As someone who lives in the UK, it seems that you are being extremely prejudiced. There are a lot of Hispanic people in the US, over 10%, and as such, this is the reason why Comcast and no doubt other companies offer Spanish as an option of their phone helplines.
Also, it isn't the responsibility of Comcast to check as to whether or not the person receiving their service is living there legally.
The equivalent company in the UK, Virgin Media, does not make these checks either.

and just to let you know, if you ever want to apply for a DISCOVER CARD the call center is in Mexico, the same call center, they take calls for OPTION ONE, IDT, COMCAST, and a few credit cards that i dont remember the names, i used to work there, for a full time rep wich is 48 hours a week the pay is 7,000 pesos wich is in dollars like 700 a MONTH, 192hours a month, like 3.6 dollars an hour! and thats the same for tech support and customer service.

If you think this is fucked, check out what the banks are doing!! They will open an account for anyone with a fake I.D. and SSN as long as the computer checks everything out. I can't even tell you how many calls I'd get from guys with American names and thick Mexican accents! Scary part is that sometimes the REAL customer would have accounts with the same bank so all aka Miguel aka Mr. Brunstein would need to do is go into any branch show I.D. and ask any teller for his account numbers and ....
