  • Hmmm...no mention of poisoning our boys. Jeff Wilson and Josh Kronfeld puking their guts out on the sidelines...remember watching that in disbelief in '95 with the rest of my U21A squad. "Smash the man with the ball and drink beer afterwards..." haha...not a bad call for a yank.

  • he is soo hot in the movie!!!!

  • I LOVE Matt Damon <3 x

  • shit that is a terrible face accent

  • Inspiring!

  • Inspiring! Imagine what any nation can do with inspiration!

  • Matt Damon nailed the white south african accent hands down!

  • 1 of the greatest films i have ever seen wow truely incredibly powerful

  • How ironic...he is talking to Harry Smith and there is a place in Kwazulu Natalo called Harry Smith!..btw...have happened to have hung out with Matt Damon by accident and he is a fabulous human being:)..Loved this movie!..especially also because it's my home country.

  • i loved him in this movie...he was sooo great

  • Matt is soooooo sexy in this movie!!!!He is just damn HOT!

  • Best film i've ever seen, hands down.

  • I'm a South African & LOVED this movie; & LOVED Matt Damon & Morgan Freeman in it! No foreigner has ever done a more legend South African accent than Matt - ever. (LdC didn't come close). I wish for every single South African to watch it (again). It would remind us to stay unified. Heaven knows we need that right now.

  • Fuck he nailed the accent

  • @macharmza no he didn't

  • @Chaosfromthedemon Your opinion

  • @macharmza what afrikaans man speeks like that? it's terrible and what rugby forward is that small?

  • @Chaosfromthedemon1. I said nothing of his size,2.Our South African accents are very hard to do and I think he did a very good job

  • @Chaosfromthedemon

Oh well, when Francois Pianeer stood beside Madiba in the film, Madiba was taller...

    *palm*face*

  • @Chaosfromthedemon

your crazy Matt damon nailed it!!!

  • @H2T Bullshit that is the worst SA accent I've ever heard... Francois Pienaar sounds nothing like that

  • @Chaosfromthedemon This oke's an actor not an athlete. His accent was not perfect and it sounded forced, but he did a decent job for a yank. Even Freeman's Madiba impersonation wasn't perfect and his eyes aren't chinky enough...see how stupid that sounds... Both of them did a brilliant job I reckon.

  • @Munki6 no lets be hones. I could atleast believe Freeman was Mandela but Damon was absolutley nothing like Pienaar and usually youtry to get actors who can be convincing as the person the are playing

  • @Chaosfromthedemon well if you had to be pedantic about it, no, Damon sounded nothing like Pienaar. Freeman didn't really do Madiba's accent as well either I find, but I rate it was a good attempt. At least they weren't incredibly far off. You've just got to remember it's a movie firstly, and secondly a movie depicting something that really happened - it can't possibly be absolutely perfect. At least they got the point across. Anyway, that's just my take. Each to their own hey.

  • @Munki6 that's not the point when adopting a true life person as character you only have so much artistic license. Freeman sounded more like Mandela. Damon as a professional actor should not be excused for failing at adopting the part convincingly as a fan it kinda ruined the movie for me and thats why i don't think he should have played the part

  • to watch the full movie visit my channel

  • LOVEEEE Matt Damon :)

  • Brilliant film, inspiring... My new all time favourite film I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to see a fantastic film.

  • Yea now the whole world will get to see a Haka on the Big screen

  • such a good movie, but i had to drive 40 mins away to a theatre just to see it but it was so inspiring loved it

  • watch my ireland invictus during their UNBEATEN 2009 season in rugby

  • aaaaahhh Matt was superb in this movie just like all his other movies really also morgan was too love them both

  • okay anyone whos seen the movie i know this is gunna sound silly but thers a tarantula in the opening scene is ther any other bits with spider, wanna see the movie so bad but hard core arachniphobic

  • NO MAN THERES NO AMINALS,SNAKES AND SPIDERS IN THIS MOVIE its all clean and a great movie i saw saturday

  • 6 months working on the accent, then the movie goes to Germany where some failed actor in a booth reads over Damons lines with a translated script in a boring monotone voice, dubbing movies should be outright banned.

  • Damon and Freeman were both great in this.

  • Matt Damon did a great job. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but it was very well executed!

  • Ye, I've got to say, being a South African myself, Damon's accent is very impressive. He truely is a great actor. I would love to see more on how he truely felt and what he was left with being in South Africa. Love the comment on the tongue gymnastics. That's exactly how I feel about the American accent.

On another note, the spam sux and is rediculous.

  • Agreed, his accent was impressive. And he is a very good actor. I don;t understand some of these negative posts.

  • Great! As a New Zealand, I can only say we had no chance. We were playing 15 men against 16. They had two captains and the best player of all - Nelson Mandella. By the way, I think that Matt Damon is about the only decent young American actor around now. Clint can sure pick them - Hillary Swank was great too. Of course, Morgan Freeman IS Nelson Mandella. Either one of these two could be World President. Both great guys with charisma.

  • New Zealand were awesome. They added alot to the occassion. Had the Boks not faced the All Blacks, I don't think the win would have been as memorable in my opinion.

  • Blitzbok. You are right, and I respect your comments. NZes have immense respect for the Boks, and I think it goes the other way too. There was a lot of talk about the All Blacks being poisoned before the match, and it was done by the British bookermakers. This is quite possible.

At the time, I was happy that the Boks won, as it meant they were back in the game after so long. Also, it bought the nation together, and I was very happy about that too. A NZ win wouldn't have been as exciting.

  • That how bad an actor Matt Is!! people don't even want to watch it for free!!! He sucks!!! the movie would of done good if it wasn't for that assclown!!!

  • well that was a horrible attempt at spam cuz theyre arent even playing soccer in the movie you moron.

  • @fukamatte its rugby, and its not soccer, its football, call the latter American football mate.

All great games in there own right, played them all...

  • Great movie, rugby is better than american footbal!!!!!!!!!!!!! open your eyes!

  • Great movie,so sad that most people prefer to watch alvin and the chipmunks 2 instead of this great movie, people are fucked up

  • i wounder what would have happened if the all blacks had not been food poisoned

  • Mandela - great man

    Damon - great actor

True democracy is Invictus, which America still doesn't seem to understand. Nice title; one of the greatest poems ever written.

"Don't let the bastards get you down"

    "Every day,

    see who you are.

Remember who you want to be. Have faith in God and confidence in yourself." the last quote is a good one I heard a minister state one time. Compelling if you are religiously-minded. I personally like "Fuck the world" because ain't a damn thing changed

  • Just saw the movie.Fantastic,Wonderful job by Damon playing Francois Pienaar and what a great perfomance by Morgan Freeman. This movie should win Oscars/

  • damon solidifying his place in acting history... this role might earn him an oscar nomination.. ill need to go watch this film for freeman and damon's performances

  • @TomatoBasil23 both are up for oscars :) Freeman for best actor and Damon for best supporting actor. Good, eh? We'll just have to see the oscar results on the 7th :)

  • Hu cares about the food poisoning controversy. Its who has the better side on the day that wins- sorry that is a bit of a Murray Mrxted cliche. The Springboks played well in the final, we have never been to good at world cups because we can't stand losing a single game. As long as the winning team plays entertaining rugby i dnot care.

  • 2 words - FOOD POISONING!!! - Hope they highlight how South Africa CHEATED their way to a world cup. How does half a team (the Allblacks) come down with food poisoning the night before the world cup fina!!!!l. What a load of crap, fucken cheaters

  • Shut the fuck up you cunt

  • Get fucked dipshit!! ABs 4 Life

  • South africa rapes all blacks, look at the last world cup pussy

  • South Africa have a better team, although minus Montgomery, at the moment. Good tri-nations series South Africa. Morne Steyn is keeper.

  • fuck you you kunt, the allblacks are chockers, they only mentioned food poisoning after the match not before,SPRINGBOKS FOREVER

  • I absolutely loved this movie! I am South African and huge Springbok and rugby supporter in general. I was beyond happy with both Matt's and Morgan's performances (and accents, please Teach Leo!). It brought me to tears 3 times... well done to all involved!

  • Wasn't Leo playing a Rhodesian?

  • Sounds like the movie is about ethical choices...interesting for those who THINK

  • hahah as a white SOuth African Matt Damon did a great job with the accent he is truly one of the best actors.

  • If Matt Damon does not win a Oscar for this role, I don't what else he can do!

  • BOURNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.. Hey Baby

  • Looking forward to this ! should be great movie!

  • Matt Damon is the best!
