Something tells me, that he indeed made a joke through his speaker, cause if you notice the giggling and laughing pretty much stops when there seems to be an explanation happening (I am sorry I don't know Japanese). In fact many of the ladies faces switch to a look of interest if not awe at Mana. It is most likely he made a joke about the girl being his voice.

This show has a good idea. Think of it like this; Japanese moms (like most moms everywhere I would imagine) are probably clueless about what inspires and influences their kid's fashion sense. This show is at least educating them on where and why and how this particular fashion exists . I think that's pretty cool (even if they still don't get it lol)^__^

some men belief that imitating a woman is the most masculine thing they can do! in a really philosophical way! o_O it takes a lot of (masculine?) guts for a man to wear anything remotely effeminate... cos society in general sees being feminine as weak and masculine as strong. for a man to appear effeminate is seen as being weaker than he should be, etc, etc. (I do psychology, we learn about stuff like this, lol!) :D

You can get the Gothic Lolita magazine at 'Worlds Apart' in the UK. There's one in Liverpool and one in Birmingham, shame you live in the US. You could more than likely get one on e-bay though ^.^
