The Union Already gave concessions of higher contributions, so what else are they expected to give , their repersentation...whom else is required to give up as much.
The Obama administration's stand re: DOMA is as Shields portrays it, and critically NOT as Brooks misrepresents it. While these two are representing partisan views (no problem), there needs to be an assertive referee, NOT THE MODERATOR, who can flag what is or isn't a fair portrayal of the other's, or even their own, partisan positions.
In this (YouTube video) medium, unlike live or taped television, this can be annotated before release, and viewers can replay it as they see fit.
Tax the top 1% .. and especially tax the very top 0.1% richest people in the United States and make them pay a fair share of the taxes in this country, by including capital gains as income. Most people posting on YT do not understand that taxes are greatest on "income" or wages, which is what average Americans think of as wealth. The top rich (top 1%) get wealth from capital gains and NOT "income", so they pay less tax proportionately then middle class workes!
@GodsReligionChannel Careful! The attack poodles on the right will chide you for "class warfare" - after all the wealthy worked to be where they are - yet it's fine to resent a retired worker for having a decent pension. This is feudalism, plain & simple. We should revere these 20 million dollars a year CEOs for shipping jobs overseas and cutting sweet tax deals with municipalities and other forms of corporate welfare yet its wrong for average workers to have a living. Our values are misplaced.
ok, so the republicans refuse to reverse the tax cuts (not raise) for those making over 250k dollars a year that would have increaced federal revinue by 900 billion a year, then the republicans argue that austerity needs to be imposed and very low cost, high impact programs (health, education, public works, ect) worth 60 billion is somehow really great. . . austerity for the poor I guess.
maks no difference to me, I make over 250k a year - thanks. . . but its wrong.
The conservatives will not stand for anyone that even looks like a RINO. The stakes for our future have never been higher and we will DEMAND AUSTERITY!!

@existentialvoid If you're that well heeled you should invest in a spell checker. That issue aside, I agree with you.
