unless you can tell me that you know exactly at what point "life" begins (and your answere isn't conception), you have no buisness legislating abortion. If you pro-life be pro-life, it your pro-choice be pro-choice, just don't ask that your perogetive be legislated
@globin3 Basic right?Maybe. To-do list? No. See. America has a lot of basic rights. And for each of them, someone, somewhere, is abusing it. Just think of free speech and the westboro baptist church. They constantly thank god for 9....11. Bad,yes? Should they be stopped? Yes. But can we?No. Why?"Free speech" . Now, think of the constant flow of women just going in and out of the abortion clinics for light and carefree reasons. While you're at it, think of the people actually NEEDING abortion.....
@ClaudiusR1 I get your point, I really do, but yes, I believe that every woman should be allowed to abort, and that she shouldn't be judged for that. I believe that a woman has the right to choose how she wants to live her life, and that a child has to be given the best chances in life, and if the mother can't provide them to the child, or simply doesn't want to, then abortion is the right thing to do. I don't believe in abortion simply for medical reasons, i believe in abortion for everyone [.]
@ClaudiusR1 [.] everyone who wants it, and feels like it's the right thing to do. And yes, I do believe that when a country is considered everywhere as the first country in the world, and a country of freedom, it has to provide its inhabitants what I'd call basic rights. Europe's way ahead when it comes to civil rights. but again, there are plenty of things i'd like to change in the states. death penalty, gun control etc.. I love the states, but it's time they move forward on A LOT of things.
@TheCroatiaKid Your opinion. Not fact. Personally I find forcing gestation onto women and girls more "evil" than obliterating an embryo. But then again I view women as people.
@TheCroatiaKid You sound young. Please do some research. You can have sex within marriage and still have an unwanted pregnancy. You can have protected sex and still have an unwanted pregnancy.
@AylaPersephone You are kind of correct when you say that abortion is evil is an opinion. What is not opinion is that it is killing, it is the willful extermination of the powerless by the powerful for the sake of personal convenience in the vast majority of cases. On what basis exactly do you call anything evil if not that?
@MiltiadesOfMarathon Excuse me but you calling unwanted, unwilling, FORCED pregnancy, labor and childbirth a mere "inconvenience" is insulting. It's not an inconvenience, it's slavery. I call it bodily autonomy because that's what it is. Having your bodily autonomy taken away is unconstitutional, and it's also what I would call evil. A cow is more alive than an embryo but pro-lifers eat steak like there's no tomorrow. Hypocrites.
@AylaPersephone It is convenience, you might say it is a great inconvenience to have to carry a child to term, and you'd probably be right, but it is still for the sake of convenience. While we're on the subject, it is inconvenient for me to take care of my children after they're born, I have to spend so much money and time on them. Why not just kill them if you cant be arsed? They are just as dependant outside the womb as they are inside, why not make infanticide legal up to a certain age?
@AylaPersephone Oh, ok, we've reached the point in the debate when you start spouting out irrelavent non sequiturs to avoid answering any of my points. Probably best to call it then.
In parting I'd like to point out to you that you support a monstrous evil, that you know deep down is a monstrous evil, because you see advantage and convenience for yourself in doing so.
wasn't there a part in the old testament about god's ordering of pregnant women to be stabbed in stomach? answer:yes.....so what was with that scissors and baby line?
I keep trying to give pro abortion people a chance to give good arguments for their ideas, but they seem to stick with the whole "It's my body and it's my choice" bullshit. The think is that its a human life we're talking about. Why is it wrong to implement capital punishment and not wrong to allow abortion.
@1REVINT An adult person has memories, has experienced life and has social connections. It is afraid of death and enjoys being alive. A fetus does not. It doesn't really feel anything, it just lives. If someone were braindead all life long, would it be immoral to kill him/deny him assistance? Also, if you scratch your arm, have you killed "human life" or just cells?
@swiitzerland with all due respect, I'd submit you've never had children of your own or experienced the process of pregnancy. The unborn child ABSOLUTELY feels, senses, has taste, smell, etc. Development of the unborn child of the major systems of anatomy start within weeks. You have no authority to play God and determine whether an innocent, unborn child isn't worth protecting and given a chance to life. You simply do not... sorry.
@mbukow01 wow youve had a pregnancy, does it come with a diploma? did you know, a fertilized egg can still pass out through your period? is that an abortion? how is that any different?
@Raphinater First, I'm not a woman, I am a father. Second, you're pretty ignorant to not see the difference between a miscarriage and an abortion. The difference is one is done maliciously and another occurs at no fault of the mother. My wife and I have had experience with that as well. You should really research a few things - 1) the gestation period of an unborn baby and the stages of development and 2) what an abortion procedure does to that unborn baby and how vicious and cruel it is.
@Raphinater Wow, clever comment. So, I'm a dumbass because I'm pro-life? I'm a dumbass because I believe in the sanctity of the life of an innocent, unborn child? Yeah, thanks for playing... and you might want to construct a grammatically-correct sentence while you call someone a "dumbass." You asked me if I believed in the morning after pill and I replied, "no." What I do believe in is personal accountability from people before they become pregnant before they're ready to.
@mbukow01 a morning after pill removes a few cells that you seem to believe is a human being. Taking care of human beings that are already here is more important than "saving" a few cells. And these cells have no memory, ability to feel pain, or any other human characteristics. As for the person giving birth: the pain, high level of danger for underaged pregnancy (body isnt ready to deliver a baby as safely), horrible upbringing/childhood, financial woes, undesired by parents, etc.
@Raphinater you can make the same case for medical issues arising from abortions as well, so what's your point? My issue with your grammar only came up when you labeled me a dumbass. I realize it's YouTube, but don't be an idiot and write something like, "hey, you're a moron," then misspell "moron." How do you feel about late term abortions? Are you in favor of an abortionist sticking a fork in the skull of a baby that can viably iive outside the womb?
@mbukow01 the dangers of early abortion are not even close to that of pregnancy. and you disregarded my points on upbringing etc. but anyways, if the fetus can live outside of the mother, then i do not believe in abortion at that point. but early stage abortion like morning after pill.
@Raphinater Wow, clever comment. So, I'm a dumbass because I'm pro-life? I'm a dumbass because I believe in the sanctity of the life of an innocent, unborn child? Yeah, thanks for playing... and you might want to construct a grammatically-correct sentence while you call someone a "dumbass." i have an idea for abortion....if you're not pregnant- shut your damn mouth about what others choose to do.....if you're a man- shut the fuck up even more.
So women have the Right to choose when they reproduce but men do not?
Women can choose to kill a baby without paying the man compensation but then can also choose to keep the baby and force compensation from the man?
Do women have equal rights or more rights?
Seriously I want to know.
I personally think that innocent people are killed for our Rights all the time and there is nothing wrong with this. I just wish people would stop lying and confusing the issue.
@turtledragon420 first of all, im a man. idk if you are or not but the fetus grows in the woman's body, men are just the "delivery package" in respects. it's a human beings own body we're talking about, individuals. You meet some women that have abortions and are emotionally scarred (and they are, abortion isnt some type of fun activity, it is sad and a painful choice) and listen to some of their stories, wat they went thro, how they felt...you'd shut your damn mouth too. its no one's business
@Killerjosh89 I said killing hurts but has to be done. I understand that. I know women who have done this and I know the arguments. I am just trying to synthesize the various legal rulings into a coherent System of Law. If the choice to terminate is Her choice and she owes no compensation AND if it a Individual Rights issue; then a woman who chooses to keep a baby has no Right to demand child-support.
It is Her body to with as she pleases, it is also His body to do with as He pleases. No money.
@Killerjosh89 first of all the hole its a women body and her choice is a load of shit
the women is not making a choice of her body she is making the choice to murder a human being its the body of the baby that dies not hers she is saying its my body my choice but yet suiside is illegal isnt that saying what a women can and cant do with her own body
and if a women is pregnant and a drunk driver hits her and the baby dies its murder but yet a women can murder as menny babys as she wants
@Killerjosh89 and we men are not a delivery package we are the fathers you retard
as for emotionally scarred lmfao take your pity party somewere these women need to stop sleeping with men with no birth control and take responsibility for there actions
so menny women today use abortion as late birth control
and no women has the right to kill a mans child just like no man has the right to kill a womens child its called equal rights you asked for it you got it now live with it
@Killerjosh89 Bullshit! Nice try, but your feminist bullshit isn't persuasive. It's a matter of principle and respect of human life. You feminst liberals have problems being congruous.
Yes, because pedophiles become priests, as opposed to being celibate for years on end makes you so desperate to fuck something that you'll do it with the closest thing you can get your hands on.
That's like saying that homosexuals frequent jails, as opposed to straight guys being so desperate to fuck after years in an institute full of men that they'll allow themselves to screw a guy just so they can get off.
@gingerbreadcorpses Congratulations on making that strikingly obvious point that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. My post regarded the fact that priests are not pedophiles that join because they want to screw children, but rather that the harsh mandates of celibacy can drive them to pedophiliac sex much the same way that institutionalized criminals can be driven to homosexual sex due to being limited in their "options".
@note4note My point has everything to do with what you're talking about. Men become priests because they are sexually dysfunctional, not the other way around.
@gingerbreadcorpses Here's just a simple thought experiment for you. Teachers work around children, Pediatrists work around children, Guidance counsellors work around children, and priests work around children. Only priests have large amounts of scandals regarding sexual molestation of children. Seeing as how these are all jobs that anyone can get into with the proper time and training, clearly it must be something to do with being a priest that makes this issue more likely.
By the way, the black guy forgets to mention that the fetus, who is being stabbed (which doesn't happen) doesn't feel pain. Fetuses aren't in the womb consciously wanting to be born. They're a collection of cells which have the potential to be human; same with sperm. Until 24 weeks the fetus' brain isn't developed, and even after that they have no concept of life. Abortion is the only humane way of controlling a population that could make use extinct from lack of resources.
Abortion is wrong, but making it illegal does not alleviate the problem. It has been shown in multiple studies that abortion rate is not lower where it is against the law. The only difference is that more mothers die. Coat hanger stories are not hyperbolic. Nobody wants an abortion. This doesn't mean that some won't abuse the system, but legislation only makes the problem worse. What we need is honest, fact-based sex education! People just don't know how babies are made anymore; it's sad.
It is impossible to do so due to how pathetic and stupid us human beings are, but this would be the solution to the whole Pro life vs pro abortion, vs pro right bullshit. Step 1. Everybody SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! Step 2. Find a way to make children and other oblivious people understand the importance of RESPONSIBILITY of the delicate subject of intercourse. Step 3. Find a way to teach people what respect means. Step 4. THEN you legalize abortion. Step 5. Everyone continue to SHUT THE FUCK UP
@thebikerboy90 are you actually comparing the life of an innocent fetus to burglar, with your statement?
I absolutely hate hearing people saying why let women suffer bearing a child when majority of abortion cases were due to unprotected sex of unprepared parents. If you are not prepared to have Children, you can always know when and how you will get pregnant. If you call a fetus' life worthless, the you are calling everyone's life worthless since we all were fetuses. You must hate your life!
@sharkbiscuit08 I'm very happy with my life.I'm not comparing an innocent fetus to a burglar. If a woman gets raped, has unprotected sex, or has a child unplanned, the mother should set her child up for adoption because every child deserves a chance to enjoy life, live, help people, be successful, etc.Abortion is killing a human being and denying someone's right to live and enjoy life.Death penalty is a punishment for the most extreme crimes due to being a danger to society.
bikerboy And what if the child suffers horrendously and commits suicide? More often than not, scars formed from life's troubles and being adopted isn't a good way to start life. Life isn't a perpetual dream state. look at life. It isn't a Nick Toons cartoon. It's hard and spent most of the time working or socializing with people and forming opinions made by others. More of life is spent in suffering than not, except in a few intervals of joy that last from hours to months, but pain lasts longer.
@vgman94 Life is what a person makes. There's a lot of happy people as well as a lot of depressed people. When a person is feeling depressed and suicidal,a person can always get counseling, therapy, get help from friends, etc to find ways to be happier. It's better when a baby or child gets adopted when he or she has neglectful parents, alcoholic parents, drug addict parents, abusive parents and get adopted by loving and decent parents. The world has its problems, but people can make life fun.
@thebikerboy90 Good points. People can raise themselves up. But just like what you said about adoption, not everyone has the choice to live a happy life. Many times, they're at the mercy of people and fate. I know that feeling well. But many other times, people can make their own lives fun.
@thebikerboy90 Wrong. The fetus is apart of the woman's body. Just like back then, the woman has the right to end it's life. Women have done this since the beginning of humanity. Fetuses, who do not think, feel or know what is going on are not like adult humans. Ontop of that, our population is spiralling out of control and we don't have enough resources for the growing population.
@michaelchristopherj I understand where you're coming from.Point is abortion is murder.A baby is considered a human when it's conceived. When a person punches a pregnant woman in the stomach and kills the baby in the stomach where the baby is a fetus,it's murder since it was a human being.Condoms can help prevent the population from growing. When a woman is raped, the mother can always set the child up for adoption.
@thebikerboy90 (a) Eating meat (from actual conscious creatures) is murder, however I assume you don't take the same position with that. (b) Abortion isn't done through punching the fetus, therefore you're attacking straw men. (c) Condoms can lower the population but not significantly enough. In fact, even with abortion the population isn't diminishing enough. To tackle the population we'll need all humane methods.
@michaelchristopherj There's nothing wrong with eating meat.Humans and animals were created differently.God made animals so humans could have food to eat.God made humans to a higher standard than animals.People shouldn't be cruel to animals, but going hunting or stepping on bugs isn't animal cruelty.God made animals so humans could have meat since meat contains protein,an essential nutrient.Abortion is murder.Animals deserve rights, but they aren't exactly like humans.
@thebikerboy90 I'm sorry, humans ARE animals. There is no God. We are primates and there are some animals which excel past human ability. Humans and primates are naturally herbivores, so we don't naturally need protein from animals. Gorilla's are huge, yet only eat plants. Furthermore, do you see the irony in you defending a fetus, which cannot think, feel or understand, yet you're quick to justify the killing of thinking, feeling and loving animals just for the temporary taste of its flesh.
@michaelchristopherj Humans are animals, but those are the animals held to the highest standard.Fetus's can think, feel, breathe, etc.Fetuses are human beings.People shouldn't be cruel to animals such as shoot their neighbor's pet, kill stray animals for no reason, kill animals in a pet store, not take care of their pets, kick animals, etc.Going hunting isn't animal cruelty.Hunting and killing humans is wrong.I believe there's a God because without a God,morality is just an opinion.
@thebikerboy90 alright so your saying youd rather eat meat that is raised in an overpopulated factory and fed only corn where the animals wont be able to eat grass and live freely, youd rather have the animal live a shameful life and end in a shameful way instead of living naturally and free to be killed humanly by a single bullet or two.
@AngelosMonark There's a difference between going hunting and animal cruelty.Kicking pets, killing neighbors' pets, animal neglect, killing stray dogs, etc is animal cruelty.Going hunting and killing animals and then having meat to eat isn't animal cruelty.God made animals so humans could have meat to eat since meat contains protein.God created humans to a higher standard than animals. It's wrong to go hunting and kill humans.God made humans and animals differently.Killing flies and beesisn'twrong
God had no problem killing the first born animals and humans of the Egyptians nor did he hesitate to make Job suffer just because Satan dared him to do it. He could make all evil and sin end, but doesn't. Yet his moral system is what we should listen to?
@sharkbiscuit08 That's a strawman. A fetus is not the same as a person. You said wer were all fetuses. Key word is WERE. We're not fetuses anymore. If we were, we wouldn't be able to write think, feel pain or have any kind of emotions to feel angry, sad, happy, lonely, or whatever. THAT is the difference between fetuses and people, sir. We are Animals. The word comes from Anima which means soul. A fetus has no soul or or mind until later. It doesn't need rights because it isn't mentally alive.
I don't know what to say about abortion, but you have to admit that we don't KNOW that fetuses don't think, have emotions, or feel pain... what are you basing this claim that "it isn't mentally alive" on?
@grands1am 1. The fact that I, nor anyone in existence can remember anything from the womb. I believe born children (below the age that memory begins) can grow up with altered personalities if they're treated badly or positively because of the brain developing rapidly and experiencing many new sensations. And 2. That scientists have become more and more sure of what I claim in the writings of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). A user named Pirbird14 explained it to me.
@stockinettestitch Why? Because of what this fool Allen West says? The truth is, a fetus does not have a developed brain until 24 weeks, which means this horrific story the idiot tells is with a painless, unconscious bulk of cells. Whilst he is screaming for the lives of these essentially lifeless fetuses, 24,000 children die every day of poverty. You never hear a peep from him on this.
@michaelchristopherj Like I said, freedom of choice is before you have sex. Those 24,000 children didn't all have to be brought here. Until humans start revering sex as the power that it is and treating it accordingly (that includes the consequences), we'll - none of us - have peace. Condoms, condoms and more condoms, and if you don't have those, "just say NO!". Keep your peckers in check, we're not animals. We need to control ourselves! For all our sakes.
I've been pregnant twice, don't even try to tell me those are essentially lifeless creatures. Why aren't you angry about ppl who continually go thru drought and famine and yet continually bring more & more kids here. What makes them more special than a baby from here? If you're so down w/abortions, why don't you go yell at them to have abortions?
@stockinettestitch I do want them to have birth control and access to condoms (which they don't because they're poor in developing countries), one. And two, the children are more "special" because they have brains, feel pain and fear. They are conscious. It's like asking why the life of a animal is more important than a plant. Being pregnant doesn't therefore grant you any knowledge that isn't granted to me through science. They don't have the ability to be conscious or suffer as we do.
@michaelchristopherj How and when on Earth do you think they got those brains and nervous systems etc? Do you think what? that once they 'hit air' all this stuff grows? Fetuses have been shown to have pain and responses and reactions too. Watch an ultrasound. We're getting way too technilogically advanced to keep denying this reality. Abortions aren't allowed in the US before 7 weeks, by then, there's no way I'll get on board w/believing they're just cells. Sorry so long to respond.
@stockinettestitch Like I said, they develop brains and a nervous system AFTER 24 weeks, which is pretty late. Prior to this, the baby doesn't feel pain or suffer. Even if they did feel pain and suffer, they wouldn't be thinking beings like children are out of the womb. Most of the time in the womb after the brain is developed is spent in a perpetual dream state.
At least we can all agree that modern abortions are nothing like what was discribed above (stabbing babies in the head with scissers). That was an obvious ploy to elicite an emotional response. I think decision like this should be thought through rationally.
At least we can all agree that modern abortions are nothing like what was discribed above (stabbing babies in the head with scissers). That was an obvious ploy to elicite an emotional response. I think decision like this should be thought through rationally.
@stockinettestitch you seem to be missing the point. pro choice is not about forcing people to have abortions no matter what the circumstances. it's about giving them the right to choose what they want to do with their bodies. i don't believe it's right for you or anyone to "yell" at people to have babies just like i don't think it's right to "yell" at people to have abortions.
They are talking as though only poor & evil people get abortions done. If all people were created equal, then what gives these "christians" the absolute power to foce women to bear a child even if it is out of rape &/or incest, & them to go all over the wolrd telling the non-christians hundreds of miles away to do as they say. & so the christianity clerge is a profession?
I think people that are against abortion are often against the death penalty because abortion is denying a human being the right to live, right to enjoy life, etc.Death penalty is the person being punished due to them being a danger to society based on things they've done.Based on reading the Bible, the Bible condemns murder except in cases like death penalty, going hunting for animals, fighting in war and self-defense like when a burglar breaks in a home.
Funny how most christians talk about being pro-life when most of their beliefs are based on the worship of death. If anything, they think the "baby" will go to heaven. If not, they're worshipping a prick for a god. I'm curious how they can excuse attacking women who abort their fetus but worship the same god who waits for the baby to be born, to give it cancer. Black christians make me laugh.
@jtamezf Well, you racist piece of shit, none of the other white folks who were invited had anything else to say. There are plenty of great arguments against those of Alan Keyes', but none or them were presented.
@literaturelover86 i say life begins when pain is possible/sentience... so after the 1st trimester i would say abortion gets more and more morally questionable to the point where 3rd trimester abortions would be incredibly questionable
of course, the mothers life takes precedent, rape and incest are irrelevant because early abortion is available and should be taken advantage of, once sentience comes in/pain/thoughts, we are talking about murder, regardless of how it got there.
so what if a woman has complete control over what happens inside her body, a man has historically had complete control over a woman's body, & a woman in general. decades ago a man could hit a woman where whe was pregnant (my dad beat my mom when she was pregnant w my brother) as it was assumed by law that a man had the legal right to beat his wife.
Life doesn't "begin" at any particular moment, the same way a hill doesn't "become" a mountain at any particular height. It's purely about our definitions. As long as these idiots can't agree on what the hell they're talking about, theres no conversation being argued. Just a bunch of monkeys grunting and making noise at one another. Lets all just stop and think about what words like "life" really mean.
I dont get why ppl just pound on that black dude...I dont give a fuck what color he is, or how wellspoken...what he's basically saying, or what I think he's saying is: If a priest molests a child you have to teach the child discipline, or whatever the fuck....that's fucking nuts...he's not only defending child molesters he's saying we should discipline a child for getting molested by somebody...sick. so many sick fucks in this world.
i also love how the topic is about abortion & priest & yet all atheists seem to want to talk about in the comments are "bad christians" like theyre forever trying to defend their point in not beliving on God....guess what...so what? "oh christians always push their bla bla bla at us" yeah you still watch TV dont you? theyre pushing ads at you, 30+ while you just want to watch your favorite show, so shouldnt that be the reason to give up TV then?
alan keyes owned everyone there...they all had to shut the fuck up because he was clearly the most intellectual & smartest person in that discussion. & he had to chastize them like the children that they were acting like. He's a BOSS..hahahahaha
weeks of pregnancy. During the first three months it starts to develop lungs brain, spine, and everything else it needs to live and grow. It is not a freakin parasite! What the hell is wrong with you people. A parasite is something you don't want growing nor living inside you. Just because it is tiny does not mean anything. It is still something living and growing inside you.
Abortion is wrong no matter how you try to justify it. People are always quick to abort as if that is the answer. All of these retarded azz feminist who make the most silliest excuses (it's my body, or it's just a grain of salt) they use these things to make themselves feel good as to why they are doing it in the first place. Before the sperm even enters the egg it already has it's genes, what it is going to look like, personality, and etc. It has a heart beat I believe during the first two wee
@MrsBooker100 Well, you want to talk about people who want to make themselves feel better about their stance, let's talk about all these anti-abortion people who don't want to follow through with their part. So let's just say that all these kids who would have been aborted are now being born and put into adoption agencies. Do you have any idea what it would cost to feed and clothe all of these kids? Then there are the kids who are born with medical conditions like epilepsy and asthma, as well as
@MrsBooker100 (continued) more sever conditions like down syndrome or cerebral palsy. Do you have any idea how much money it would cost to feed, clothe, medicate, and educate all of these kids? Yet when the scenario is that their taxes are going to have to go way up to support these kids, they don't like that and don't want to support it. They want to give themselves a little pat on the back because they're anti-abortion, but when it comes to following through, they're nowhere to be found.
@ChiTown7721 You actually think there is a shortage of people looking to adopt? And why would taxes have to go up? Is government the only entity that you believe would care for a child with special needs? That's a sad statement. You don't believe that churches and other non-profit organization would step in and help? Just because someone doesn't want to force everyone to pay for this doesn't mean they wouldn't do it. Look at Jerry Falwell. He, himself, had an organization to help young mothers.
@th3gr8juan Well, in an idealistic world that would be the case. First of all, you have to make sure that the parent/parents are fit to adopt in the first place, which is not something that is just done in a snap. Second, I never said that there wouldn't be people willing to adopt kids with special needs, but people willing to do that are harder to find, and unless they are rich, those parents are still going to need financial help from the government to be supplied with everything that they
@th3gr8juan (continued) need to take care of the kid. It's not cheap. How do I know? I work with special needs students. Several of our students are in group homes where they are treated horribly.
If I know one thing about churches it's that they love their money. If you think the churches would pay for all this, then you live in a fantasy world my friend. BTW isn't Jerry Falwell the one who blamed 9/11 on non-christians, feminists, and homosexuals? Yeah, great guy.
@ChiTown7721 So do you think there is a shortage of people that would be willing to donate some of their time or money to help? Do you think that families would be able to get together and help out these children? I do. And you know how I know, I teach special education. But even though it costs money doesn't mean that you should be able to take that money at gunpoint from people. Or we can just go with your final solution and eliminate these difficulties before they even reach our air.
And about Jerry Falwell, I am very much less interested in the things he says and more in the things he does. He had helped a lot of women who had no where to turn. He donated his money and raised money to help them too. Other than paying for children to be dumped down the drain, tell me what NARAL has done? But, of course, since they are not a church they are not interested in money, right? Only churches are interested in money. But, then again, I live in a dream world.
@th3gr8juan I never said that only churches are interested in money. That's you putting words into my mouth. I'm not talking about NARAL either. I'm simply saying that if we're going to make abortion illegal, then we need to figure out the costs of taking care of these children, and what it will cost the taxpayers, and then see how many people are still supportive of it when they see how much their taxes will go up.
@th3gr8juan Well, the U.S. has turned a blind eye to illegal immigration for so long that it has turned into a giant mess. I can see both sides of the coin. On one hand you have people coming here illegally because they come from terrible conditions, and it's certainly understandable as to why they would want to come here. Problem is the U.S. has ignored the issue for so long that it's gotten out of hand and there is no simple solution to such a complex problem.
@th3gr8juan At the same time, on the other side of the coin, you have people who have to wait 15 years for a visa and go through the immigration process the right way, who get pissed off when they see so many people from Mexico just come here illegally and don't have to go through all the immigration process at all, and rightfully so. Many other people come from other countries from terrible conditions as well, and they don't get to just avoid the whole immigration process.
@th3gr8juan No, my solution is not to eliminate them before they even reach our air. I'm just saying that if we're going to make abortion illegal then anti-abortion people better back their shit up and be willing to pay the extra tax dollars it's going to cost to do this. I also teach special education and work with autistic as well as severe and profound students. The severe/profound students especially have a lot of medical/living costs, and their parents (understandably) need government help
@literaturelover86 Carl Sagan had a good point about the grain of rice - that it's only a potential human being. There's no guarantee that grain of rice is going to even make it the full nine months. Once it's outside and breathing on its own, you know it's made it.
The real issue is, do you have the right to push your own beliefs on someone else. What if I don't accept the premise of your religion or religion in general. Just because you believe in God does not mean that I do, and in a democracy I have that right. For this reason it is inappropriate to legislate based on religeous belief in a country that guarantees your right to religious freedom. If your religion prohibits abbortion then don't have one, but to impose your beliefs on others is wrong.
Alan Keyes talks about abortion being killing and murder. Isn't the death penalty killing? Do you not murder someone when you perform the death penalty? What is the difference? He is a conservative and is for the death penalty, yet he is against abortion? Why is he so inconsistent?
@literaturelover86 A baby takes it's first breath of air after if exits the womb.....basically after birth. So you honestly believe it is fine to kill a baby right after a woman gives birth. Little radical no?
I wish these religious nuts would just shut up and mind their own business. God DAMN. People can CHOOSE for themselves.God damn the black religious zealot NEVER shut the FUCK UP ONCE. He just prattled on and on about theological bull shit and no one else really got a chance to say anything with substance.
@matt27leo i love how his skin color came to play in your comment but had (seemingly) nothing to do with the comment, the comment that you rewrote just to menton his skin color like (oh i forgot to type, he's the black one) genius
this asshole needs to shut the fuck up about god. i dont care what he thinks god wants us to do, what about the people who dont believe in god? sticking Scissors in the heads of babies? what an asshole! he is the type of person who inspires people to murder doctors fuck this aman keys fuck head.
@MTVVH1sucks "Christians", it has been proven, are very rarely EVER Christ-like. I never take anyone seriously when they tell me they are a Christian. My first question to them is always, 'How are you a Christian? Tell me what you do on a daily basis that is Christ-like.' All I ever get is stammering. That's what you would get with a windbag like Alan Keyes too.
@mermaidofsuburbia So a comprehensive study was carried out on Christians showing that majority of Christians are very rarely Christ-like, don't be silly. So you walk up to people on the streets and ask, "Tell me what you do on a daily basis to that is Christ-like." Hell I don't have to be Christian, and I will be stammering too, because you sir are creepy.
A fetus is not a independent human being with individual rights, it is nothing more then a bunch of congregated cells inside of a women’s uterus, a parasite, without its host it could not survive. Besides these same pro-life idiots believe every sperm to be sacred even in cases of rape and incest and that is just unjustifiable.
overpopulation, and mistakes exist. you want to save kids, then starve them and put them in a world of abuse and war. its ridiculous. change the world, not abortion.
The point is that murder is wrong. An innocent baby in a Mother's womb can't control what happens to him or her and shouldn't be harmed. When a woman is pregnant and someone punches her in the stomach and the baby gets injured or murdered by the punch, it's still murder because a human being was killed even if the human being was in a stomach and not born yet..
Great arguments.I'm against abortion because abortion is murder.Abortion is killing a human being, and it's morally wrong to kill someone just like it's wrong to punch a pregnant woman because it may destroy a human being. If a woman gets raped or has a child due to incest, she shouldn't raise that child, but she should set her child up for adoption. An aborted child could have been the next Bill Gates, Einstein, someone who saves another person's life. All children born deserve to live.
@thebikerboy90 that is an awful argument...he could have been the next Einstein??? so what? he also could be the next Hitler or Stalin does that mean that we should abort them? life begins when the baby takes its first breath, aka HIS BIRTHDAY...we call it that way for a reason...
"This is my brother Richard King. He is the product of incest."

unless you can tell me that you know exactly at what point "life" begins (and your answere isn't conception), you have no buisness legislating abortion. If you pro-life be pro-life, it your pro-choice be pro-choice, just don't ask that your perogetive be legislated

Abortion is a basic right & we should not even have debates about that. Once again, America is on crack when it comes to basic rights.
globin3 4 months ago
@globin3 Basic right?Maybe. To-do list? No. See. America has a lot of basic rights. And for each of them, someone, somewhere, is abusing it. Just think of free speech and the westboro baptist church. They constantly thank god for 9....11. Bad,yes? Should they be stopped? Yes. But can we?No. Why?"Free speech" . Now, think of the constant flow of women just going in and out of the abortion clinics for light and carefree reasons. While you're at it, think of the people actually NEEDING abortion.....
ClaudiusR1 4 months ago
@globin3 (continued) as in they'll die without one for medical reasons ONLY!...
Abortion is related to free speech. And with that, most will abuse it. Be serious about it.
ClaudiusR1 4 months ago
@ClaudiusR1 I get your point, I really do, but yes, I believe that every woman should be allowed to abort, and that she shouldn't be judged for that. I believe that a woman has the right to choose how she wants to live her life, and that a child has to be given the best chances in life, and if the mother can't provide them to the child, or simply doesn't want to, then abortion is the right thing to do. I don't believe in abortion simply for medical reasons, i believe in abortion for everyone [.]
globin3 4 months ago

@AylaPersephone Forcing gestation? It was their decision to have unprotected or premarital sex.
TheCroatiaKid 3 months ago
@TheCroatiaKid You sound young. Please do some research. You can have sex within marriage and still have an unwanted pregnancy. You can have protected sex and still have an unwanted pregnancy.

Darius135gease 2 months ago
@AylaPersephone You are kind of correct when you say that abortion is evil is an opinion. What is not opinion is that it is killing, it is the willful extermination of the powerless by the powerful for the sake of personal convenience in the vast majority of cases. On what basis exactly do you call anything evil if not that?
MiltiadesOfMarathon 3 months ago
@MiltiadesOfMarathon Excuse me but you calling unwanted, unwilling, FORCED pregnancy, labor and childbirth a mere "inconvenience" is insulting. It's not an inconvenience, it's slavery. I call it bodily autonomy because that's what it is. Having your bodily autonomy taken away is unconstitutional, and it's also what I would call evil. A cow is more alive than an embryo but pro-lifers eat steak like there's no tomorrow. Hypocrites.
AylaPersephone 3 months ago
@AylaPersephone It is convenience, you might say it is a great inconvenience to have to carry a child to term, and you'd probably be right, but it is still for the sake of convenience. While we're on the subject, it is inconvenient for me to take care of my children after they're born, I have to spend so much money and time on them. Why not just kill them if you cant be arsed? They are just as dependant outside the womb as they are inside, why not make infanticide legal up to a certain age?
MiltiadesOfMarathon 3 months ago

I keep trying to give pro abortion people a chance to give good arguments for their ideas, but they seem to stick with the whole "It's my body and it's my choice" bullshit. The think is that its a human life we're talking about. Why is it wrong to implement capital punishment and not wrong to allow abortion.
1REVINT 5 months ago
@1REVINT An adult person has memories, has experienced life and has social connections. It is afraid of death and enjoys being alive. A fetus does not. It doesn't really feel anything, it just lives. If someone were braindead all life long, would it be immoral to kill him/deny him assistance? Also, if you scratch your arm, have you killed "human life" or just cells?
swiitzerland 5 months ago
@swiitzerland with all due respect, I'd submit you've never had children of your own or experienced the process of pregnancy. The unborn child ABSOLUTELY feels, senses, has taste, smell, etc. Development of the unborn child of the major systems of anatomy start within weeks. You have no authority to play God and determine whether an innocent, unborn child isn't worth protecting and given a chance to life. You simply do not... sorry.
mbukow01 4 months ago
@mbukow01 wow youve had a pregnancy, does it come with a diploma? did you know, a fertilized egg can still pass out through your period? is that an abortion? how is that any different?
Raphinater 4 months ago
@Raphinater First, I'm not a woman, I am a father. Second, you're pretty ignorant to not see the difference between a miscarriage and an abortion. The difference is one is done maliciously and another occurs at no fault of the mother. My wife and I have had experience with that as well. You should really research a few things - 1) the gestation period of an unborn baby and the stages of development and 2) what an abortion procedure does to that unborn baby and how vicious and cruel it is.

You asked me if I believed in the morning after pill and I replied, "no." What I do believe in is personal accountability from people before they become pregnant before they're ready to.
mbukow01 4 months ago
@mbukow01 a morning after pill removes a few cells that you seem to believe is a human being. Taking care of human beings that are already here is more important than "saving" a few cells. And these cells have no memory, ability to feel pain, or any other human characteristics. As for the person giving birth: the pain, high level of danger for underaged pregnancy (body isnt ready to deliver a baby as safely), horrible upbringing/childhood, financial woes, undesired by parents, etc.
Raphinater 4 months ago
@Raphinater you can make the same case for medical issues arising from abortions as well, so what's your point? My issue with your grammar only came up when you labeled me a dumbass. I realize it's YouTube, but don't be an idiot and write something like, "hey, you're a moron," then misspell "moron." How do you feel about late term abortions? Are you in favor of an abortionist sticking a fork in the skull of a baby that can viably iive outside the womb?
mbukow01 4 months ago
@mbukow01 the dangers of early abortion are not even close to that of pregnancy. and you disregarded my points on upbringing etc. but anyways, if the fetus can live outside of the mother, then i do not believe in abortion at that point. but early stage abortion like morning after pill.

This line of reasoning makes more sense ...
Pro-Choice = Pro-Death Penalty
Pro-Life = Anti-Death penalty.
Biological Premise 1 = All Life is predicated on Death or Decay
Legal Premise 1 = The Rights of the Individual or determined by the Will of the Majority.
Philosophical Premise 1 = For Tue-Justice to exist all other qualities that Humans value must be devalued.
Life Premise 1 = Life is Unfair, deal with it.
Abortion IS killing, but Killing hurts but still has to be done.

i have an idea for abortion....if you're not pregnant- shut your damn mouth about what others choose to do.....if you're a man- shut the fuck up even more.
Killerjosh89 5 months ago 2
@Killerjosh89
I just wish people would stop lying and confusing the issue.
turtledragon420 5 months ago
@turtledragon420 first of all, im a man. idk if you are or not but the fetus grows in the woman's body, men are just the "delivery package" in respects. it's a human beings own body we're talking about, individuals. You meet some women that have abortions and are emotionally scarred (and they are, abortion isnt some type of fun activity, it is sad and a painful choice) and listen to some of their stories, wat they went thro, how they felt...you'd shut your damn mouth too. its no one's business
Killerjosh89 5 months ago
@Killerjosh89 I said killing hurts but has to be done. I understand that. I know women who have done this and I know the arguments. I am just trying to synthesize the various legal rulings into a coherent System of Law. If the choice to terminate is Her choice and she owes no compensation AND if it a Individual Rights issue; then a woman who chooses to keep a baby has no Right to demand child-support.
It is Her body to with as she pleases, it is also His body to do with as He pleases. No money.
turtledragon420 5 months ago 3
@turtledragon420 then i absolutely agree and i have no argument
Killerjosh89 5 months ago
@Killerjosh89 first of all the hole its a women body and her choice is a load of shit
the women is not making a choice of her body she is making the choice to murder a human being its the body of the baby that dies not hers she is saying its my body my choice but yet suiside is illegal isnt that saying what a women can and cant do with her own body
and if a women is pregnant and a drunk driver hits her and the baby dies its murder but yet a women can murder as menny babys as she wants
allhailmegatron1 5 months ago
@Killerjosh89 and we men are not a delivery package we are the fathers you retard
as for emotionally scarred lmfao take your pity party somewere these women need to stop sleeping with men with no birth control and take responsibility for there actions
so menny women today use abortion as late birth control
and no women has the right to kill a mans child just like no man has the right to kill a womens child its called equal rights you asked for it you got it now live with it

Yes, because pedophiles become priests, as opposed to being celibate for years on end makes you so desperate to fuck something that you'll do it with the closest thing you can get your hands on.
That's like saying that homosexuals frequent jails, as opposed to straight guys being so desperate to fuck after years in an institute full of men that they'll allow themselves to screw a guy just so they can get off.
note4note 6 months ago
@note4note People don't voluntarily go to prison. People voluntarily become priests.
gingerbreadcorpses 6 months ago
@gingerbreadcorpses Congratulations on making that strikingly obvious point that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. My post regarded the fact that priests are not pedophiles that join because they want to screw children, but rather that the harsh mandates of celibacy can drive them to pedophiliac sex much the same way that institutionalized criminals can be driven to homosexual sex due to being limited in their "options".
note4note 6 months ago
@note4note My point has everything to do with what you're talking about. Men become priests because they are sexually dysfunctional, not the other way around.
gingerbreadcorpses 6 months ago
@gingerbreadcorpses Here's just a simple thought experiment for you. Teachers work around children, Pediatrists work around children, Guidance counsellors work around children, and priests work around children. Only priests have large amounts of scandals regarding sexual molestation of children. Seeing as how these are all jobs that anyone can get into with the proper time and training, clearly it must be something to do with being a priest that makes this issue more likely.
note4note 6 months ago

You must hate your life!
sharkbiscuit08 10 months ago
@sharkbiscuit08 I'm very happy with my life.I'm not comparing an innocent fetus to a burglar. If a woman gets raped, has unprotected sex, or has a child unplanned, the mother should set her child up for adoption because every child deserves a chance to enjoy life, live, help people, be successful, etc.Abortion is killing a human being and denying someone's right to live and enjoy life.Death penalty is a punishment for the most extreme crimes due to being a danger to society.
thebikerboy90 9 months ago
bikerboy And what if the child suffers horrendously and commits suicide? More often than not, scars formed from life's troubles and being adopted isn't a good way to start life. Life isn't a perpetual dream state. look at life. It isn't a Nick Toons cartoon. It's hard and spent most of the time working or socializing with people and forming opinions made by others. More of life is spent in suffering than not, except in a few intervals of joy that last from hours to months, but pain lasts longer.
vgman94 8 months ago
@vgman94 Life is what a person makes. There's a lot of happy people as well as a lot of depressed people. When a person is feeling depressed and suicidal,a person can always get counseling, therapy, get help from friends, etc to find ways to be happier. It's better when a baby or child gets adopted when he or she has neglectful parents, alcoholic parents, drug addict parents, abusive parents and get adopted by loving and decent parents. The world has its problems, but people can make life fun.
thebikerboy90 8 months ago
@thebikerboy90 Good points. People can raise themselves up. But just like what you said about adoption, not everyone has the choice to live a happy life. Many times, they're at the mercy of people and fate. I know that feeling well. But many other times, people can make their own lives fun.
vgman94 8 months ago
@thebikerboy90 Wrong. The fetus is apart of the woman's body. Just like back then, the woman has the right to end it's life. Women have done this since the beginning of humanity. Fetuses, who do not think, feel or know what is going on are not like adult humans. Ontop of that, our population is spiralling out of control and we don't have enough resources for the growing population.
michaelchristopherj 6 months ago
@michaelchristopherj I understand where you're coming from.Point is abortion is murder.A baby is considered a human when it's conceived. When a person punches a pregnant woman in the stomach and kills the baby in the stomach where the baby is a fetus,it's murder since it was a human being.Condoms can help prevent the population from growing. When a woman is raped, the mother can always set the child up for adoption.
thebikerboy90 6 months ago
@thebikerboy90 (a) Eating meat (from actual conscious creatures) is murder, however I assume you don't take the same position with that. (b) Abortion isn't done through punching the fetus, therefore you're attacking straw men. (c) Condoms can lower the population but not significantly enough. In fact, even with abortion the population isn't diminishing enough. To tackle the population we'll need all humane methods.
michaelchristopherj 6 months ago
@michaelchristopherj There's nothing wrong with eating meat.Humans and animals were created differently.God made animals so humans could have food to eat.God made humans to a higher standard than animals.People shouldn't be cruel to animals, but going hunting or stepping on bugs isn't animal cruelty.God made animals so humans could have meat since meat contains protein,an essential nutrient.Abortion is murder.Animals deserve rights, but they aren't exactly like humans.
thebikerboy90 6 months ago
@thebikerboy90 I'm sorry, humans ARE animals. There is no God. We are primates and there are some animals which excel past human ability. Humans and primates are naturally herbivores, so we don't naturally need protein from animals. Gorilla's are huge, yet only eat plants. Furthermore, do you see the irony in you defending a fetus, which cannot think, feel or understand, yet you're quick to justify the killing of thinking, feeling and loving animals just for the temporary taste of its flesh.
michaelchristopherj 6 months ago
@michaelchristopherj Humans are animals, but those are the animals held to the highest standard.Fetus's can think, feel, breathe, etc.Fetuses are human beings.People shouldn't be cruel to animals such as shoot their neighbor's pet, kill stray animals for no reason, kill animals in a pet store, not take care of their pets, kick animals, etc.Going hunting isn't animal cruelty.Hunting and killing humans is wrong.I believe there's a God because without a God,morality is just an opinion.
thebikerboy90 6 months ago
@thebikerboy90 alright so your saying youd rather eat meat that is raised in an overpopulated factory and fed only corn where the animals wont be able to eat grass and live freely, youd rather have the animal live a shameful life and end in a shameful way instead of living naturally and free to be killed humanly by a single bullet or two.
AngelosMonark 5 months ago
@AngelosMonark There's a difference between going hunting and animal cruelty.Kicking pets, killing neighbors' pets, animal neglect, killing stray dogs, etc is animal cruelty.Going hunting and killing animals and then having meat to eat isn't animal cruelty.God made animals so humans could have meat to eat since meat contains protein.God created humans to a higher standard than animals. It's wrong to go hunting and kill humans.God made humans and animals differently.Killing flies and beesisn'twrong

DarthCadeous501 5 months ago 7
@sharkbiscuit08 That's a strawman. A fetus is not the same as a person. You said wer were all fetuses. Key word is WERE. We're not fetuses anymore. If we were, we wouldn't be able to write think, feel pain or have any kind of emotions to feel angry, sad, happy, lonely, or whatever. THAT is the difference between fetuses and people, sir. We are Animals. The word comes from Anima which means soul. A fetus has no soul or or mind until later. It doesn't need rights because it isn't mentally alive.
vgman94 8 months ago
@vgman94
I don't know what to say about abortion, but you have to admit that we don't KNOW that fetuses don't think, have emotions, or feel pain... what are you basing this claim that "it isn't mentally alive" on?
grands1am 7 months ago
@grands1am 1. The fact that I, nor anyone in existence can remember anything from the womb. I believe born children (below the age that memory begins) can grow up with altered personalities if they're treated badly or positively because of the brain developing rapidly and experiencing many new sensations. And 2. That scientists have become more and more sure of what I claim in the writings of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). A user named Pirbird14 explained it to me.

The truth is, a fetus does not have a developed brain until 24 weeks, which means this horrific story the idiot tells is with a painless, unconscious bulk of cells. Whilst he is screaming for the lives of these essentially lifeless fetuses, 24,000 children die every day of poverty. You never hear a peep from him on this.
michaelchristopherj 10 months ago
@michaelchristopherj Like I said, freedom of choice is before you have sex. Those 24,000 children didn't all have to be brought here. Until humans start revering sex as the power that it is and treating it accordingly (that includes the consequences), we'll - none of us - have peace. Condoms, condoms and more condoms, and if you don't have those, "just say NO!". Keep your peckers in check, we're not animals. We need to control ourselves! For all our sakes.
stockinettestitch 10 months ago
@michaelchristopherj Also, I'm glad you care about this issue enough to write.
I've been pregnant twice, don't even try to tell me those are essentially lifeless creatures. Why aren't you angry about ppl who continually go thru drought and famine and yet continually bring more & more kids here. What makes them more special than a baby from here? If you're so down w/abortions, why don't you go yell at them to have abortions?
stockinettestitch 10 months ago
@stockinettestitch I do want them to have birth control and access to condoms (which they don't because they're poor in developing countries), one. And two, the children are more "special" because they have brains, feel pain and fear. They are conscious. It's like asking why the life of a animal is more important than a plant. Being pregnant doesn't therefore grant you any knowledge that isn't granted to me through science. They don't have the ability to be conscious or suffer as we do.
michaelchristopherj 10 months ago
@michaelchristopherj How and when on Earth do you think they got those brains and nervous systems etc? Do you think what? that once they 'hit air' all this stuff grows? Fetuses have been shown to have pain and responses and reactions too. Watch an ultrasound. We're getting way too technilogically advanced to keep denying this reality. Abortions aren't allowed in the US before 7 weeks, by then, there's no way I'll get on board w/believing they're just cells. Sorry so long to respond.
stockinettestitch 9 months ago
@stockinettestitch Like I said, they develop brains and a nervous system AFTER 24 weeks, which is pretty late. Prior to this, the baby doesn't feel pain or suffer. Even if they did feel pain and suffer, they wouldn't be thinking beings like children are out of the womb. Most of the time in the womb after the brain is developed is spent in a perpetual dream state.

@michaelchristopherj @stockinetestitch

& so the christianity clerge is a profession?
dunnowhat20 11 months ago

Black christians make me laugh.

obs: its in the US - tristate area.

@literaturelover86 but yes, i am pro choice during the 1st trimester...
13stevejohnson 1 year ago
@literaturelover86 i say life begins when pain is possible/sentience... so after the 1st trimester i would say abortion gets more and more morally questionable to the point where 3rd trimester abortions would be incredibly questionable
of course, the mothers life takes precedent, rape and incest are irrelevant because early abortion is available and should be taken advantage of, once sentience comes in/pain/thoughts, we are talking about murder, regardless of how it got there.
13stevejohnson 1 year ago
I respect the Catholic Church, but if they could do one thing better, they could just let priests marry!!!!!!

@literaturelover86 What about when the baby can think inside the womb? (6 weeks)
What about when it can move? (7)
What about when its nervous system is fully developed? (8)
THEN is it alive?
aaa333ify 1 year ago
so what if a woman has complete control over what happens inside her body, a man has historically had complete control over a woman's body, & a woman in general. decades ago a man could hit a woman where whe was pregnant (my dad beat my mom when she was pregnant w my brother) as it was assumed by law that a man had the legal right to beat his wife.

MrsBooker100 1 year ago
@MrsBooker100 Well, you want to talk about people who want to make themselves feel better about their stance, let's talk about all these anti-abortion people who don't want to follow through with their part. So let's just say that all these kids who would have been aborted are now being born and put into adoption agencies. Do you have any idea what it would cost to feed and clothe all of these kids? Then there are the kids who are born with medical conditions like epilepsy and asthma, as well as
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@MrsBooker100 (continued) more sever conditions like down syndrome or cerebral palsy. Do you have any idea how much money it would cost to feed, clothe, medicate, and educate all of these kids? Yet when the scenario is that their taxes are going to have to go way up to support these kids, they don't like that and don't want to support it. They want to give themselves a little pat on the back because they're anti-abortion, but when it comes to following through, they're nowhere to be found.
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@ChiTown7721 You actually think there is a shortage of people looking to adopt? And why would taxes have to go up? Is government the only entity that you believe would care for a child with special needs? That's a sad statement. You don't believe that churches and other non-profit organization would step in and help? Just because someone doesn't want to force everyone to pay for this doesn't mean they wouldn't do it. Look at Jerry Falwell. He, himself, had an organization to help young mothers.
th3gr8juan 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan Well, in an idealistic world that would be the case. First of all, you have to make sure that the parent/parents are fit to adopt in the first place, which is not something that is just done in a snap. Second, I never said that there wouldn't be people willing to adopt kids with special needs, but people willing to do that are harder to find, and unless they are rich, those parents are still going to need financial help from the government to be supplied with everything that they
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan (continued) need to take care of the kid. It's not cheap. How do I know? I work with special needs students. Several of our students are in group homes where they are treated horribly.
If I know one thing about churches it's that they love their money. If you think the churches would pay for all this, then you live in a fantasy world my friend. BTW isn't Jerry Falwell the one who blamed 9/11 on non-christians, feminists, and homosexuals? Yeah, great guy.
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@ChiTown7721 So do you think there is a shortage of people that would be willing to donate some of their time or money to help? Do you think that families would be able to get together and help out these children? I do. And you know how I know, I teach special education. But even though it costs money doesn't mean that you should be able to take that money at gunpoint from people. Or we can just go with your final solution and eliminate these difficulties before they even reach our air.
th3gr8juan 1 year ago
And about Jerry Falwell, I am very much less interested in the things he says and more in the things he does. He had helped a lot of women who had no where to turn. He donated his money and raised money to help them too. Other than paying for children to be dumped down the drain, tell me what NARAL has done? But, of course, since they are not a church they are not interested in money, right? Only churches are interested in money. But, then again, I live in a dream world.
th3gr8juan 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan I never said that only churches are interested in money. That's you putting words into my mouth. I'm not talking about NARAL either. I'm simply saying that if we're going to make abortion illegal, then we need to figure out the costs of taking care of these children, and what it will cost the taxpayers, and then see how many people are still supportive of it when they see how much their taxes will go up.
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@ChiTown7721 So just an off topic question. Are you for deporting people that are here illegally? They sure take a lot of money here.
th3gr8juan 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan Well, the U.S. has turned a blind eye to illegal immigration for so long that it has turned into a giant mess. I can see both sides of the coin. On one hand you have people coming here illegally because they come from terrible conditions, and it's certainly understandable as to why they would want to come here. Problem is the U.S. has ignored the issue for so long that it's gotten out of hand and there is no simple solution to such a complex problem.
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan At the same time, on the other side of the coin, you have people who have to wait 15 years for a visa and go through the immigration process the right way, who get pissed off when they see so many people from Mexico just come here illegally and don't have to go through all the immigration process at all, and rightfully so. Many other people come from other countries from terrible conditions as well, and they don't get to just avoid the whole immigration process.
ChiTown7721 1 year ago
@th3gr8juan No, my solution is not to eliminate them before they even reach our air. I'm just saying that if we're going to make abortion illegal then anti-abortion people better back their shit up and be willing to pay the extra tax dollars it's going to cost to do this. I also teach special education and work with autistic as well as severe and profound students. The severe/profound students especially have a lot of medical/living costs, and their parents (understandably) need government help

All children born deserve to live.
thebikerboy90 1 year ago
@thebikerboy90 that is an awful argument...he could have been the next Einstein??? so what? he also could be the next Hitler or Stalin does that mean that we should abort them? life begins when the baby takes its first breath, aka HIS BIRTHDAY...we call it that way for a reason...
