I would have placed this song in the top ten of most previous ESC finals, and in the top 5 of some. It's low finish of 8/14 was probably due to the fact that most young people do not care for the older styles of popular music. Lys Assia might be the best female singer ever for her age.

This is now in the national final on 10th Dec and, as far as I can wok out, got there through an internet selection (i.e. without th help of juries). I understand people's reservations, but heck, we're only talking about one song out of 42 or so if it gets to Baku. Surely there must be room for at least one song like this. And her performance in the final would just be an EPIC Eurovision moment. It would be a crying shame not to send her . . .

switzerland would send her purely as a novelty, it seems crual to say, but there is no place in modern day eurovision for this, it is nice and i personally like it, but i think it will serve switzerland poorly, the juries would eat it up and most like she would qualify from the semis, then in the final it would be just like last year, the juries all backed italy, theyd back switzerland, but in the public vote, i wouldnt be suprised if she finished bottom 5, evening out to a position 10 - 15th
