  • Absolutely amazing but I have to admit although the horse is more powerful in his movements this clip does not move me in the same was as Andreas Helgstrand and Matenee's performance did simple because of the music You get the feeling in this one that the performance movements were chosen and then the music pieced together to fit. The other one flowed better and so moved me more although this horse performs as well or even better!

  • @76sherie you are absolutely correct as this was how the music was made. We now need to see him ride to it to get the effect you seek. Unfortunately, we now know that can't happen...

  • impresionante !!!!!!

  • Perfection!!!!

  • @Vanthus That's probably the best compliment any has ever made - thank you!

  • Tés jolie reprise de dressage le jour ou je pourrai faire sa avec la jument que je monte je serait trés heureuse! Trés beau couple j'aime!

  • che binomio!!!!!!

  • Ohh my god!! WOW WOW WOW :') LOVE

  • OMG I LOVE IT TO THIS MUSIC they should actually do another one to this im so sad hes not going to compete and in germany :( waste of his skills

  • Absolutely stunning!

  • actually, gunna comment again...lol. i can't tell you how many times i have watched the two tempis over and over, that is just...beyond perfect. ♥

what's the name of that song used for the two tempis? it's got a catchy beat. ;)

  • @Gabitothegreatness Comment away!! All the music if from the soundtrack of Kung Fu Panda. You can call all the tracks up on iTunes or Napster etc.

  • @kendolling okeydoke, thanks! :D

  • this is wonderful! i haven't been able to stop watching it, i love it. :)

  • the song by Pink- Fkin perfect would work well for the passage and piaffe

  • @jeaninedressage Firstly, thank you for commenting, but the song you are suggesting has vocals, which is seriously frowned upon by judges and avoided by competitors. Secondly, I don't think it is suitable to use music from a band with a profane and vulgar name. Not something a commentator at an event could repeat over a public address system to an audience.

  • @kendolling I really liked this freestyle, although i didn't really like the music it fit the ride.

I was just saying that Pink Fkin Perfect would work well because it has a good beat. and you could get the karaoke version of it. Dressage freestyles have always used classical music, it is just soo boring, and it needs to be a bit mixed up. I myself would use songs like: Abba- Dancing queen. Coldplay- Viva la vida Kevin Rudolf-let it rock. The song i mentioned by pink, and more pop songs rather

  • @jeaninedressage The problem with trying to use Karaoke music is that there is no melody, its just the backing track. A Lot of people think Karaoke music is the answer, but if you listen to any Karaoke you'll see/hear what I mean. I agree though most classical music is somewhat stayed and I avoid where possible. However, have a listen to "Deviations Project CDs", classically based, but with a modern, almost house, type beat and arrangement.

  • @kendolling Yes what you are stating is true. I will go and look op the deviations project

  • @kendolling that is true, i have found that it is hard to use karaoke music. but the song by pink, karaoke version, starting at 2:34 in this video : .youtube.com/watch?v=uNGo8jp8r2I&feature=related does work, i have tried it out with my horse. I will look up the Deviations project, and listen to it.

    Jeaninedressage

  • @kendolling rather than the same old classical music

  • This is absolutely brilliant! The music was perfect. What a stellar pair and performance.

  • WOW too bad edward gal wont be using moorland totilas anymore!! >:(

  • Together with Anky van Grunsven they are Holland's pride! Such a shame that Totilas was sold!! He and Edward are the greatest, a true team!

  • in pasage iets meer het ritme eronder zetten.

  • hahaha i LOVE that u used the music from kung fu panda... thats just awesome lol!! ... this horse is amazing

  • wow i am usually not a fan of the classical music used in frestyle, but that was incredible, i love the changes and tempo and all, it kept the test interesting the whole time :)

  • That horse is just amazing!

  • I rarely used to watch or read anything that had to do with dressage (I've always been more of a horse racing fan), but as soon as I saw Moorlands Totilas, I was absolutely memorized. What a beautiful, talented creature he is! And Gal does such a great job riding him. For the first time in my life I actually feel like keeping up with dressage. And the creator of this video did a fantastic job adding that music. It fits very well.

  • @riotracer Yeah you're right. When I see something like this, I just wanna jump on my horse and try it out!

  • what an amazing creature he is!!

  • Can you give me the name of the music ?

It's beautifull. Thanks from France :)

  • @YouCanDreaam its the soundtrack CD from Kung Fu Panda

  • this team and this music are wonderfull, congratulations to E. Gal, Totilas, and the creator of this video. Thanks from Spain.

  • I freaking love this! Nice video. I love this horse. I drool. lol

  • This is amazingly choreographed, my 8 year old daughter who is a very capable rider already ,watched in awe and hopefully she can acheive this as well when she grows up.

  • I think the music alone has been put together brilliantly. Although powerful like Totilas it has quite a strong asian theme and when you think of all the music the world has to offer there are many other styles and genres that would be far, far more expressive and better suited to this combination. Exhilarating piano music for example. I don't mean anything associated with boring old lady opera either. The type that tells a story, that reaches a climax, and that brings tears to your eyes.

  • wow ** music does not center a lot with they but and much harmonious one with the movements...

(p.s. Sorry for my english but I'm italian and I have used a translator ^^)

  • You actually deserve an award for that edit and was a million times better than the original. Fair play!

  • amazing test, love the music, would love to be able to ride this, but in a natural horsemanship way :)

  • I have watched this so many times, its so sad they wont be together anymore :(

  • wow the music is AMAZING, would you be able to send me the different songs and what gaits there used for in this??

    its amazing :) thanks

  • @laugherlady moorland farm sold totilas to a german farm two weeks after the success in kentucky at the world equestrian games. It is unclear whether he will be shown by a german rider, but edward has taken totilas's sister as his new horse and will start competing with her

  • Wonderful rider, wonderful horse, wonderful theme = Success!

  • wow nice ... hey could you make me dressage music im doing an elementary freestyle at the end of january

  • Amazing rider, amazing horse!

  • Everytime I watch this I get tears in my eyes. To have such a relationship with your horse, it is something I dream about. But my tears are for Edward Gal and Totilas. I understand that Totilas was purchased for a lot of money but couldn't the buyers take Edward with them? I know he is heart sick and I pray for them both!

  • Perfect performance :)) simply love it ^_____^

  • Coś pięknego ..

    Ta muzyka te ruchy

  • 1:49 Wow!

  • I would also suggest using One Step at a Time by Jordin Sparks for the trot, or use Let it Rock by Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne

  • I don't like Edwards freestyle music. this one is better, but what i would suggest is using music that is a little more rough (like michael jackson's beat it,

  • wow you would think this peace of music had been designed specially for him! amazing horse and rider such a shame that they have been split up. no one will ever be able to ride totilas as well as edward gal!

  • that is really good with the music! well done! I wish edward could have actually done that in real life :(

  • Amazing music you made, i fits perfect!

  • very well done!!

  • speechless wonderfull video, Some body wrote rest in peace did Moorlands passe daway?

  • @marcospitta No he's been sold and probably will not compete again after the Olympics in 2012

  • @kendolling Dang! If he was my horse I'd never sell him. :-)

  • @kendolling yep for 13million

  • speechless wonderfull video, Some body wrote rest in peace did Moorlands passe away?

  • I'm speechless! He's just amazing!

  • I loved your choice of music. You're so talented! I hope team Gal sees what you've done. You made the Kur even better if that's possible So light . the timing is impecable!!

  • @harry17303 I totally agree with you;)

  • Nice!!

I will give you a buzz for my next KUR music!

    Good job

  • fantastic!!You re going to be the creative musical director of my freestyles!!!!

  • Bloody hell that was amazing!

  • i really like your music experiments, you manage to time them so perfectly! you going to make any more soon?

  • Super fantastic! You should do Totilas music for his freestyles. I agree that his current music leaves much to be desired and fails to showcase his incredible abilities. Let's hope this gets back to his owners/trainers and gives them some ideas on how to expand and improve his performances. Thanks!

  • nejúžasnější tančící koník na světě..miluju..:o))

  • super etalon, il est vraiment exeptionnel, on a son demi frere a la maison!!

  • a lot odf people are saying that Totilas needs more powerful music, but in my opinion i think the more delicate music is beautiful! his piafe/passafe works relly nicely with thatmusic, shows how light he is, like he's dancing on air. people need to be careful with powerful music because it can be confused with heavy, and a dresage horse shouldn't look clumsy and heavy. thumbs up to you - for me, this really works! <3

  • WOW.....

  • He is crazy!!

  • Edward Gal & Moorland's Totilas as a riding duo... Rest in peace.

no pair will ever be like them again but even separate, they are both freaks of nature.

    TEAM GAL

    TEAM TOTILAS

  • @Sophabopha14 are they no longer competing together? Is someone else riding this horse?

  • Wow! Having ridden dressage at a basic level and understanding it, I cried watching this performance. It was VERY beautiful! You could see the horse and rider really enjoying themselves and being totally focused together, a beautiful thing to behold!!

  • This is perfection on the hoof! What a horse.

  • i don't think it really works. some parts the rythm matches really nicely and other times it doesn't work. but what really matters is that it did really match the horse. i think the horse holds to much class and proffesional charactor. and for that reason i would say i didn't like it

  • Wow! YOu definately have a talent for the music. Super choices!

  • You did a great job with the music to fit each gait and the program itself! But to be honest I don´t think that the music really fit the horse. If I were you I would try something more powerful(:

    And by the way, I love the music you put on Ankys freestyle!(;

  • Absolutely fantastic musical reworking! Massive congratulations on that... very nicely done!

  • dang that horse can move

  • nice horse - looks a bit behind the vertical and a tad overflexed at the poll, but nice - trots like a saddlebred, or dutch warmblood

  • really nice great horse and rider

  • MERAVIGLIOSO

  • vind deze muziek muchos leuker

    top gedaan

  • That was fantastic! Do you want to do this for me? I'm not that level but who cares!! Is it easier in hind sight? Wonderfully on the beat. Fab. Only bit I would quarrel with is music for canter pirouette. I felt that in his 'winning' show, that was fabulous and chilling and loved it. I agree powerful music for powerful horse = spine tingling. Thank you, I will put it in my favourites. I have to add to being very green in the dressage to music department, but I love it.

  • Top Classe, PAARD en RUITER Alle sterren die je kan geven!!!!! Lex v Klaveren

  • TOTILAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    MERAVIGLIOSO!

  • WOOOOOW!! Amazing!

  • waaauuuw!!

  • I think you have done an excellent job with the videos on youtube, would you consider making one for us at a lower level of dressage what we have to use for a Championship? we have a 2 nd level test with a friesian

    thanks

    Pieter

  • I love the music you put together on this! :) I wish you could help me with a freestyle piece I have to put together for a comp coming up! :)

    Gabe :)

  • the transition at 5:50 works so, so, so well with the music. just lovely!

  • I love the music! really great! ;)

  • well done ! its like you made the music for this kur..

  • your videos (this and the anky one) are amazingly awesome, let me no if you have any others on the way please!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is waaay too cool! The music felt oriental to me which gives a mysterious yet majestic! You ARE good.....!

  • echt super cool

  • -says in nice way- Did you add the music in? also it looks awesome :)

  • wow, great music, you should do this for your living!

    great job!

  • I would say, sent this video to Edward Gal. Would be a nice inspiration for him for a next kür.

    I love this music!

  • For a first attempt that was brilliant. Can't wait to see your next :-))

  • sorry for my english i'm french :) it's beautiful !

  • @lisettedp Thank for your kind words

  • wow amazing , what music dit you use ??

  • @niepcelovster Music details on the front of the video

  • @kendolling where? I didn't see them :( could you please name all tracks by their titels

  • qual a raça?

  • DER BESTE !

  • i lovelovelOVEEED the canter half pass music, that was awesome! i would love to know how to do this kind of thing, cos the only kur music i make is really rubbish! haha what program do you use?? thanks for sharing!!

  • i lovelovelOVEEED the canter half pass music, that was awesome! i would love to know how to do this kind of thing, cos the only kur music i make is really rubbish! haha what program do you use?? thanks for sharing!!

  • do you know where this was filmed? it's not at olympia i don't think. you've done an amazing job fitting this music, i watched this video as part of an equestrian sport course in dressage and we were all impressed with how different the test looked with this music :)

  • @angel0apthy It was the European Champs at Windsor - can I ask what Equestrian sport course is about, sounds interesting?

  • @kendolling Ah thank you :)

It was a 3-day course in dressage at my stables, i'm not sure if it's an official BHS thing or not. we spent 3 days doing various bits of dressage (up to some elementary level moves) and had some theory sessions watching videos like this of the top level as well as prelim, novice and elementary level tests to see what the judges are looking for. i think there were courses available in showjumping and cross country as well

  • wish i could do this ur very good have to say i think it is very sprightly and happy maby suit a finer built horse i just think he is so big and powerful needs something more epic

again i have to say i dont have your talent though so prob wrong to comment =)

  • It is fantastick horse....:)

  • Beautiful job, really really well done.

The only way I think you could improve it is the the piroutette music is a bit quiet and coould be reflected a bit better with something a bit more bold

  • I am sorry, but the English language cannot adequately describe the beauty in this partnership...thank you so much for sharing this performance with us.

  • do u take video requests???

  • WOW i really wasn't expecting to like this - there are some crappy videos like this on here. but this is amazing! my favourite part HAS to be the light airy japanese music whilst he's doing his passage - it looks and sounds so delicate - and then exploding into an extended trot down the center line before the walk. perfect and on the beat! the cnter work was all amazing - those changes were perfect! thumbsup and please do more of these- i love them! x

  • AMAZING!

  • THANK YOU TO EVERYONE'S KIND COMMENTS

  • Amazing! very good job :)

  • The music is perfect ! It fit Totilas right on the spot ! :b I love it ! :D <3

  • omg i LOVE it!!!!!! it gives totilas sooooo much more personality!

  • omg this is crazy i am in love with this vid

  • the 6 people who dislike this are retarded! Period!

  • I LOVE THIS ME AND DESTINY <3 THIS ME AND MILLIE DESTINY AND ROXY

  • i like this music so much better than he actually used. i agree about the original music not doing anything for the test.

  • Ive been looking at tons of freestyle videos, both remade for entertainment like this, and the originals made by professionals. And this is the absolute best Ive seen so far. You have such a talent in timing the music to the horse, getting the right emotions and making it so interesting to watch all the way through by editing the music to the way the horse move, for example the canterchanges (I dunno what its called in english) in the serpentines. Lovely, lovely work! Looking forward to more :)

  • wow this is really nicely done!

  • wow, it fits perfectly!

  • this horse is the most beautiful dressage horse i've ever seen in my wholr entire life. This owner is very lucky!

  • totally amazing

  • you did such a great job!

  • what was the song for the canter i think it would suit my horse

  • What is the music in this video? Thanks! Great show you put on!

  • Everytime i watch this video, i've a smile on my face :)

Great rider, fantastic horse and i love this music! Maybe even better then the original!

  • I think you've done an amazing job.... everytime I watch it (and I watch it a LOT!), it gives me goosebumps. Thanks for posting :)

  • Very good job i esspecialy like the music for collected trot, passage and piaffe and the music for the changements. I know this is hard to do so well done. Please check my video's. I also gave it a go.

  • <3 it !!!

    thats great =D

  • Wow - that is fantastic - and I think better than his original music!!! Am off to look up similiar music for my own freestyle...!!

  • You do a very very good job with the music... I love it *_*

The horse is simply beautiful and impressive. I love them :D

(Sorry I'm French so my English can be strange xD)

  • I love the feel of this music, it really is different. You find that many freestyles are very classical and dramatic, and this music in my opinion adds to his great feeling of suspension, and airiness

  • My Heart stood still, my mouth agape at the proffesionalism and almost perfection of this performance, I am in awe....

  • 10 this horse and rider gets a 10

  • That was pretty cool....by any chance, would you be able to tell me what programme you use for editing the music?

Also, when is "experiment number 2" due to be finished and shown off to planet Youtube?

    Thanks :)

  • i love tihs music!!!!

  • @alexloveslotte Thank you!

  • so great

  • WOW. That's an awsome editing job!

Music for the pirouette - two tempi changes = LOVE IT!

  • wow! What can I say but that I'd hire you to do coordinate my music! It fits so perfectly and I feel that the intensity and power fits this horse so well! Amazing!

  • this is really cute, but i think intense horses need intense music. i think it would be cool if he did a freestyle to some Apocalyptica.

  • @PapaRoachGirl18

For those of us who have worked "live" with music and horses, you discover not all "intense horses" need "intense" music.

    ken, brilliant job!

  • @equimusic well i would assume it really all depends on your opinion.

  • @PapaRoachGirl18

For those of us who have worked "live" with music and horses, you discover not all "intense horses" need "intense" music.

    ken, brilliant job!

  • im trying to find that perfect song too....anyone have suggestions??

  • I loved the piaffe/passage/canter music soo much! *PERFECT* I think perhaps the extended trot gets a little lost with the music choice there but not enough to completely throw the freestyle off. :))) Loveeeely job!! A pleasure to watch.

  • now there is something to enjoy, after all, watching this performance... stunningly well adapted taking the labor out and putting focus on 'lightness' instead. Absolutely brilliant!

  • finally there is something I can enjoy watching this performance... That is an absolutely brilliant job, love it!

  • Wow this is a fabulous job! Are you a professional?- as if not, I think you have a new vocation for putting dressage to music!

I do still love his original music, it is so powerful and dramatic, like the horse himself. But this also really showcases the sheer lightness of footfall in the passage and piaffe, with the airy Japanese music.

  • @enlighteneduk I like the original music too which is "Jean Michel Jarre's Equinox 4", but felt it really didn't enhance the image for such a fantasic horse...

  • so you matched up the music to this video? wow, you did an amazing job ! :] awesome work !

  • Well done. I enjoyed that performance to music - especially since the music seemed to fit together as a whole, despite the differences in beat needed for each gait. (Unlike the previous music, where I was glancing at the clock wondering when it would be over.)

  • Inspirational!

  • c'est vraiment extraordinaire =) !!!
