@femtokun they are actually all huskies... a couple with the fluffier coats that look more like malamutes just have the less common wooly coat gene that makes their fur grow longer. Malamutes also tend to be a lot "fuller", are significantly larger in appearance and have rounder features.

@IkkumaFIreIceHusky Actually huskes have blue eyes. The ones that do not are malamutes. It is as simple as that. Blue eyed Malamutes will be disqualified in conformation shows, as they would not be a purebred Malamute, but mixed with perhaps a Siberian Husky.

@femtokun huskies do not have to have blue eyes. Their eyes can be brown, blue one of each, or one eye can be 2 colors! here it is straight from the American Kennel Club website for Siberian Huskies "Eyes almond shaped, moderately spaced and set a trifle obliquely. Eyes may be brown or blue in color; one of each or parti-colored are acceptable." Yes blue eyes in malamutes is a default, but brown eyes does not mean it is a malamute.

@IkkumaFIreIceHusky you can look at the stature and muscle structure and you will see the difference. Also the big hair is a definite characteristic. For example look at 0:11. that is a malamute. mwell its hard to differenciate if not side by side to see the malamute has the bigger size :D Both are great dogs and I love em :)

@femtokun they are both great dogs! If you ask me, a husky owner, the dog at 0:11 is a husky with the wooly gene, which is quite common in huskies now days but is a disqualification in show dogs. The face of this dogs is much more narrow and the nose more pointed than that of "show quality" malamutes and malamutes tend to look a lot thicker with fur, not this light fluffiness that you see in this dog. But to each his own I guess because all assumptions are just based off of a picture.

@NNtrailers Wrong, huskys have all sort of eyecolors. My has one blue and one brown, and it still fits in his descripion. One with blue eyes are those who gets sold first, specialy if its red (brown) female.

@ultimatelucario1 As long as it is in the same genus - then it can be bred - and both Pomeranian and Huslkies are Genus: Canis!!! They can breed although I'd think the Pomeranian would have a tough time - due to size.
