  • The first word in lonesome is lo-w.

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL SONG. BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD WITH MY PARENTS. JUDA59ful

  • I'll never forget the night he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He stood there with tears in his eyes, barely able to speak, but when he could manage it, he said, "I never wanted any accolades. I just wanted to sing." They don't make them like that any more!

  • reminds me of my mom and dad, beautiful.

  • I was the creator of Country & Eastern Music. My first hit was "The Next To Last Word In Lonesome Is Om".

  • Wonderful Song ! Love this version ! 5*****+

  • Beautiful

  • So gratefull am I for your efforts to post these great songs ! !

  • I had luch with Eddie Arnold in Sept 1967 in Amarillo arillo with his son-in-law who was staioned with me at Amarillo AFB....What a nice guy

  • i love this song. that's my favorite..

  • what a georgeous guy , heavenly

  • So good!

  • That was one of my favorite records of all time. Eddy Arnold was one of a kind. Can you post his song, " Millions of Roses," from that same album. I would be so happy to hear that again.

  • A great, collection you have! I love all the classics..Not sure what to say to express my gratitude that I can subscibe. Many thanks and All the Best

  • What difference does it make a Baritone, or a Baratone, music is music.

  • I've loved this recording since I was a kid in the 60s. It wasn't until years later that I realized the little word play in the lyrics - that the last word in lonesoME actually is me. Leave it to Roger Miller to be that clever.

  • Great tenor,he can bring out the best in a song.

  • Baritone - Not tenor. - E

  • A Baratone is between a Soprano and a Tenor, Engelbert Humperdink is a baratone, He can take very high and low notes.

  • BarItone - NOT barAtone Mr. Mr. - E

  • So was Jim Reeves

  • The best friend a song ever had!!Eddy was a gift to us on loan from god.I loved his voice but it was his humanity that was the real deal.He loved people and it came through .

  • Great! but I much prefer "The Last Word In Jesus Is Us" by Roy Clarke. You should check it out.

  • Fantastic! It's going straight into my 'favourites'. This is better than the only version I have (by Gene Vincent) and that is pretty good!

  • I love this song,Alan.Thank you for sharing.

    5*****'s Shirley

  • i love this song, but i cant seem to find a roger miller version (which i think is the best)on you tube, does one exist? I was reared up on roger and i luv him.
