Women considering abortion should interview those who already have had one, and see a video of an abortion procedure before they do. They should also see a financial report on how much clinics make and how much they get from taxpayers. Pro-abortionists would hate that because truth is their worst enemy, and clinics would lose precious money.
@Beckyboom, you're an idiot- 90% of what planned parenthood does is pregnancy and STD prevention. In no way are they encouraging women to have abortions so they can make money. Planned parenthood is required to charge money for abortion because that is the one thing that the government won't fund. Also, the nurses and doctors that work there are super compassionate, helpful, and understanding of women. The life of the woman trumps the life of the embryo which has the mental facets of a fucking
This makes me so sick to watch, I couldn't even watch all of it. How can you say we are anti-women? You are promoting a "procedure" that is degrading to women on so many levels. Also, I don't know where you are getting your information, but what you said about pro-life groups not caring about what happens after is a complete and utter lie. This is not uncommon, in fact, I'm not suprised to hear more of these lies spewing out of the pro-abortion movement.
@Beckyboom2 Don't worry, I'll be trying to interview people of the Pro-Life side soon too. I'm making a documentary re: the entire debate, not going to take sides (even though I have my opinions)
It's actually alot harder to find vocal pro-lifers to interview than vocal pro-choicers, haha.
Though, I'd like to know your opinion on what you think about abortion which is degrading. Looking forward to your reply. :)
@kenjiwardenclyffe planned parenthood is making money off of women in desperate situations. They "sell" abortion to nine out of ten pregnant women that go to them...this is taking advantage of women in one of their most desperate and vulnerable moments in life. Most women who have abortions say they were pressured from an external source - this could be family/boyfriend and even the clinic itself (drivin up the sales!) It isn't even a "choice" for many women.
@kenjiwardenclyffe pro-choice isn't even about a "choice,"it is pro-abortion.They want women to have abortions.Especially planned parenthood, who disguise themselves as being concerned about the wellbeing of women, but all they want is the money. Why do you think abortions are so expensive? If it was indeed for the women's wellbeing, it would be cheap. I'm not saying this should happen, but I'm trying to point out to all those so called "feminist pro-choice" people that being this way is anti-woman.
As for a fetus being a mere "cluster of cells" rather than a human being, I would simply offer this challenge to you: Why did every public school science textbook until Roe vs. Wade affirm that a human life began at conception? Alternatively, what proof do you have that a fetus is a cluster of cells and nothing more than that? I don't mean to sound belligerent or anything like that--I apologize if I am coming across that way. But this is a subject that matters.
As a pro-lifer, I can assure you that aside from a few loonies who call themselves pro-life, we have no interest in controlling women or denying them their rights. Our concern is with the rights of the child within her. As far as what happens after the pregnancy, there are many pro-life agencies that offer invaluable services to women and their babies both during and after their pregnancies, so the idea that pro-lifers have no concern for what happens once a baby is born is simply false.
@1r1shCath0l1c2 Thanks for the input. I think that the view that life starts at conception is true, but the issue is, is it a human life in the conventional and scientific sense (as well as moral)? is it a cluster of cells? is it something we should call a child? That's an issue which needs to be addressed.
My opinion, well, I'll keep that to myself.
In the documentary i'll be making about this issue, i'll be interviewing both sides of the debate. and i'll keep it unbiased.
