I would prefer Lars play. He sounds louder and his facial expressions and his body gestures are just awesome. Whenever Lars plays, you can feel how awesome and powerful Metallica's music is. That's why he's one of the best. But Joey Jordison is another great drummer with a totally different style. Don't get me wrong, I love Joey Jordison too. No matter what people say to them, they're nothing compared to these guys.

i get offended as much as the next metallica fan when they say james's incredible voice has gone, *IMO* (dont flame) he's lost the capability to sing the high notes, but still does amazing with low notes, you cant expect him to keep the high notes forever at his age, hes my favourite singer and all but he's loosing it. Not lost.

Yeah check out his voice in 1992 compared to 1993. Can't remember which show, but I think his voice 'blew' in 1993. Basically since then he can't sing those high notes anymore. :(

I like Metallica but I dug the fact that Joey pulled this off without a hitch. There is nothing difficult about it and any seasoned drummer can play. At times I REALLY appreciate you Lars because you work well with your band which showcases your abilities but you are NOT indispensable. This 1 song proves just that. Good job Joey. No dis-respect Lars but clean up your act Bro and let your drums do the talking. Peace Bros.

Lars get ill because of his stomach at the day they should play at this festival. Slipknot also played there and the asked joey to play.
Lars' Drumtech had also played about 17 times or more instead of Lars, becouse of "illness".
I am a musician by myself, and it is the most difficult thing to copy the Syle of another musician in the way, noone can hear any difference.

Sorry buddy, but 2 hours before the show he got to rehearse, but still he did do an amazing job.
and of course Lars couldn't play slipknot, 2 way different drummers with 2 way different styles and techniques, besides playing Metallica on drums isn't very challenging.
