Would have been better to have used a spark plug & coil. We did this many years ago using a dutsbin (galvanised), and blew the topo clear over a 3 storey school building!.

why does the bottle fog up before exploding?

i did one of these, filling the bottle with hho from electrolysis, and ignited it with a piezo sparker, it blows as soon as you click.

the fuse gave off the smoke, it was wrapped around an electrical ignitor
