Great video! My great uncle was flying over Germany as a radio man in a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.Another was part of a tank crew in Europe.

On the rememberance programme on TV there was a veteran talking about when on d-day a german soldier came out of a hedgerow and he shot him, then he fell onto the ground, was sick and cryed, that really got through to me

war aint pretty... :( Must of been horrible for the guys to have their first kills... as they said

"we where just shooting at uniforms, we never thought of them being human beings..."

absolutely, he went on to say that the germans were young and were just doing the same as him
