I think The Lettermen somehow love Filipinos and the Tagalog songs. It reflects in their songs. They even made versions of Tagalog songs in other languages. I like them.
Mr. Letterman, we love to hear you sings our own songs, accent is so lovely. It's a great honor to hear you singing our songs, as a Filipino; from our heart, love of your tunes and music is more appreciated and so lovely to hear.
@helenedquid Hello! The name of the group you hear singing is The Lettermen, a US based group and not "Mr. Letterman." And the person you're addressing to as Mr. Letterman i believe you got from his screenname "lettermen1" just like you, you made up a screenname "helenedquid". got it? i'm surprised you haven't heard of the Lettermen, they're famous in the Phils. And surprisingly (well, I am!) they perform songs in Tagalog with no problem in pronunciation, well, maybe some. Mabuhay!
I know what you mean, and I know very well of Letterman group, they were famous not only here in USA but also around the world that includes Philippines, but I happen to addressed to Mr. Letterman assuming he is one of the group. But anyhow thanks for educating me on how the screen name was used, and I got it okay????
@jebylicious Hello my friend, it's wonderful song and I love thier version. Well, it's kind of hot but I live in the Desert, so what do you expect? I am fine and how about you?
Yes, this is in Japanese. I'm glad you like it, but the album it was on (Live in Japan 1979) has long been deleted. Possible it might turn up on Ebay. Thanks for your praise!
Alan, I have looked for the posting by eternitykiss010, but have not found it. Can you give me a hand with this....sorry, I must be having a really bad Senior Moment LOL
Wow, I love this. Lettermen1, I wish I had a friend that would translate it for me...LOL. This is really beautiful, and I'm a fan from the very first album they ever made,
Great song. I used to have many Filipina friends and I impressed them with my knowldge of it, but not with much else. Have a look at a posting by eternitykiss010 with the heading (PH) "Anak" which has a translation as the song is being sung. Hope you enjoy..Alan
Wow! I remember the Freddie Aguilar version way back in 78...I was a freshman in high school..lol..Personally, I thought it was a little depressing for me...as I liked upbeat songs...but I like the Letterman's take on it.
