  • Thumbs up if 1980s is your favorite decade behind 1970

  • thumbs down if you hate the 1970s. I do not hate happy Days

  • 24 people cant sit on it

  • Henry Winkler was so HOT and now he's trying to sell Sleep Number Beds to his and my generation!!!! When the frick did we get so old?!? I remember never missing an episode. Those really were my "HAPPY DAYS".

  • @LauraHarrison hey he looks better then he did in 2001

  • Hi, I'm Donnie Most and I didn't approve this message.

  • @NormanRB HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY im the FONZ and i approve this message rest in peace mr.c

  • Man!Are The Good Times Really Over?

  • Isn't it ironic that the actor playing the ever cool Fonzie has such a nerdy sounding name like Henry Winkler?

  • To anyone knocking "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley"...you are obviously too young to remember these shows and how our families used to sit together and watch these shows...while you kids are going out, shooting each other, getting each other pregnant, cursing out your parents, and all but going to jail in come cases...hope YOU are having "happy days"...

  • @wdharvey1 my son is 12 and loves this show so there just idiots

  • @MZCZ129 I'm 45 and remember this show, sitting in my grandmothers living room, enjoying the hell out of it! LOVED it (liked Lavern and Shirley better, though...)..but they were so much fun!

  • i miss the Happy Days :(

  • Ayyyy!

  • I like The Cable/Deadpool version. SUNDAY, MONDAY CABLE PRAYS TUESDAY, WENSDAY DEADPOOL SLAYS THURSDAY, FRIDAY THE WORLD'S AT BAY THE WEEKEND COMES WITH SPANDEX BUMS READY TO FIGHT WITH YOU THESES DAYS ARE ALL, HAPPY AND FREE (THOSE HAPPY DAYS) THESE DAYS ARE ALL, BLEED OUT WITH ME(OH BABY) GOODBYE DARK DAYS, HELLO BLUE CAN'T STOP CABLE WHEN HE'S SAVING YOU FEELS SO RIGHT, IT CAN'T BE WRONG BUT WILL DEADPOOL STOP HIM BEFORE TO LONG (last part is same as top except 3rd line say Xmen and shield)
  • i like the old theme song better

  • i take back my original opinion of this song, i like it

  • No Ralph, no Richie, practically no Potsie = failure. But I do like that Joanie and Chachi are in it a lot more. Joanie doesn't have to go upstairs all the time and Chachi can say more than wa wa wa. :)

  • @TheSouthernSunshine1 And Joanie was so ahead of her time, wearing those '80's clothes and hair in the '60s....

  • 298 people can go jump the shark!

  • No Ritchie Cunningham??=EPIC FAIL!!

  • I used to jack off to Fonzie in his cool leather jacket, he was a God!

  • @yeezhah ROFL!!! That sent me packing on the floor lolz

  • @yeezhah Fonzie could have turned Chuck Norris gay...to bad Chuck wasnt cool enough for him

  • What happen to ralph he wasn't in the credits ?

  • To the 21 people who hate Happy Days...GO FUCK YOURSELVES i mean come on you haven't even givin this show a chance i mean seriously i bet your mad cause you can't have a happy day like the show did. They all became a family after that so why don't you all piss off and lay off the show that had an incredible 11 year run OK .

  • @bigkcoltsfan LOL. By the time Happy Days had come THIS far, it was no longer worth watching. The show stunk at this time.

  • @cochranexyz

yea i know it sucked because ron howard didn't return for like 4 years..same goes with ralph andmuch of the show was all about joanie and chachi (which i didn't mind at all tho lol) new faces started coming in for awhile and as soon as joanie and chachi got back together again (for like the 20th time lol) they were broken up for some time then as soon as they got back together, he asked her to marry him..i tell ya it was like romio and juliet except for the part of dying that is

  • hi i am a big fancall me love you 2153070455

  • I was always amazed that for a show that was supposed to be a period show (set in the 50s/60s) how little effort the producers took to make it look the period. Joanie wearing an 80s dress with the high shoulders and frizzy permed hair. Chachie and the men with long blow dried feathered hair. I even saw a digital watch once on Mr. C. What a piece of garbage this show became in its later seasons.

  • RIP Tom Bosley,Mr C

  • if i were anson williams, i would've raised shit about being demoted under scott baio and erin moran

  • @richardmcboingboing

Potsie sort of drifted after Richie and Ralph left and was rarely used by about 1982 so fell from relevance a bit. He was lucky to be even billed 5th!

  • i didn't like the last season because only 3(?) of the original cast was there. also cuning ham was abusing alchol and etc.

  • 21 people can sit on it!

  • idc what ppl say- the old days were the best days.

  • wonder what happened to ron howard

  • @masterelites10 he's a director now

  • Does anybody know where i can download tiz version of the song

  • this show brings back a time win the world felt young and free. have times changed.

  • Ted McGinley, hey he was in Married with Children.

  • when long haired, Chachi showed up, i couldnt watch Happy Days any more

  • wheres richie?

  • Whats the name of this singer, I know that he recording some songs on The Lords Of Flatbush soundtrack

  • Ah yeah, *that* Ted McGinley...

  • You see...the first season had NOTHING...FONZIE EVENTUALLY BECAME THE STAR!!!!!!!

  • @LilKempy You're point being?

  • damn fonz is old

  • Where's Ralph Malph and Richie?

Oh, and look it's Jefferson Darcy!! :)

  • @AgApE010 They went off and joined the army. God Bless America!

  • I was in HS when this shit was on! It sucked root! And the main character the Fonz, was supposed to be a bad ass, yet he hung out in a malt shop,in the mens room ,intimidating HS kids.

  • @le238man lololol kinda homocentric really...lol

  • This is what happens when what was once a great sitcom drags on for too long. :(

  • @MarauderOSU I AGREE....PLUS THE CLOTHES and HAIR was too 80's!!!

  • @MarauderOSU

I can see what you mean there. A lot of sitcomes over stay their welcome. One good example that come to mind is "Third Rock From the Sun".

  • why'd they rerecord the theme?

  • Sit on it!!!

  • Erin Moran in these latter years kinda looks like Pat Penatar..btw the singer the producers use in it's final seasons suck.

  • WTF

  • I like better the earlier seasons, it has more a 50's feeling than the later seasons unless it was meant to change from 50's to ???.

  • @popactor

By the end of the series, eleven years had gone by and the show had already moved to the mid-sixties.

  • Don't like the new singer. Love the older singer singing this song.

  • 0:18 Fonzie looks the same 10 years later!

  • @LAtvFan not really

  • @LAtvFan

That is a very interesting point! Some people just age well!

  • Comment removed

  • Erin Moran's hair always looked like pubes

  • Hardly watched this show, while everyone was home tuned in, my friends and I were living this. Cruising, working on hot rods, hanging out at the drive ins, burger joints, chasing the girls. I wish Happy Days was more rougher like American Graffiti and a less Andy Griffith.

  • @dynodonn yeah well it was set in Wisconsin, really ain't that tough like Brooklyn,Queens,Bronx or Hell's Kitchen etc. Long Live N.Y.C.

  • Comment removed

  • What happened to Ron Howard? He is not in there anymore.. He got pregnant or something?

  • Only ONE guy in the main cast??!!

  • They should of kept the character Spike instead of Chachi. I thought Fonzie should have taken a ratchet to that kids head!

  • @Sukitjerky

What exactly do you not like about Chachi?

  • When Ted McGinley gets a part on your sitcom, or if they decide to jump a shark, it's time to look for work!

  • @Sukitjerky

What exactly do you have against Ted McGinley? I think he is an okay actor who did a decent job of playing the Roger character.

  • @Smartboy8877 Nothing, I think he did a great job on Married With Children. I just was saying he always gets the roles at the end of the show's run.

  • @Sukitjerky

    Very interesting observatrion!

  • @Smartboy8877,A show like Happy Days is supposed to relate to the average guy from the 50s or early 60s and he acts more like a gay porn star from a cheesy soap opera. He looked totally out of place in Happy Days.

  • As much as I hate the 1980's episodes, and the sterlized sounding "Happy Days" Theme, this last season re-working was truly the worst! By the way, I'll never understand why they changed the theme song from "Rock around the Clock!"!?

  • @mallyrose87 this theme song sucks

  • @mallyrose87 Royalties. They didn't want to pay them.

  • This proves "saving the best for last", is true. The best opening of the whole run.

  • hate that theme song

  • @David9788

What do you hate about it? Do you like previous incarnations of the song better?

  • @Smartboy8877 the voice is terrible and i like the other theme songs at season 1 through season 10

  • @David9788

    Thank you for the reply.

  • It's the early 60s and Scott Baio has a mullet.

    Your argument is invalid.

  • Fuck the haters. This is easily the best opening of Happy Days ever. Filled with love, and fun, and nostalgia. '84 Happy Days rules.

  • @moonjumpr , this season's opening is my favorite out of the entire series. I love the past and present pictures they show at the start of the intro as well as the cool update song.

  • RIP Mr. C. you will be missed.

  • RIP Tom Bosley

    1927-2010

  • @RSGCMA2 Tom Bosley was the coolest guy that ever lived. RIP

  • @RSGCMA2 at least he lived a good and full life.

  • @charkee167 True, he had right around 83 years. Can't complain about that.

  • RIP TOM BOSLEY

  • @MOTHERAT28 RIP TOM

  • LOL, Fonzie was 57 by time the series ended.

  • @Raford146: he wasnt 57, he was 39....

  • @KMcEneny

May as well have been 57.

    Here's to ya Mr. C.

  • i heard happy days comes on the hub

  • This intro doesn't make sense where's the fonz action...

The fonz action was very cool.

  • Does anyone know why Ralph (Donnie Most) left the show? He did NOTHING after Happy Days!!!

  • @Oceanpacifica1968 2 direct like ron howard

  • AWFULL, THE MIDD SEASON WAS BETTER

  • Ugh...it's just so void and awful...the theme tune sounds strained and the new intro sequence seems desperate to retain the 70s produced charm and appeal. When a few characters go so do the better storylines. And the cast chemistry...

  • @ultraseb , this theme song of the show is my favorite along with the clips of past to present of the show.

  • @ultraseb I'd agree with all you said if we were talking about the 10th season, which thankfully doesn't appear much on here (when even Baio and Moran were gone and replaced with dopplegangers). But in this final season, even Ron Howard made three appearances, and some of the classic moments we remember in retrospectives (Richie punching Fonzie, Richie/Fonzie goodbye at the front door, the backyard wedding, Fonzie's emotional move from the apartment above), all of it was from this final season.

  • @moonjumpr Was that Henry Winkler singing? Sounds like him.

  • What a terrible version.

  • @Mrster , what a great version

  • @Astraldragon1

    Terrible.

  • I thought ron howard was in this?? wered he go?

  • Jefferson Darcy! LOL!

  • Ted McGinley was in a lot of TV shows that got cancelled after he joined.

  • @cstring420 i noticed that too.. he was on happy days, the love boat and married with children........all got cancelled while he was on. The shows were going great before he ever joined them

  • @cstring420 McGinley was in 164 episodes of Married w/ Children out of 262 total and 8 out of the 10 years. He was much more a part of the show than David Garrison (Steve Rhoades) was.

  • This was 1983-1984...no one was living in that 70s bubble anymore, which was the show's death as well as its main mistake to stay the same after so many years. From 1980-1982....okay...somewhat believable in that late 70s-early 80s fashion...but to continue onward to 1983-1984...it did sadly dated itself. Not to mention the timeslot change and the A-Team was by far the bigger seller that year alone. Not to mention Madonna, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, MTV were the most watched by then.

  • wow ted mcginley from married w/ children never would of thought of seeing him in happy days!

  • That was Henry Winkler (Fonzie) singing the song!!

  • I thought Happy Days was supposed to be in the 50's?? They cast, except Fonz, look like 70's disco rejects. This show really went down the toilet, when Richie and Ralph Malph left the show. Talk about pathetic.

  • @boofdfast Nahh, Richie was never a major character on the show.

  • @Oceanpacifica1968 What does that have to do with, if the show was better or not?? The show was more like the REAL Happy Days, when him and Ralph Malph were on the show.

  • @boofdfast Richie was never essential to the show.

  • @Oceanpacifica1968 Okay, so you hate Richie, we get it.

  • Still love the Fonze after all these years sit on it.

  • Didn't watch the last few seasons, and now I remember why. That intro is LAME

  • potsie was in the last season of happy days?

    What was he?

    A vietnam flunkee!

  • Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! :-D

  • where the hell is richie

  • @Reaper16a he went chicago or something he soon returned in the last episode

  • Comment removed

  • it was all downhill when Ron Howard left.

  • I know this is a 70's show taking place in the 50's, but when I hear this song, I can't help but think about the 90's. I guess those were my Happy Days.

  • HAPPY DAYS OR DAYS HAPPY THE REUNION GOD BLESS THE 70 SEVENTIES

  • tthe fonz is so cool

  • 90% of the time it was all about Fonzie.

  • It was The Fonz show

  • Love the revamped theme & Joanie/Chachi clips (Baio now suddenly towering over Fonzie). Final season featured a return out of nowhere to great writing ala the '75-'76 season, and poignant story lines. Stop hating on my '84 Happy Days. ; ) Treasured memories for me. This season ranks with the first three in terms of quality of scripts and acting.

  • @moonjumpr Amen to that!

  • Using 1980s-style female backing vocals was not exactly the best idea ever.

  • Sure sign to kill a show add Ted McGinley. He has killed Happy Days, Married With Children. And the Major League movie series (he was the manager of the Minnesota Twins in the 3rd installment)

  • Haha Jefferson from Married with children

  • ya no pasan happy days en nick at nite nooo era mi programa favorito y tengo 14 años

  • You're an idiot

  • I love the 70's. It was more better than any shit in my careless penis. I LOVES IT! But now i watch anime.

  • Erin Moran went on Howard Stern back in 1992 to tell of her experiences with the cast members on the show.

  • if i remember.i believe erin didnt get along with the cast

  • Ron Howard¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?

  • May the '80s episodes of Happy Days burn in hell. The '70s episodes were infinitely better.

  • @VaderNES whats so bad with them? (and yes im serious XD i have barely seen season 1)

  • @kallemick They were generally just poorly made.

Plus, the '80s episodes are missing characters, like Richie Cunningham and Ralph Malph.

  • @VaderNES ohhh that sucks i remember a episode from the first season i watched a few days ago it was about a wedding and richie was barely in it it starred hes parents it was so boring the diner weren there potsie and ralph werent there fonzie were there in a few seconds

  • @VaderNES , Long live The 70's and 80's episodes the entire Happy Days series...sorry Hell froze over. lol

  • @VaderNES The reason: No Ron Howard as Richie Cunningham.

  • @VaderNES Even the theme song sucked

  • @VaderNES You suck

Happy Days is cool I think you like Hannah Montana

    which is awful

  • @mikemelvyn4003 I hate Hannah Montana.

Plus, I like Happy Days, just not episodes made in the '80s.

  • @VaderNES Happy Days was WAY better in the last season. Anyone notice Fonzie was singing the theme song there??

  • @VaderNES RIGHT, ALL THOUGH FOZIE HELPED THE SHOW...IT WASN'T RIGHT WITHOUT RON HOWARD...BUT I'M GLAD HE APPEARED IN THE FINAL EPISODE !!!!

  • @VaderNES No!!! : ) Agreed overall, but the eps from that final season of 1983-1984 topped most everything from the very late '70s eps when it became a bit of a lazy debacle when even the late '70s styles were taking over (in what was supposed to be 1961). This was around the time Ron Howard almost famously drove off the road on his way to filming in the 7th season. Instead, he decided to be a film director. PS: Night Shift (with Henry) is still one of the greatest movies ever (from '82). :)

  • @VaderNES some of the 80's episodes were great luv this version of the song & the screencaps anyone know where i can find em online

  • @VaderNES you got that right

  • @tylerkissfan Both of you said it right!- The 1980's eps. are awful beyond words.

  • @VaderNES Was that Fonzie singing the theme song??

  • i like the old 1 better, fonzarella rules! :D

  • Ted McGinley! I like him.

  • Love it all!

  • where's Richie ?!

  • @HelheimSlave - He and Ralph had left the show 3 years earlier (though they did take part in the Sat morning animated spinoff, The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang).

  • @HelheimSlave He left the show in 1980 (at the end of the 7th season).

  • I fancy Erin Moran. She has a lovely smile @ 45 sec

  • Nick at nite!

  • @elnoalineado ya this show should be on nick at nite
