Also, I laugh when people bash Canadian health care. I just spent a visit up to Canada to see a friend, who happened to have an appointment at a clinic for some pains he was having. The room was empty. It was a weekend.

Look at a map. Why did Newfoundland Prm Danny Williams come to America for heart surgery? Cubans are fleeing socialism. Again, if they spend so little and live so long why come to the US? Ugh. I don't think most people in the U.S. know what health care is really like in Canada. It depends on the population of where you live and what province you live in. Yes, sometimes there are annoying wait times, but a lot of the time it's only a few minutes. It does take longer here for surgeries, and that's why some people will go to the USA to get it done sooner. I receive good, "free" health care and would not trade our system for what they have in the U.S.
