I always love watching your shoulder mount technique...your abs are so strong now that you just rise up like a cloud--as smooth as the breeze! For that sit-up from brass, maybe putting the pole in the armpit as you go up instead of holding the elbow grip would make it easier. I haven't poled in so long, but as I remember it, as soon as you "sit-up" the pole grips better and you are more secure. If you do it quickly enough, your hands are on the pole before you start to slide. Great video!
@Poledancefan Hey Joel! Nice to hear from you, thankyou!! You know last year when I did those monkey videos outside I was sitting right up like a bird on perch, but this thinner pole being its a 45 is a little harder & I seem to hit slick spots etc, I don't know it doesnt feel real secure getting out of it that way, once my legs completely slipped down! So the jury is still out on rather I will try that, but I can't do that forearm grip, I can only do the elbow grip for some reason!! xoxo
@bobbishop2013 Thankyou! I know on the lighting, but when its cloudy there is no sun in that room, as those windows face due west, tho on dances when its like that I lighten with my editing program but it never comes out that good either :-((
Don't start on your age again lady! I am just over half your age and dream of being able to do the things you can do. :) Keep rockin it, and stop counting those birthdays. LOL
@spinbunny Oh baby your soooo sweet, but age is the one thing I have that is a big excuse why poling is soooo hard on me, course thats just one reason - lol :-)) Thankyou! Your soooo precious! xoxo
PT2. You define those words. Your style is unique and what you accomplished is both amazing and important. A camera does not make a filmmaker. and a keyboard does not make a musician and jerk-the-booty-and-flash does not make a dance. Here is a simple truth, sensation will never replace substance.
NO YOU DON'T!!!!! your not getting away with that, there is NOTHING like seeing you work, if tricks were the point and acrobatics the term dance would never have been used. Beautiful, Intelligent, Enchanting, Profound, Elegant, Graceful, Provocative, and Sensual. All of those word have some very important meanings. It is strange how rarely they are used to describe someone who is truly so much more than just worthy of their use.
@rockydark Thankyou :-) Yes this is a hard move & scarry, taking your leg to the opposite side of pole like that is scarry! Thanks for your positivity & encouragment!! xoxo
Don't short yourself Heather! Give yourself credit at 50 for having the ability to do those exercises! I'm a few months from being the same age myself and I think your giving our generation a good A for showing we still got it!!!
@ednbv Oh thankyou!! You know I always think I am just muck fumbling around, but as I have said many times, muck fumbling is better then no fumbling! I thought turning 40 was a killer, but 50 is going to do me in!!! xoxo Thank you very much!!
