The sound of the video recording must be MP3, because they sound like audio in that format, but compressed within an inch of it's life, hence the metallic warble.

With a stitched band or some tape you could stick the HD 808 under the cap, however, it's a lot more noticeable than this.

@Techmoan I'm looking for a cam to mount in my airsoft gun to make some videos, here in Brazl we have a lot of taxes, and the price is too high. I watch all of your videos to buy a good cam. One fot the head and other to scope (scopecam). For that reason i look that one in particular.

If you want a bluetooth headset that you can use normal earphones with, may I recommend the Sony Ericsson MW600. You just plug in normal earphones and away you go, sound is great playing from my HTC Desire HD. It has the controls for the player and also has a very good built in FM radio. I bought it for listening to the radio or my MP3s on the train.

I have a bit of an odd request, Could you review a video camera that you could take to see a live band with. One that can zoom in, works well in low light ( or indoor light) and has a microphone that wont pickup nothing but distortion? I have been looking and there is not one that I have found like that, every one I try the mic always peaks and all you get is a horrible scratching noise.

@ciscokev I didn't buy a bluetooth headset in the end. I was also considering earphones using the Kleer technology like the Sennheiser MX W1, but I don't really want to look like Uhura when I'm listening to music. I think I'll just stick to normal earbuds until something better turns up.

You should check out one of those music beanies. It's basically a beanie with two headphones in them, like you would find in those cheap on-ear headphones. I have one and it's awesome for in the winter, although it's been replaced by my Ushunka ;D

Great review, as always. If you leave it recording does it "wrap around" and record over old stuff, or just stop when it runs out of space? - I'm thinking this is perfect for video evidence for people like bouncers or lollipop ladies.

What i really enjoy about your videos is that you buy things I would never think about buying. What I mean buy that is when you look on ebay and you see a camera shoe or something I think come on that can't be real but then you buy something like that and im like wow these things really do work. hi techoman really enjoy your videos i just wanted to ask you if you herd of (DOD F900) its a car dvr that looks very sexy and records at 1920x1080 at 30 fps and there is a oem version that records 1440x1080 15 fps thinking of buying the original but my question is it worth paying $270 for DOD original or oem $80 thanks
