Thanks! Not to discourage you, but this is definitely one of his simplest instrumentals, as it uses a basic alternating bass for most of the tune. (Another easy one you might want to try is "Foxglove" in open C.)
Long ago I spent nearly a year learning "Water Into Wine" from the LP. Had it down pretty good. Actually performed it live a couple of times.
best cover of this song on YouTube.... Great job, keep up the inspiration.. time for me to go retune... you play this wtih authority and confidence (and humlilty) which is a feature many instrumental covers lack. Bravo!
Excellent work!! Guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, because I'd never heard anything by Bruce Cockburn before. Now I'm hooked! Stay tuned, I'm working on this one. Got the CD yesterday, love it.
wow you should seriously be proud of this rendition of the song. i can play this song pretty well but nowhere near as clean as you've got it here. much respect
Outstanding! This tune was taught to me in the only fingerpicking class I ever took at the Guitar Workshop in Boston 20 years ago. I've loved it ever since. Thanks for your great rendition.
Thanks for the vid response to Drift Away.. I have set that one to private and reposted a version with better sound (I think we played it better as well). Now called Drifted Away. My music is here to help people find you, among other reasons:-)
mere mortal perhaps (I agree, Cockburn is divine) but a heavenly rendition all the same. Well done! BTW, thanx for the intro to Michael Gulezian...believe it or not, some of us have yet to be introduced.
I believe it, and it's a pity. Michael was good friends with Michael Hedges (little surprise there). Lots more to savor on his website: timbrelinemusic dot com. (Not permitted to post the actual URL)
BTW, the Guild F-50R Michael plays during our conversation is currently for sale on eBay.
Beautiful playing - thank you! Wish I could do this half as well as you do here.
