0:45 This is a reference to good old Doom, right? :D I mean the riff has some rhythmics similar to the E1M4 music at 0:22, and the SyX animation guys are stepping around in 2-frame motions just like monsters in Doom, when they're still unaware of the player :D

I'm going to add a comment that will probably get thumbs down, but as a die hard Symphony X fan, although I do like the animation, I think that the submissions made for this song were complete jokes to the band and the song. Its sad that no-one took this seriously since the band is actually going to use one of these videos. I was hoping someone had better artistic cinematography for their submissions....but i guess its all a joke. I think the band should just get a professional one done again...

If you are a true fan you must understand that this band is made up of a bunch of cool guys who are grateful that they have fans to submit videos. If the fans aren't having fun making videos, then what is the point of it all? You seem like a fairly depressed soul who maybe perhaps should not listen to this band. This is an incredible effort, and looks great for an individual's project; but is very telling for how this contest is going to end up...Metal videos (well, music videos in general) are already sub-par (on average), and this contest is only going to continue that trend (but on purpose?)

@Dopefish1990 Yeah that would be nice... They tried it with Micheal Romeo, but his awesomeness is far to unstable... Last time he caused a meltdown at the nearest Iconoclast factory, Micheal Romeo survived, but anyone that survived that would be awesome... The survivors where as fallows: John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert (He had the mutated gene huge hands.)... Morel of the story is, YOU CAN'T CLONE SOMEONE THAT AWESOME!!!
