Xbox 360 doesn't need a blu-ray drive, it's like Ballmer said "The future of movies is on demand as opposed to via distribution on physical media", just be sure to have enough hard drive space and a great internet connection.

bluray won the war when it comes to games and movies because of its security features, its not the best medium for data performance wise.

In my opinion I think that the PS3 is far better. It has more computer power the same memory and is full HD running with blue rays. I mean the 360 uses these crapy HDDVDs that nobody on earth wants or even makes except for some guys who don't know in which platform they should develop a good game. Sony might have some losses with the PS3 however I think it's far better than the Xbox 360 (and trust me it is).

Although one game they should've made multiplatform is unreal tournament 3. You can use your controller on the PC version now, and your mouse and keyboard on the ps3. So they should just go ahead and add multiplatform support.

@ls15blade The cost investment to have the coding in place isn't worth it. Too few people would buy a game just because it's support cross platform playing. Some games have tried in the pace and failed miserably. Plus being competition, they have no reason to work together in this endeavor.

@ls15blade it happened before, but only lasted a week back in February, over 4 million gamers were online on the CoD blackops global heatmap on both consoles (it usually hovers around 50k). the games were kinda laggy during this time, but the players were never in the same games cross platform but were on the same CoD7 server partition. its the closest it has ever gotten.

the call of duty elite service was rumored to be intended to link cod mw3 cross platform but was removed for security issues.
