I really enjoy these posts of the Statesmen. I appreciate you posting them. It is a nice tribute to some of the best talent the world will ever know.

However, I am slightly prejudice. I am related to "Sister" Freeman, so I like to hear his voice whenever I can. As a small child I heard him sing at funerals of family members. I realize that many people are familiar with his voice in quartets, but he was outstanding as a soloist.

I wish I could have seen/heard him! Not long ago on ebay, I saw a record of a group I cant remember their name, but It was "Cat Freeman and the______" I wasn't able to buy the record, but I'm wondering if you know anythng about the group I am talking about?

Any chance Sister Freeman is the former Vestal Freeman Goodman? Or is Hovie talking about her brother Cat.

My guess would be that they are talking about Cat since I think this was after Denver passed away. Though I could be wrong.
