lol No one asked because after people first see these, that would be the first thing they would look up. But, there is a first for everything. You will be happy to know that these spiders are both harmless, and blind. I was bit before, and to be honest, it wasn't really painful at all. I just got a little swelling that went away within minutes! Those marbeled orb weaver puts a bit more force into their bite, like all other Araneus species, but those are also harmless.

I've still got him.. I looked up his type of spider online.. I might see if the zoo wants her... I should say.. it is a her.. since the male ones of these are usually no bigger than half an inch.. this ones 1 1/2 - 2 inches.. and the females can live up to like 2-3 years
