Oh, gender generalizations. How fantastic. :| People really need to stop assigning gender to music genres/tastes/etc. Gender does not establish what music preference you have. It's kind of insulting to hear that I like/don't like certain songs because I'm a /girl/. Music with tablo/epik high's sort of artistry completely transcends that kind of marketing boundary.

Really, really nice to hear Tukutz working with tablo again. Can't wait until the whole crew is together again!

AGREED. Epik High just isn't Epik High if they're not Indie... they used to represent that dream that anyone can make it big in the music industry - especially in the korean industry, where it's really, nearly impossible to get ANYWHERE if your label isn't big - and that just isn't the same if they're under YG, which is huge (not that I have anything against YG - in fact I love 2NE1 and BB - I just don't want to see Epik High under them.)

the best part about his songs IMO, is his upbeat songs like this. Fly, elements, One are very good songs which are upbeat. The songs that have beats to it. I've listened to all their albums. I think pretty much all of their songs are upbeat. but my point is that I believe that his old school raps songs are much better. You probably may differ in opinion since you're a girl and you like the pop or mellow songs... i'm not sure.

@Javagui21 u couldnt be more wrong. as a girl, i actually hate pop shit. snsd,2ne1 crap. all of it. if u think that all girls like that then u know very little about them. as an epik high fan i dont notice whether or not its upbeat/mellow, all i know is that it sounds amazing. but not all his music is upbeat. btw tablo wrote the song &made the beat for bad. the only song that he worked w/yg was tomorrow &that song was crap b/c yg fucked it up. that was the song that he wrote to "appease" yg fans

@bballgirlj955 In terms of "all girls" liking the ridiculous and mindless kpop, I think that there's just so many victims that we've sort of generalized "all girls love upbeat kpop". It leaves me ineffably speechless that there are still some girls, albeit few like you, that recognize Epik High's eloquent lyricism and what they stand for - no genre, just music. I was disappointed that Tablo signed with YG at first; but I realized Tablo is no-genre: pop or refulgent rhymes, his musicality = love

@celestialvaliant I think what you mean are YG stans, who are most likely female and born in the 90's. This sophistication might not reach a majority of them, but the minority isn't small. Have you seen SoNyuhShiDae fanboys? Even SHINee fanboys? Just because I personally think that the members of Epik High are complete geniuses in composing, doesn't mean everyone should be compelled to like them too. I agree with some of what you're saying in the end though :)

@Javagui21 ?? 10년 뒤에 and 그녀가 불쌍해 of their first album and even I Remember have a slow beat and are very mellow and soothing. 피해망상 Pt.3 with TBNY in their second album is one of my favorite songs of Epik High, and that's not upbeat at all. 11월1일 in High Society has to have the saddest beat and chorus outside of haengbok hapnida in their fourth album. Those are some of "his old school raps", and they are very good songs that are not as upbeat as One.

@Javagui21 Part of Epik High's style since they first started out has been to be mellow and soothing, and that's part of why I like them. They're not always hard on you; they love poetry.
