the real thing. I wish people would explore the synth sounds on these more. @stonerh yes it does. embouchure has nothing to do with this, hes farting out noises not even related to saxophone's pitches. Besides, he might as well do what hes doing without blowing into it. It's a synthesiser after all.

it would be better with a different sound. what's the point of emulating a guitar on a synth? it has tons of potential for electronic music though. you could get some bitchin solos over a house track on one of these with the right sounds. me wants.
The instrument is OK, but unfortunetely this animated digital background isn't cool at all. It does not match this musical presentation, it is distracting, dangerous for your eyes and can make you puke.

Are guitar players the only ones allowed to use effects? The future of music will not lie with purely acoustic instruments. Please look up "The Art of Noises" by Luigi Russolo.

our school has one of these. you can make it sound like anything. we use it in our marching band shows. we call it an eewie for electric winds. theyre hella expensive
