these ara nice highlghts, but the music sucks. im sick of that lameass spoiled brat, fred durst winey wannabe tough-guy music. leave it to a buckeye fan
i hope Carlos Hyde starts next year for the time Herron is out. i live where hyde played high school and he cannot be brought down, and every time ohio state put him in this year he gained at least 5 yards on every carry i saw. hes 6' 240 and runs a 4.5
@TheXxkakarotxx i agree he's a good talent but were loaded at the position.................. hopefully all 3 hyde, berry and hall are running well while herron and pryor are gone. because we goin to need to pound the ball in order to survive those 5 games!!!
that td pas that pryor caught should be ran with bauserman or kenny guiton throwing the ball, so if pryor is covered, they can make all the necessary progressions that a QB would.
Berry is going to be real solid. Our running backs are going to be stacked for AT LEAST the next 3-4 years. Good recruits coming in 2012. I used to rag on Herron a bit, but I really do love his toughness. Hall may be a victim of the uptick in recruiting. He's looks to be a good back, but he may only get a few carries there next year, while mainly being a returner.
73 points? I didn't realize that Chip Kelly coached this game for Tressel. He must of lost a bet in that Rose Bowl loss. Anyways, Hall and Berry made Saine and Herron look like Highschool freshmen playing in this game. Guiton looked good, Sanz is just another Jordan Shipley. Posey needs to get open more than he has even though he gets double coverage alot. Defense sleptwalked through the first 3 QTR's. Overall, the offense is very, very explosive. Defense dominates when they feel like it.
Does Anyone Else Think That Jordan Hall Is A Beast?? Their Third-String QB (The One With The 15 Yard TD Run) Also Looks Fast, But I Haven't Seen Much Of His Throwing Abilities.
@xxnikeshox10suxx I think Jordan Hall is Ohio State's most explosive back. It's a toss-up between him and Jaamal Berry. They hit the holes before the other RB's would have found them. Having said that, I think Jaamal Berry is the most complete RB on the roster. And as far as Kenny Guiton (the 3rd string QB) goes, watch the 2010 spring game. He was a beast in that game! GO BUCKS!!!
Berry looks like the future, if Tressel will open his eyes to it. he's a powerful enough cat, but his quicks and speed blended with strength are what OSU has lacked at RB. let's hope the weight program doesn't overbulk him. getting bigger is the last thing he or Jordan Halll need.
@sdmoats7 ....yup -- and it's more about "burst" and lateral quicks - the kind that can spring backs to the second level where serious damage can be wrought on a defense -- than anything else. ALL 4 of these guys have the ability to finish IF they get loose. even with the nagging injuries that have slowed him, Saine is still incredibly fast as a straight line runner. he's a dangerous receiver as well, but he's never been quick, explosive, or decisive hitting holes.
naaaah. Tressel shows loyalty -- often to a fault -- to upperclassmen as long as he can. and it can be frustrating at times, particularly in a case like this when it's clear that Berry and Hall are both more talented runners whose abilities demand increased touches ASAP. OSU should have electrifying backs year in year out, and neither Saine nor Herron is that type of player. honestly, they wouldn't start even for a number of other Big Ten teams, and that should never be the case at OSU.
@clleftguard dont get ahead of yourself. im a buckeye fan so dont get me wrong but alabama would smash us just like florida did a few years ago. i kinda hope we lose a game to wisconsin or something and dont have to play alabama. would rather beat up florida in a bowl game =D
4:23-4:33-------why isnt Jamaal Berry starting? Hes got almost as many yards as Herron, Saine, Hall in HALF as many carries. I know Tressel both loves Herron and still hesitates to start freshman for no apparent reasons but Berry (south Florida product) definitely has more NFL potential than ANY of those other 3. Theres a reason most of the SEC schools wanted him.
@hvillio22 I have said that from before the season...I think that kid back there with Pryor and Saine would be scare...Put Boom in on short goal lines cause he has the nose for the end zone.
@hvillio22 First, sorry; that last response was supposed to go to you, not Toontown. Now, with regard to Berry, his yardage isn't as meaningful because it has come at the end of blowouts, but I do think he may be the best RB on the team. That kid is dynamic on kick returns! The only question is whether he has the patience at the line to set up blocks and if he is strong enough to run for the tough yards inside; there is no doubt about his elusiveness and his afterburners.
Remember Berry competed against some of the best high school competition in the country (public schools in the Miami area) and was pretty dominant. That should count for something. Just watch his high school tape----he tries to run through contact exactly like Boom and is strong inside for a guy whos only 185-190 lbs. Saine is probably stronger but Saine is also like 30 pounds heavier.
I think Tressel is concerned about Berry cuz he has had an ankle problems the last couple years that caused him to miss a lot of his senior year in high school & hurt it again during his redshirt year.
@hvillio22- I've read on other sites that Berry has a habit of putting the ball on the deck during practice. You and I both know Tressel would roast and eat Scarlett and Gracie (his dogs) before he starts a fumbler.
Everyone says the world is gonna end for the Buckeyes if (god forbid) Pryor ever gets hurt and misses games. But I think Guiton is more polished passer than Pryor and while hes not as fast as Pryor, you can def. see he can run. Guiton I think is a taller Troy Smith.
@UglyToontown, Guiton is nowhere near as polished a passer as is Pryor. Being a true passer has to do with more than mechanics; he also has to be able to read the defenses, go through progressions, get rid of the ball on time to lead receivers, etc. If Pryor got hurt, OSU would have a hard time because Bauserman (who is #2, not Guiton) can't escape the pass rush, and our line would have breakdowns that would stall drives; it doesn't happen as much now because teams fear Pryor's scrambling.
To be fair, Pryor has had A LOT of work done on his passing skills the last couple years. Guiton is def. a better natural passer than Pryor. Guiton was def. a better passer than Pryor in high school and is a better passer than Pryor was at the same point as a Freshman. Guiton isnt the same dynamic athlete that made Pryor a top recruit but hes not a slouch there either.

It's a great year when OSU will beat two Michigan teams in one season. And don't have any false hopes UM fans, you have no chance on November 27th.
