It's disputed territory. The population of Ossetia is mostly loyal to Russia. They fought against incorporation into Georgia when it broke away from the Soviet Union. They still don't want to be part of Georgia. The Bush backed New York lawyer who now heads Georgia, thought he'd be able to do a blitzkrieg, and take it over by force, and settle the problem once and for all.

Please, believe me, if Putin wanted to isntall a "puppet government" in Georgia, he would have already done that. This is US who wants to control over the Caspian pipeline, and only US sends its' soldiers to die for oil. Russia doesn't need to do that. We have too many pipelines already, and our soldiers have died for our oil (exploring Siberia) when your country (US) had not yet been marked on the World map. What about Ukraine, there is no invasion needed if Yanukovich will be next president.

Well, I don't know much about Gloria La Riva. However, it appears her views and positions are angled mostly towards Latin Americans. However, America is full of many other races, for which she has no position. Sure she speaks with logical and rational thought. However, I don't think she is there to help all Americans. Always the common people are the targets, the canon fodder of the people who have these enourmous ego's that they deem themselves worthy to "lead" states.
Mostly these "criminals" lead "their" people into destruction, outright murder and lofelong misery.
It again shows the failure of states to provide a peaceful environment for their citizens. Therefore we should have done away long ago with the state as a form of organizizing nations or groups of people.

Georgian "legendary" army just killed 1600 of civilians and then flees to Tbilisi like a pack of fucking chickens leaving the armour and ammunition. Georgian POWs said that Georgian army suffered a huge losses and was retreating in panic. all that the Georgian army can do is to kill civilians and nothing else, its not an army its a crowd of cowards!

Georgia is already defacto a NATO member and doesn't make a move without approval from Washington. Georgia has been building up military arms provided by NATO and Israel. This attack by Georgia on South Osetia was not to win anything but to add to hostilities and destabilize the region and broaden the middle Eastern conflict by drawing Russia into conflict. Trust and Believe, the overall agenda is Caspain Sea oil pipelines through Turkey to Israel.

THIS IS PROPAGANDA, RUSSIA HAS BEEN THE AGGRESSOR. Georgia did not attack russia but Rebels in Südossetien, this gave Russia the idea of starting an all out attack on Georgia to take back what it believs belongs to them. It was stated today in Die Presse that Russia even after a cease fire continued to attack georgian CIVILLIANS.

069290766 - 100s of 1000s of people marched in US and Britain against the Iraq War. It split opinion in both countries in half. There was months of arguing about whether to invade or not. I think most citizens opposed it. I am not justifying what Bush and Blair did, and I am not anti-Russian. What I find hard to believe is that your government went into Georgia almost overnight on a very flimsy pretext, is still there for no reason and your whole country is backing them up, baying for blood.

So American Christians are beginning to distance themselves from those CNN-FOX, 700 Club lies, but the pomp and glory behind the Hollywood media machine (remember the 5-min long adverts by US military contractor Target stores and Northrop Grumman, etc!!) makes it seem otherwise. "Western" vs. World could have resolved such a problem at a special competition created just for them at the Olympics.

Russia Today is also making claims of 'genocide' as the reason for their SAME DAY massive intervention, and yet they have still not shown real evidence of deaths in these numbers despite the fact Russia has controlled Tshinvali for days. Innocent Georgians are being killed in revenge attacks fuelled and justified by the hysteria on Russian channels. That is my deal.

Russia had a large troop build up on the border for 4 months prior to this russian planned takeover and were waiting for an excuse to send in the troops. We will se what reasons they did that in the future if they take over the country by proxy or make it a part of Russia.
