People who are making comments: Obviously Never Have Had a Quaker Parrot! They are one of the most loud small parrots a person can have. And YES before they learn how to talk (up a storm) they can be Extremely LOUD and obnoxious with their calls.

Heck! Even after a Quaker learns how to speak human they can see something outside a window and make that loud-contact call to warn their beloved human "something 'dangerous' is outside". Usually it is a vehicle and it is 100% NORMAL People!

i read in a quaker book, when your parrot makes that noise like growling kinda, he is mad......you need to give him to someone who treats him better...

He doesn't make that noise anymore. He only made it when he was a baby! when he was new and exploring, he got excited and would growl!!

yeah i was like he doesnt seem happy, my bird chirps when he flies and hes making that noise a lot because hes falling and they don't like that at all

LOL!My cousin just gave me a Quaker & I'm trying to make him/her comfortable with me.This is day 1, but any1 can see that your bird is noisy cause she wants to go OUTSIDE....some1 would have to be absent minded not to be able to see that.Each time the bird went right BACK to the window lock, it was like"HELLO,OPEN THE DAMN WINDOW ALREADY,as it was looking rught AT THE CAMERA!LOLOL!I love animals they're so raw;-)

Yes, I should have put a warning on this video he is very loud, but at the time the video was filmed he was only young and now he talks instead of shouting so I'll put a new video of him talking on soon.

Is he hand tame? Making some angry sounding screams :-P My quaker only makes those noises when she's upset. Usually when there's strange people outside (i live in an apt) or I if have to vacuum.

Yes he was hand reared and is very tame, He was only a baby here, and he has stopped making these noises. He now talks a lot and still has moments when he screams/calls but not so loud!! thankfully :)

LOL. they can be!!, you have to watch him as he can be quite destructive, I forgot I left my Laptop out when he was out, when I came back he had removed two keys! :(

There's a lot of new colors of Quaker parrots now. There's black, brown, green, and all white.
