What was that replying to? GH4 and RB are made by different companies, yes. Rock Band 1 was made around the time Guitar Hero 3 was made. The creators of Rock Band made GH 1 and 2 as well.

Then the people that made GH said "Full band games aren't the way to go", but Rock Band was successful so they copied it. Then Rock Band was a lot better so they are copying it more in GH5.

Guitar Hero 1 through World Tour on eBay + GH1 guitar for PS2: $70.
PS2: $100
GH1 guitar for player 2: $20 on eBay. The GH1 guitar works on both franchises as well as on PS2 and allegedly the PS3 with an adapter.
RB1 Drumset: $20 on eBay (also works on both Sony consoles and franchises). Also bought some drum silencers for $10.
Mic: Free with most Karaoke revolution games: $30. Also works on GH and RB franchises.
RB1 was also obtained for $16 on eBay
Grand total: $266. Pwned.

Yes. Even after Harmonix left the franchise, it just seems like GH has more personality than RB. Not that RB is anywhere near bad though.
