  • DuckDuckGo sent me here

  • Parlez-moi dans la langue de Moliere, en français! Molière avait la passion du théâtre et moi j'ai toujours eu la passion de Molière :-)

  • Am I the only one who finds the way they pronounce 'Moliere' in the voiceover REALLY annoying? It's french, at least try :p

GREAT movie btw! Just like le roi danse, I recommend that one too :)

  • Tulsa's HOTTEST New Theatre!

    youtube.com/watch?v=cLo9VTeS8Y4

  • Questions about this movie were so on an IB french exam -_-*...NOW I JUST WANT TO SEE IT!!! XD

  • @oepsewoeps If you find out, lemme know. Ive been trying to find that piece for forever :D

  • ......um is this even historically accurate?

  • @capt0skittles they explain that in the special features, something about moliere being gone for a while, like MIA because he didnt come out with any new works or anything, so they kinda made a whole story to explain where he was this whole time before the ending....and if you havent seen it, i reccommend you shud, its really good (:

  • could someone please tell my what this perfect music is (1:00 - 2:00) ? i love it !!! I recognize it from the trailer of "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers"

  • Does anybody know what is the name of the song that Valuer and Jourdain's daughter is singing by the piano?

  • Absolutelty worth watching - interesting speculation about his disappearance before emerging to become the father of slapstick comedy.

  • @schwebebahnable Molière is the best comedy writer ever by the way. He changed theatre to become what it is today. Nowadays, the biggest event in comedy is held each year in France & Quebec, the Just for Laugh festival. So yes,French people pretty much invented comedy.

  • so this based on a real story? or just an imagination of what could inspire this play?

  • Romain Duris can do EVERYTHING!

  • I just saw this movie last night on SBS1 as part of the French Film Month and I loved it! I would recommend it to anyone who is contemplating watching it or who just wants to watch a good foreign film... It has all the good makings of a period film, romance, lust, love, costumes, comedy and tragedy ...^.^...

  • 0:32 old guy played in The Girl from Monaco. :)

  • La mejor película que he visto!!

  • Beautiful work !

    Thank you for posting !

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the song that starts at 0:59 and ends in the end of the trailer????

  • One of the best movies i've ever seen. A movie that made me laugh and also cry...

  • by the homemade stitching that gradually. I found this movie free @ MovieWatcher (dot) US

  • oh god! i really love this movie!!

    it´s just amazing!!!

  • We had to watch this in French AP without subtitles.

I was surprised that I could understand all of it...

  • The music for this movie is inspired by many classics.

  • love this movie, love moliere

  • What's the music that begins at 0:30 ? It's Mozart? I have no idea :-(

Shit that this movie is not available in german :(

  • that's Vivaldi from "The Four Seasons"

  • I love this movie! :)

  • Nothing like a little faux Mozart to make you feel like you're at the court of Louis XIV...

  • It's summer from the four seasons of Vivaldi... Faux Lully would be more appropriate in your critic... Mozart was never at the court of Louis XIV.

  • Yes, that's my point. Vivaldi would not be appropriate, either, being Italian & late Baroque. I said faux Mozart because the music they use here is more characteristic of the light sound of the Classical age rather than the dark, rich sound of early French Baroque. Louis XIV wanted to create a uniquely French music & arts culture, & allowed Lully to practically choke out foreign competition. Maybe I'm biased--I prefer the soundtrack to Mnouchkine's "Moliere"--darker & more period-appropriate.

  • I should add, that the soundtrack to "Le Roi Danse" is also excellent.

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the songs of the trailer? please.

  • yaa this movie was so fun xD

  • Should I watch this movie?? Is it highly recommended???

  • @burtondylan100fan YES WATCH IT

  • @burtondylan100fan hell ya

  • @burtondylan100fan its SO good!

  • @burtondylan100fan YES its really good. watch moliere :)

  • @burtondylan100fan YES WATCH IT

  • Awesome film Molière, never get tired of watching this movie. One of the funiest parts, is when Monsieur Jourdain tells his wife, Madame Jourdain, to hide her breasts, but she is actually not showing anything, and she feels completely embarrased. I love the clothes, luxury, poetry, acting, their voluptuous way of life; everything seen and heard in this movie. Le Bourgeois gentilhomme is a great play, a masterpiece.

  • u think Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme is good? Why cuz i wanted to start with it a while a go..

  • Great film! I just saw it last night. The costumes and the scenery were breathtaking! Excellent work of art!

  • the announcer ruins his name. Anyone else think this? I wanna see this movie very much! Speak to me in the language of Moliere!

  • un film qui était fort bien. a voir

  • i really liked this film very different and entrtaining (:

  • What´s the last song?

  • saw it in my french class. hands down one of my favorite movies since. hilarious, with hints of sadness make it an excellent all around film

  • This film is truly amazing and a work of art.

  • we're seeing this movie for french night at my school!!

  • this is really a great movie. so sad at the end

  • this is a fabulous movie!!!

  • mustache must be this big to ride.

  • moliere rules!

this totum revolutum is one of the best recopilation from moliere's language.

  • believe me, misses jourdain is absolutely hot in her corset...

  • Je veux le voir! Sait quelqu'un ou on peut l'acheter aux Etats-Unis?

  • Vous pourriez acheter le film au ebay, amazon, ou walmart, peut-etre.

  • I love this film, it's beautiful. And Moliere is super hot, not gonna lie.

  • J'aime Roman Duris!

  • c'est une film excellent!!! acabo de verla y de verdad que no dejas de reirte! es lo mejoor =D

  • J'adore ce film - ne pensez vous que Moliere est un peu comme Johnny Depp dans "Pirates of the Carribean"?

  • what does it say from 1:46 onwards:

_______, parlez-moi en france, _____, Parlez-moi dan la langue de moliere?

    thanks.

  • Ironic part where, drunk, his career in shambles, Molière says : one day people won't say 'Please speak to me in French' (only a vehicular language at the time, that of an elite while all the others spoke in regional languages and their dialects...) but 'Speak to me in the language of Molière" but they mock him... Yet that's what we say today : the language of Shakespeare, Molière, Goethe, Cervantes...for respectively English, French, German, Spanish... He was right... ;-)

  • On ne dira plus parlez moi en francais, mais plutôt parlez moi dans le langue de Molière ! ^^

  • oui! c'est vrai! il est, comme on disons en EU, un "hottie".

  • Amazing film; just watched it this evening, highly recommended!

  • hhhh

  • I saw this movie. And I thing this film is not bad. Moliere is the best:P

  • Moliere -- why wont you f*ck me???

  • OH Moliere when will you leave your rapscallion ways and finally grow up?

  • I imagine Roy Dupui in this role :)

  • Romain Duris is cool

  • Un super film, je l'adore... à voir !

  • i cant wait to watch it

  • Oh que c´est beau et que ca me donne envie de le voir!
