LUCY the horse is actually pretty bouncy to ride i think this young lady has a great seat and the only things i can see that need to be said are maybe up your stirrups one or two holes, sit a bit deeper and try be lighter on your hands remembering everyone this is a trail horse that at times can be quiet stubborn and set in its ways she gets my vote coz i no first hand lucy is bouncy to ride...oftr rules
Well done for having a go! I would have to say that you are a little unstable, I would shorten those stirrups a few holes to help you balance a little better, that and sitting back will but you deeper into the saddle.

i remember that before cantering my teacher worked on my on getting my legs strong so i can hold on to the horse and when i canter by butt woulsn't fly everywhere. =P so one tip is sit up like the jockeys do (remember to put up ur stirrups a bit higher) and hold that pose for a few times around the ring and youll see your legs will get stronger and stronger. plus you can hold your horse without a problem and you wont be everywhere on teh horse. xD

hey just some advice .. wen u r cantering try and keep ur bum in the saddle and push from behind .. it will feel more comfortable for both rider and horse :)
the up/down movement is called a rising or posting trot, if you didn't rise with the movement you'd just be bumping around in the saddle and it's very uncomfortable! lol jumping was tons of fun! I love it! We're going to make the jumps higher in next lesson hopefully ^_^

It might help your position if you shorten your stirrups, and I find that if you are having trouble keeping your leg behind the girth (which I know I always am) it helps if you make sure that you are sitting directly on your seat bones...these are just friendly tips, don't take them personaly because I know if I put up a vid of me riding, there is a ton of things people could point out to me ;)

LMAO. Very nice job! I couldn't post if my life DEPENDED on it. It's a little hard to get the rythym at first but you really just have to concentrate on the horse and his rythym. But you did better then me! My instructors always got after me for not keeping my heels down.. I think I want to ride again! What camp did you go to?

thank you =) I ride English, we don't have Western here. Well we don't have to saddles and all the gear but I do occasionally ride with one hand on the reins :)
