What a fantastic revival of Spike Jones and what talented musicians in this! I wish the DVD of the whole show was available.

Someone gets it! So often, a band plays badly and is described as sounding "like Spike Jones." But that misses the joke completely. Spike's band always played their best, but put a clownish face on sentimental standards.
