  • "Oooh deep inside me, and it hurts so bad." Its funny how that didn't mean anything bad back then, but now it means so much worse.

  • @AirCanada04 No it doesnt only if you say it does homo.

  • literally my favourite song

  • we are doing this in our school musicul but by the supremes and its stuck in my head

  • where did you get the pink and blue lights background image from? it's so pretty

  • You came into my life so tenderly!

  • justin beiber is a joke..

  • sounds similar to "Tainted Love" no ?

  • @therealplease They were back to back on the album, the song is like 8 minutes.

  • @therealplease Tainted love is a completely different song. You're thinking about the mix version of Tainted love with this song

  • @therealplease if you listen to the full and original song you will hear that there is no stop between "Tainted love" and "Where did our love go"

  • Suddenly, I'm 19 and it's 2:00 in the morning in a smoky room in NY. Awesome.

  • Ohhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaa

  • Ashes to ashes!!

  • lmfao at these comments.

  • such a turn on of a song ;)

  • fml

  • makes me horny l0l

  • our love went down the hill after you slept with that ugly and dumb construction worker.

  • @polarconnections Musta did somethin' rght

  • @polarconnections cant trust no one pal

  • 0:13, did you forget it wasnt tainted love?

  • but as good as this is the original tops it!

  • This song could be played on pop stations today and if people didn't know it was from the 80's it could be passed off as a hit today

  • @TheMichaeldale Haha, I know right!

  • @TheMichaeldale it'd be the only good song too

  • @TheMichaeldale it's not from the 80's.

    it's by the supremes.

  • @TheMichaeldale Haha, eat your words! The Supremes are the original singers. The song was first recorded in 1964. Obviously, you and 13 other people were fooled by the same ploy pulled in the 80s.

  • @summarbummar19 The Supremes' original version can't pass as a hit today though. Soft Cell sounds much more current, and that's probably what he meant. He never said the original version of the song was composed at the 80s.

  • @TheMichaeldale it sure reiminds me of the summer of ´80

  • listen to adam ants version live!

  • @MrGlennHewitt YES!! Adam's is sooo much better!

  • This takes me back to the early 90's. great parties back them.

  • Reminds me of the radio on a sunday evening in the early 80's. Mum cooking a piglet in that traditional way. She even use to leave the eyes in so it would so us through the rest of the week!!

  • This version makes me sick.

  • @JammerZice You make me sick this is an amazing song.

  • I heard this on the radio and I was like "Crash Bandicoot??"

  • @NoLifeGamer17 hahaha. me too. just sayin'

  • have seen Marc in Leeds , he is incredible LIVE.! being Polish it may seem hard to comprehend his mighty voice thinking he's gay? not at all! I have always been keen to his appearance and interviews, to his thoughts and point of view.

Marc Almond occurs to me as a talent that transcends limits of so many who are limited by law and public opinion. Shame!

  • i remember this ............lmao.

  • I remember when my mom bought me a walkman and I rented an 80's CD from the library and this was on it. I always thought it was part of Tainted Love and kept trying to find it. Now, here it is!

  • @NatalieTR12 Natalie, they were often played together, especially late at night. In fact, the first CD I bought was a "single" with those two tracks on it. (Wish I still had it :)

    Cheers, Keiko

  • Best damn video ive seen :D!

  • wow i heard this for the 1st time ...yesterday...im 26

  • Awesome song to help me get out of bed.

  • @VivrantSoul really? i find it brings me down a bit

  • The supremes rock it better(:

  • this is a damn good cover to a damn good song

  • So bittersweet. Something about it makes me ache.

  • this is a great version of the song! i love it!

  • I remember hearing this at the end of tainted love going now this is great and wishing it was its own song. Little did I know....

  • this song always makes me feel good :)

  • I Love this song.

    Spettacolare!

  • one of the best songs ever

  • This version is very good not as good as the Supremes but very close.

  • @r3i6nm8n If Berry Gordy would've produced Soft Cell it would've been as good as The Supremes' version. Maybe not better than The Supremes' but as good.

  • bvakhh.. i can't stop my body moving, my hands, my head, my feet!

  • i can stop moving my body.....my handsss

  • I want to dance!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • now listen to the original sung back in 64 by the Supremes!!!!

  • @tim60s321 I heard the Supremes first then this version. I think Soft Cell did a good job with this song, unlike their remake of Tainted Love...ugh! I hate EVERY version of Tainted Love!!! Gloria Jones. Soft Cell. Rhianna. The Pussycat Dolls version made me throw up!!!

  • @jrquist404 When I heard the Supremes version for the first time in 64 I went "WOW thats fantastic"--but much as I like Tainted Love by Soft Cell their version of Where did ourlove go just makes me think "whatever" The Supremes version has real snap and they sound like they are really keen to make their mark but SC sound like they are trying too hard to be laid back and cool which to me comes across as lacklustre and boring-long ago I agreed with my kids to disagree on music- its personal taste!

  • @tim60s321 Thoughtful review, but I don't agree at all. As you say: personal taste!

  • @Z200a It is about personal taste but also we need a level playing field so you need to hear the original Supremes single-a good one is at Ramkin5674-this first came out in 64 i think and was a sensational new sound -one of the first of the Tamla Motown long run of hits- and should be judged in that context. I dont suppose it is possible these days to create a "new" sound because we have seen almost every possible variation and permutation but then it was much more open.

  • great... like it!

  • fucking quality!

  • @abiisykes

Both versions are great! This modern version is just more danceable.

  • ive heard this song on the radio and tried to find it and here it is

  • is this song sampled in a recently song?

Can anyone tell me the name if the answer is yes?

  • @Jimmyholydays

If you want to call it sampling then yes it was sampled from their hit song "Tainted Love." It has almost the same melody.

  • is this song sampled in a recently song?

Can anyone tell me the name if the answer is yes?

  • @Jimmyholydays

nvm. I'm trippin it was sampled from the supremes! A song I know. Wow. I had no clue it was sampled either. Both songs are great.

  • Have always loved this version.

  • Our love went right back at ya Mr. Almond !

  • @abiisykes your critique is as accurate as your spelling... Mary, Diane & Flo OWN this song. The haunting harmony of 'baby, baby' sung by Flo & Mary elevated their version to the ether. Diane, singing in a key lower than usual, created a sexy, irresistible combo with Mary & Flo. I love Soft Cell's version and think it's the best cover but there's NOTHING like Motown's Supremes for harmony and atmosphere.

  • @SMWhitePapers

Hey what's the title name of The Supremes version? Is it titled "Pretty Baby?" I would like to give it a listen. Thanks.

  • for all us emos out hear---- who elses theme song is tainted ove and this? thumbs up if you are emo and like this song.

  • @NeonPoptartXD shuuuut the hell up!

  • I like this version better, it sounds wicked .

  • It continues on the same track but its a different song. I like the supremes version though. this version sounds so cheesy.

  • huh? isnt this in tainted love? or is this a complete different song? if yes then what with the radio version? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I prefer The Supremes..but I DO like Soft Cell.

  • I hate to say it I still love the supremes version for the vocals but this music is far better than the original

  • 8 months later, and I still share the same point of view. Yikes! : - ) Love the colors.

  • @Neutralification Haha same, I started listening to this song about 1 - 2 years ago (this same video) every often when im feelin down I come back to hear this song :)

  • Had never heard this until I watched Life on Mars. Not a Soft Cell fan really, but this is just fantastic. Love it.

  • LOVE, LOVE it.

maybe even a little more than the supremes.

  • the best 12 inch of the 80's bar none!

  • La mejor versión de este tema a salvo de las incomparables Diana Ross & The Supremes. ¡¡Buff, como me pone este tema!!

  • awesome!

  • Amazing song! :) <3 x

  • Wow,Wow,Wow what a cool tune, what about where did our music go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrPaul2305 Damn straight! :D <3

  • @MrPaul2305 apparently, it's gone....

  • God I love just sitting at home after school and listening to my mom's tainted love/where did our love go vinyl's on the record player I got for christmas I wish I was born during this era

  • @JAMneg3 same, i was born in the wrong era also lol :)

  • @LostForces

I needed to be born in the 40's...

  • @RedEliteFilms I hear you man

  • HAHAHHAHHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH, never saw this coming

  • It's awesome but I like it better combined with Tainted Love like in the radio version, you know?

  • Hammergeil dieser Mann und diese Stimme......*wachsweichwerd*

  • hell yeah.. good goddam cover if you ask me

  • the members of soft cell are originally from Pakistan

  • Marc is Genius.

  • I think you mean God

  • @Neutralification, What are you talking about this isn't murdering a classic, this is a classic and it's a great song.

  • @Neutralification You are aware that this is bulk of the "tainted love" record yes?

as released it was 1 long track starting with tainted love and shifting into this song about 1/3 of the way in..

the "tainted love" you hear without this in it.. is in fact the hackey/murdered part ..

  • @jabbathewocket, You got your opinion, and I got mine. So let's leave at that, and no matter what anyone says I'm sticking to what I stated for the 3rd time already. Thumbs up or thumbs down. I don't need anyone's approval. Leave it alone already. I'm so over this song, and I will continue to listen to what I like. So I suggest you do the same. It isn't the end of the world if one person or maybe more doesn't like a song that every one else might enjoy. You can't win them all, sorry. Thank you!

  • thing is.. your not expressing an opinion, your trying to say that "they ruined" a song.. when in actual point of fact the thing that you consider the song.. was first..

"i dont like the middle portion of tainted love/where did our love go" would be an opinion..

"they butchered the song" is implying that somehow this is a different version of the song that came after the original.. which it in fact DID NOT

  • @jabbathewocket, I'm aware of what an opinion is, sweet heart. Just because I believe they ruined the Supreme's song which is actually an understatement, doesn't make it fact, right. But yet once again it's my own personal opinion (belief). The FACT is that you obviously not going to change my mind in this matter which really isn't that serious. I still will dislike this song regardless of what you say. Guess what, at the end of the day, I will still feel same, so go cry yourself to sleep. Thx.

  • @Neutralification Wish they could un-spam your comments. I think it's foolish that they would hide your side of this because, you were the mature one here. This song is not that great and it's NOTHING compared to the original that appearently the other person was unaware of. Foolish foolish people.

  • This used to be my favorite song on the skating rink on a group date; wow ! I'm having flashback lol!!!!

  • soft cell didn't have a good time after they were in debt to the pakistani mob

  • did you know that the pakistani mafia secretly financed this song

  • could care less about his sexual orientation he's got incredible talent.

  • @142060 i never knew he was gay :O

  • @142060 your bothered by it if you need to tell people that your not
