Could never really understand why Aslan didn't show up sooner. I mean, what was he doing for 100 years while everyone was getting frozen?

Er, did you even read the first Narnia Chronicle? Aslan was there when they butted into his creation and brought in the witch. Which was why humans were supposed to take care of Narnia, to make it right again after they brought evil into Narnia themselves. Which, in the end, they do.

She is imprisoned in some sort of ice world dimension in Narnia 2. Is it because Aslan banished her to prison or because she is an immortal evil ice spirit awaiting to be reincarnated with the blood of adam (human blood)?

Aslan killed the white witch. the movie made that scene with the ice world up. in the book the wolf, hag, and a ogre try to bring her back to life but Peter and the others come storming in and kill them all.

I agree. I also saw it as the temptation of the easy way out. They knew if they released the ice witch she could have easily crushed the telmarines easily and save the narnians from extinction but as a price she would enslave them all afterwards.

It also symbolized the very real power of the ice witch vrs the faith needed to wait for Aslan. It was a test of faith, the faithless would have freed her but the faithful would deny the witch queen and put their hopes on Aslan. Very potent messages.

Yes and even the part when Lucy finds Aslan and makes the statement that she was afraid to go alone when Aslan asked her why she did not come to him in the first place."and that would stop you from coming to me?"-Aslan.

This is very powerful too, demonstrating the faithful christian following God and seeking Him. It tells us that even if we are alone, we still must follow God and we will never regret it.

Yeah I hope Narnia can encourage the people on the fence or even non believers to take another look at Jesus and see what he thought us.

I know Narnia is only a movie but I can't help looking at Aslan with the same admiration and awe as I do when I think of Jesus. Narnia is one of my favorite movies of all time.

The gratitude, the joy and the love I have for him will be so over powering I will just break down. Then to finally see God and know his mind and heart... wow!
