for straight hair usually 5-6 inches to be safe, so that would be 12.5-15 cms.

nice cornz... it needs about 15 to 17 cm long hair, dats what i heard,, but it depends on if u have like afro hair so u can make it without needin to have long hair but if u have like normal hair then u need to get long hair to fix it,,or u can fix hairextansions or whatever u wanna call dem, but dey coast some cash

They told me that it all needed to be at least 4" long. If I did it over, I'd say 5" would be even better.

I know that U were asking him, but as someone who braids hair I would say yes your hair is long enough to get braids. It doesent have to be the same length all around just long enough to catch. Hope I helped :)

That's about where my hair length was. I think they told me 4 inches was the shortest it could be. I wanted mine to continue curving in the back but they couldn't b/c it was too short. I thought that was bull, but that's what they said. I'd recommend waiting another 1/2 inch or inch. My stylist still felt it was a little hard to do mine b/c of the "short length"
