  • anyone else hear a hyena at 4:43 ?

  • Wolfmother is bringing back classic rock!!!!

  • This have taste like 7sarmi iks de

  • damn that rickenbacker!

  • Why is there so much good Aussie music?

  • @jerome4031 What? Wolfmother and………. Pendulum…. and…… erm…………………….

  • The original wolfmother was my favorite band, i still like them now but their music is a bit different now.

  • i don't know, but when i hear the intro, it reminds me a part of sheeps of pink floyd

  • guh. out of tune guitar ;/

  • Doors/zeppelin/rush

  • @goblinob Wolfmother.

  • @goblinob so basically everything awsome lol

  • @321greenfork123 Where are the other band members now? If they aren't with a project that turned out better work that Cosmic Egg, then i'd suggest they re-examine their reasons for splitting. Not knowing much about the details, I'd say it was a stupid move on their part.

  • Comment removed

  • whyd they have to split ;(

  • @321Green1Fork123 they didn't. check the wikepedia

  • @somenun i take that back, its just the singer and an all new band now

  • @somenun wolfmother is still together but the only remaining member is the singer. The others left because they got in an ego fight. You can tell that the actualy songs (not the lyrics) are different. They try to be psychedelic in the new album like they were in the first but its just not the same. The awesome psychedelic breaks came from the other band members and not the singer.

  • that song's climax makes me climax.

  • Wow he sounds just like Robert Plant

  • Getting a little Who, with some Sabbath thrown in, add a little Zeppelin. But it works.....good on ya boys!!

  • @Stickblower Everything good = Wolfmother :)

  • although wolfmother is one of my favorite bands, it seems like they lack some style and passion when it comes to their live shows. I wish they would show some more passion during their live shows.

  • @OSUkid24 Please tell me youre being sarcastic

  • That drum roll. Gets me every time. JOYYYYYYYYYYYY.

  • I hate the you say jb I saw pink floyd. 90% of teens comments. Come up with something original!

  • @iplaydrumsnguitar I can't understand shit. Speak English, please.

  • @msmotron there's much more greater rock bands than that... like white stripes, led zeppelin, black sabbath, the beatles, pink floyd... etc.

  • White t-shirts in Australia must be like blue jeans in America.

  • plenty of sabbath there

  • 6:45 I came.

  • Guitarist playing drop D when its just not nessecary hes doing it well, no hard feelings buds.

  • @Dennizzz119 actually it is necessary, during the main riff he hits the open strings between the chords. if he didnt tune down then the open e would make it sound like shit

  • If you ever listened to pink floyd, led zeppelin and Rush and you get the same feeling when you listen to wolfmother. Thumbs up guys!!!

  • Mike Patton is right....

  • 2:18 mistake

  • this band is good,,sounds like sabbath and zep with geddy lee singing,,,lol,,,but the songs are theirs though,,pretty unique i think,,everyone sounds like somebody,,remember that

  • @MsMorton wtf all those bands on the "rock" side suck complete asshole

  • Stockdale is like Bolan with Plants voice. I swear to god, if he went on a total sex animal look I'd turn gay just for a while.

    ...Is that weird?

  • @TheNinetySecond

    kind of... ;-)

  • que banda...!

  • Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin and Wolfmother is Wolfmother.... but the version they do of the song communicationbreakdown is very good

  • I just discovered this band and they ROCK! Their 'hard/soft' sound is refreshing and reminds me alot of the prog-metal bands of the early 70's!

  • THE MARS VOLTA OWNS THIS! OMAR RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ BABAAAAAAAY!

  • this song is insanely awesome! great performance...

  • I do think they are a potentially great band, but I feel the guitarist needs more skills. More complex chord choices and skill in playing interesting leads. He doesn't do much with leads. Great timing, though. They're no Uriah Heap: I've read such comparisons. I'll continue to watch and hope for more from him. I do think he's got a great voice, though.

  • @MsMotron all those bands on the rock side suck, they arent real rock they are pussy rock

  • why is only wolfmother playing this kind of music

wiso nur wolfmother wiso nicht noch hundert andere bands mehr

der organist / bassist geht immer so ab

  • why is only wolfmother playing this kind of music

wiso nur wolfmother wiso nicht noch hundert andere bands mehr

  • why is only wolfmother playing this kind of music

  • @MsMotron The White Stripes (Under Great White Northern Lights), The Black Keys, The Black Angels. Reincarnated music...actual music! Check them out!

  • This shows that true great bands should be able to sing live. Fucking auto tune.

  • @Trengo34 not sure if you know of Phoenix...probably do, but they are also an amazing live band without the need of auto tune. this is great stuff, you can tell even though the video.

  • andrew *_*

  • does anyone else get the same feeling when they listen to this when they listen to "do you feel like we do"? when frampton comes in with that wooooaaahh! on the voice box, those chills man, i get those chills when heskett blasts in with that drum roll and the song freaking explodes!

  • @Skatemore1243 I feel the same. Love that part. Seen them live, both old band and new. Awesome

  • @Skatemore1243 there not drum rolls, there sixteenth note triplets! get it right! :D

  • @somenun Oh my bad, I don't play so I was just kind of assuming, but thanks! But yeah, amazing skills right there!

  • Comment removed

  • Andrew reminds me of former Supergrass's lead singer Gaz...and of Jesse Eisenberg too :)

  • What kind of organ is he using??

  • @DieselTV korg cx3 i believe

  • @djh0267 yep

  • @DieselTV A Korg CX-3 vintage, i have the same one.

  • I will gladly experience Wolfmother live.

  • forget the old ''there will be another Led Zeppelin''

I think there will never be another Wolfmother

  • If these guys would have been around in the 70’s they would be fucking legend now

  • Wolfmother Is The Best Live Band I've Seen. Andrew is Sexy And Very talented. He's The Whole Package !!!

  • @lucy1116 Meh, not sure about that. Look, I don't want to start a fight with the old WolfM = Led Zep re-make, because I think WM are definitely talented enough to stand on their own. But there's no denying that they got people's attention because they sound like LZ, with 1) Stockdale's Plant-copy voice, 2) mystical/spacey lyrics/song subjects, and 3) blues-heavy chord-crashing hard rocking sound. I'm not so sure they would have gotten the attention had there been no huge LZ paving the way.

  • @jum1801 I don't have a problem with them sounding extremely similar b/c I never cared for LZ at all. I only enjoyed like 6 or 7 of their songs so Wolfmother is that amazing voice but with better guitar and lyrics for me. Probably one of my all time favorite bands. I'm sure LZ was awesome in their day though just for me they don't stand too well against WM

  • @jum1801 Yeah I Hear What u Are Saying. Sorry If I said That. I Know WM has Their own Sound. I Was Lucky To See Them Live. So I Totally Get What U. I Love The Fact that WM's Style is Very Different Yet You Can't Deny That He's Inspired By Many Great Psyche Bands From The Past. But What great Band Isn't , Still They Should Get Credit For Being Unique Because They Are !!!! So I Promise I'll Never Compare Them Again. This Goes To All WM Fans!!!

  • Well, if we want to keep this music, don't download it. Buy it. Buy the CD's and DVD's. Maybe even requesting them on the radio.

And I just want to say: I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND

  • i think the drummer does the best instrumental! very cool

  • you gotta love this song. tunee!

  • I found this band by playing rockband! go figure! a true combo of cream, humble pie and uriah heep......o and grand funk railroad

  • Great video! Thanks for posting!

  • love this song

  • I need Myles!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was the Wolfmother that I remember. I'm still a fan but this early Garage-Rock-Zeppelin sound is what I loved. They could tour with The Dead Weather if they still sounded like this and that would be a ridiculously good tour.

  • SG sound a little out of tune...but once the distortion kicked in it was awesome! I was gonna see these guys at Hard Rock Calling, but they canceled all their Euro shows :(

  • @Hondo8080 u need to listen to the bands PORTUGAL THE MAN, or PASSION PIT, or MINUS THE BEAR

  • @dialysis

hell yeah! PTM and MIB especially. Ive seen portugal live three times, they're f'n amazing.

  • I love andrews hair SO MUCH!

  • this sounds verrrryyy zeppelin-ish

  • OMFG THEY SPLIT UP!!? WHY!?

  • @LOFAO876 yea but wolfmother is still around Andrew(lead singer) just got a new drummer rythme and bassist

  • Pink Floyd mixed with Led Zeppelin. Fantastic band. For all the people who say they're unoriginal. I say, who cares? They sound amazing, create amazing songs and are great musicians. That's what counts.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but is their bass player using a pick?

  • @spooner113 alice in chains bass player uses a pick all the time. he is one of the most amazing bass players too

  • @snakemanl I wasn't hating on him, I use a pick most of the time.

    Great song!Very, very good!!!

    Rock´n´roll!!!

  • They are just great! Haven't heart something like this for a long time. Such a pity they split up:-(

  • my fav. band,thx :)

  • illuminati pyramid in the background

  • Everyone listen to the Black Keys as well, they're fantastic! bringing back real music

  • wow!best band in many years ago...

  • that whole instrumental part leading up to that drum fill always gives me goosebumps :]

  • The rebirth of rock...God i miss the 70's.Wolfmother gives me hope.there will be another musical revolution. All this modern hip-hop non-sense merda,is going to be over soon and bands like WM will be at the top of the charts again.

  • sorry to say but there really nothin compared to led zepplin not to be a downer its jus my penion

  • @MrKillerqueen45

Ya but Zep isn't making new music anytime soon....

  • @markusx2468 or at all

  • there the rebirth of the good rock and roll generation

  • looking forward to seeing these guys live at Download Festival

  • His rythm section left him b/c he wasn't that good at playing guitar. His solos are so weak, a5 year old could play them.

  • @MrFigueroa007 u play this whole song, i look forward to you video :)

  • @MrFigueroa007 try to sing and play at the same time JOKER AND THE CHIEF...

  • Led Zeppelin is an old version of Wolfmother.

  • Led Zeppelin is an old version of Wolfmother.

  • you might say wolfmother rips people off, but theyre amazin, every hot 40 band is the same, at least wolfmother goes back to the good classic rock and roll, i wish they stayed with their original line up, they were frozen in the 70s, and defrost in this era for us to love,

  • What kills me is that people get on here and bad mouth the names of their new songs saying that's already been done. Well, consider some thing, there isn't a lot of music that has not been done already. There is only 7 notes of the classical scale anyway. This sounds like Zep or that sounds like Sabbath, yeah-there is only 7 notes in a single scale...

    BTW, Wolfmother is the crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bigbadbob58 aye,keep telling yourself that...

  • The uneducated seem to have something to say with only the basis on an assumption. Sad. Take some music theory and maybe you might start to understand my comments a little....

  • The first riff reminds me of Led Zeppelin

  • this is the dogs nuts !!

  • its a shame there aren't many bands like wolfmother anymore, its all bullshit pop

  • @derajrm the strokes arctic monkeys son buenos

  • this is the best rock band i have heard in awhile

  • Wolfmother totally rips... especially their drummer!!

  • I love old Wolfmother, but their lead shows no emotion on stage. I love him, but 6:48 is the most I've seen out of him. Great music though.

  • at the perth acdc conert they supported and at the end of new moon rising he was going nuts

  • the first time i saw wolfmother was on live jtv like 4 years ago i bought there album loved it but the new formation just isn't the same. those 3 rocked harder then the 5 of them now.

  • @bizza52 Yeah i totally agree, the old wolfmother kicked arse, but in saying that,i bought cosmic egg last week and love the album...

  • yea, its definitely not the same. in actuality though, wolfmother V2 really impressed me. i thought cosmic egg would never live up to there 1st album, then i gave it a listen and it blew me away. yeah there not the same, and never will be, but they"ll still rock out as one of the best bands of all time!

  • don't stop wolfmother.

  • Awesome! Seen them couple of years ago in Edinburgh! Can't wait to see new line up next week in Glasgow!!!! New moon rising!!!!!!

  • going to see them in newcastle next week XD

  • 6:45 = kick ass

  • hondo8080:

I agree. Have you heard of the Datsuns?. They are a great hard rocking band from New zealand

  • I'm 42, been through '70's rock, '80's, '90's grunge...this is the first real ROCK band I've heard in YEARS. There is still hope for music!

  • If you like this, listen to Jet. Especially their first album Get Born, which was awesome. Other than Wolfmother, they're the only real rock band I've heard in practically forever. Billy Boy On Poison isn't bad either, but that's more of an Aerosmith vibe.

  • @CrosbySucks87

what is your definition of rock?

  • Check out Joe Bonamassa if you like bluesy rock

  • @anonymouslolxD

    best artist ever!

  • @Hondo8080

Go listen the following list of amazing swedish acts, they're either to find on myspace or here on youtube:

    Troubled Horse

    Witchcraft

    Abramis Brama

    Graveyard

    Asteroid

    Svarte Pan

    Dead Man

    :)

  • @Hondo8080 Just my thought. Though, I have not been through all that personally, since I'm 16 years old.

  • @Hondo8080 yea you're old we get it bit that doesn't mean it's your place to define real or fake rock. Leave that to the youth

  • @aggromann666 I might be "old", but I might also be your daddy, so show some respect. Your mom gives great head by the way.

  • @Hondo8080 No offense, but the "mom gives great head" line isn't all that mature for someone who's 42

  • @demravager What do you want me to do, take the kid to a ballgame? Sorry, some idiot starts it, why beat around the bush? "Leave the music to the new generation" or whatever his idiotic comment was. When I was that age and some old dude was telling me what it was like to see Led Zeppelin or the Stones live (when they were young), I listened. Music wasn't invented the year that moron was born, so he might want to think beyond the span of his own short years.

  • @demravager What do you want me to do, take him to a ballgame and buy him some cotton candy? Besides that, I wasn't joking.

  • @demravager Okay, you're right, I shouldn't have said that. She might be terrible at it and I'd hate to give a bad reference like that. Jeezus, lighten up. I thought I was the old codger. Can't a guy even tell a "your momma'" joke anymore without it being a hate crime or something?

  • @Hondo8080

don't worry, i'm not throwing judgement calls or anything. just saying, there's an overwhelming number of people who start internet arguments and just go about making the human race in general look bad. no need for people with taste to add to the mix, if you get my meaning

  • @aggromann666 I might be "old", but I might also be your daddy, so show some respect. Your mom gives great head by the way.

  • @Hondo8080 please, don't forget about The White Stripes...we'd have a hard time forgiving you if you did

  • @theftandlove yeah, White Stripes jam as well. Wolfmother has something similar to Zep/Queen (early stuff)/Rush, something almost mythic in the feel of it. Hopefully Stockdale will be around for a long time.

  • @Hondo8080 : )

  • @Hondo8080 Hondo speaks a lot i've noticed ( no disrespect) , but hey a LOT of what he says is very very true and deserves a listen ;-)

p.s. the dude ain't old, he's just Experienced, you too will get there some day. . .

  • @Hondo8080 I am 52 and you are right my friend:)

  • @Hondo8080

No I wouldn't say there is still hope for music....music today is flat out garbage fucking garbage no musical talent....there are few exeptions such as Wolfmother,Shinedown,Amy Lee, Jumpsuit Apparatus,Avenge Sevenfold and a few others.....

  • @690169 ....there are few exeptions such as Wolfmother,Shinedown,Amy Lee, Jumpsuit Apparatus,Avenge Sevenfold and a few others..... thers still hope, people need to be inspired more by these bands..

  • @Hondo8080 9999 thumbs up for you ; )

  • Clutch.

  • @Hondo8080 That's what I said and I'm only 21! lol. Most bands today can't even hold a note live. Example Cage the Elephant..LOVE their music from lyrics to their sound BUT live they are not very good at all. Wolfmother sounds better live than on CD they are so damn talented!!

  • @Hondo8080

80's was the worst time for music, when guitars has been taken by keyboards. I hate 80's......

  • THE BEST ALBUM EVER!!!!

  • Love them. Whatta sheep singer! lol i love wolfmotherrrrrr-ahahahahahah":L

  • Comment removed

  • ok dont diss on them... i cover this song with buddies... its hard to sing and play at all... and that high d chord always sounds like shit haha

  • ya and plus this isnt a concert setting, its a TV set they cant just start flying around the stage they have to make it sound good and formal

  • @ Trace: damn you're right, I bet he didn't have the right monitoring, at least in the beginning...

  • what the hell man

  • I LOVE this riff! Every hard rock band should kick themselves for not thinking of it (in a loving way)

  • Is it just me or does the guitar sounds like shit? Good show otherwise

  • they're a new version of led zeppelin :X

  • @roackeritza holy shit yes. exactly alike. =]

  • @roackeritza

They have a great sound.....i would say it reminds me more of the who musically but honestly they are a great breathe of fresh air to music which is a nice change
