You can go to salvation army store or goodwill store and get cheep cloths. Most all blood I have used does stain cloths. Going to one of those store you can get alot of cheep clothing for a movie or if you doing a movie on massive scale put an add in a news paper asking for stuff for you movie also good way to get actors/extras plus people have clothing they want to get rid of. It is amazing how much free stuff you can get.

i`m no expert, but.. well, for the horde, i guess you could just film, like, several people sticking their hand through a fake wall, instead of an actual horde. for the gun shot wound... checkout indymogul`s knife throw bfx video and then do the same thing, except with a gun and fake wound. for the fake wound, indymogul has a video on that, too.

this way has been proven in hollywood. take some fishing line and hooks, and hook them onto small bags filled with blood, tape the bags onto zombie. put a torn shirt on make sure tears cover up bags . and pull

sadly i saw some messups(i go to a film school so..i hav good eyes..so srry) but around 5:19 or so u could see something on the shovel...maybe next time hav a shot of his hand picking it up and then a wide shot of him with it in his hands..or try to shoot the scene again..+ i know u dont wanna hurt the zombie but u hav to make it look like a hit and not a tap. u could film him swinging towards the zombie, then have the shovel head going to screen, then zombie's head bleeds..lol zombie ninjas!

I will tell you this, I've tried a similar shovel trick like that for smashing a dudes face, and it looked great...because the person swinging didnt look like he just held it up there, and I didnt rear my head in the wrong direction when i got hit. Its a real great technique. The head explosion would be bad ass if the keying was better.
