I hope you all know that Naturia Cliff's effect, which is Ignition so it either can or has to activate upon the timing of him being sent to grave, activates upon tribute/ synchro summon because his effect resolves as a chain link 2. Get it right guys. Ever professional will say that, and its true.

@informationmanmike if you tribute it misses timing. It says "when", meaning it has to be the last thing to happen, in a tribute summon the monster being summoned is the last thing to happen.

I know this might sound restrictive, but I was testing out a Naturia deck that did rely on Bamboo Shoot; however, the catch was I ran only plants to boost with Solidarity and Burden. Between a 2800 ATK Shoot and weakened monsters all while having no S/T available, even Effect Veilers had minimal effect. This was largely due to the fact I also ran Bribes and Compulsory just in case. While not completely efficient right now, when Maron comes out in PHSW I think that build could go far.

@thejuggernaut648 yeah the deck needs maron, but veilers hurt because it turns off bamboo shoots effect forever. it never resets next turn. but i like the burden idea! except you cant run stuff like cliff and butterfly, but its a different idea entirely

i would really take out gorz for an effect veiler. u have a bunch of traps that just stay on ur field. i rather have a veiler which is almost never dead and protects ur bamboo if you don't have fiendish chain.

@monarchSYNCHRO yea i've been playing around with taking gorz out, but honestly they usually trunade b4 trying to otk you, and i only play three things that stay, chains, and call. which is the same amount as a plant deck that plays double limit reverse,i almost never have gorz as dead. and when you play max c. you really want to draw into something like gorz, but yeah i just find veiler not as good as it used to be. still side it though

@MacroSynchro plants don't run 2 limit reverse. they run 1 and that's already too many cuz of tengu being played. but if you draw gorz a lot and get lucky to have it while u get trunaded then i guess its good to run it.

@monarchSYNCHRO people almost always make an attempt to clear your backrow b4 pushing, and also i can play around the gorz in my hand. it's not like i HAVE to set everything you know what i'm saying? i have considered making a really control version of the deck without gorz and with safe zone, cause that card is goooood

why does cliff loose his timing when he's used as a synchro material monster? its like a sangan except its not mandatory. you an choose to activate the effect when the monster is summoned or am i wrong?

@MrBeto2020 they have ruled it online and on wiki that way, it's because for him to resolve the last thing that happens has to be him hitting the grave, when you synchro, the last thing that happens is you monster being summoned so it doesn't work. also he reads like petten the dark clown which also misses timing. and lastly if cliff didn't miss his timing he would be soooooooooooooo BROKEN.

@FLUFFINATORofCA -____- you have to run dandy in a plant engine. if you don't run dandy you can't make tokens, you can't make shooting star first turn with reborn and lonefire. you have 2 cherries on field, foolish burial on dandy seems good then, o and did i mention TOKENS : ]
