I still dont get why the army under Loghains control betrayed the king. If I was a soldier in that I would try to rally everyone to charge over Loghain and flank the Darkspawn Horde, not just follow a bitches orders and run away!
@zorrgon56 if you do this dlc you will realise that Cailan was planning a peace treaty with Orlains , Logain hated them and didnt want that to happen, plus he would be in a powerful position if cailan was dead as his daughter was the queen. i had doubts about Logains loyalty vs pragmatism but finding the documents fromt he kings chest here proves he betrayed the king for his own plans.
@sushanalone Didn't it also have something to do with the heavily suggested 'betrayal' of Anora? Ina certain letter the empress suggests that since Anora can't provide Cailan with an heir, that the two ought to unite forces. From what I remember Loghain wasn't exactly happy about those rumors, one of the guards at Ostagar even suggested the two had been arguing about the queen.
@sushanalone He didn't know about those documents though. He was enraged becasue Calian was planning to marry the empress of Orlais (confirmed by David Gaider lead writer, because it was thought Anora was unable of producing an heir) and Loghain was furiouse.
That just makes them even more easy to kill. But what I don't get is, why would people think that the Grey wardens would attack the King? what, to "ally with the darkspawn?" are people in Fereldan so retarded they think Darkspawn would ever work alongside Humans?
@WolfytheWolf5667 I'm not sure of the logic they used either, and to be honest I don't even see how Loghain got away with desertion that directly led to the King's death, I would think that irregardless of risk it's treason to leave your king to die. So, I guess that's the mindset they have, a little bit backwards.. I LOVE the game though, and I hope I get to kill those next two ArchDemons, Just in case this is taken wrong I'm not a troll.
@WolfytheWolf5667 Because in another DLC (Warden's keep) you learn that the Grey wardens tried to overthrow a king once, though for good reason. The wardens were cornered at Soldier's Peak and slaughtered/starved. King Arland was a tyrant, but he was remembered as a good king nonetheless even though little is known. Meanwhile the wardens were 'exiled' from Fereldan due to their supposed coupe d'etat. It wasn't until king Maric I believe that the wardens were no longer outlawed (books),
@WolfytheWolf5667 (Darned word limit) So basically the wardens went down in history as dangerous traitors. Many still distrust them and don't know the real reason the wardens attacked king Arland. On top of that most believe that the wardens destroyed the dark-spawn entirely during the last blight. Most people thought they simply betrayed yet another king while exaggerating the number of dark-spawn. People believe Loghain over the wardens because he's a war hero that helped free Fereldan.
@Warrior536 the darkspawn feed on meat only any meat at all i figured people would know this about half the people you talk to in ostagar will say somethin about darkspawn and thier meals
@swordmaster536 duncan may not have been eaten, at first. *SPOILER
the archetect uses grey warden blood to make darkspawn talk, so how do you think he got a warden's blood before they attacked vigils keep, he could have been eaten after
@9beatles *POTENTIAL SPOILER* Correction: He got the blood from Utha, the dwarf that was with him in Awakening. If he didn't have Grey Warden blood before Ostagar, the arch demon wouldn't have it awakened when it did; The Architect awakened the arch demon. Duncan was most definitely eaten.

I have completed the Origins, and my game-saves are in the room where at the end you talk with alistair and the other companions before going to the main doors and having an end scene about what happened in the future, even though I cannot go out of the room anymore, can I still transfer my char to the DLC and play? Please reply
Duncan is still alive, I think he is with the Architect (no matter if you kill him in Awakening, it's like Flemeth, immortal), and will appear in DA 2 or 3. If a simple ogre can be resurrected... no difference for Duncan.
@zeratul1356 I was joking, I know it, but the fact is that we haven't seen his dead body yet. And Duncan will be remembered in DA 2, maybe in form of statue.

and the females were brought down to become Broodmothers spawning tens of thousands of Darkspawn.
I guess there's only 3 blights left until the Darkspawn cease to exist. Forever. Without Gods to corrupt, they can't resurrect themselves.
