God bless all our soldiers; but lets remember there are Canadians over there as well. All said, this is probably the best tribute to all soldiers there is out there.

I have no family in the army but I have had 17 of my good friends to the marines and 13 will never come home so my friends is that are still out there know this and I write or call them every day, and the oldest of them to not make it was 19 years old and he was my childhood he was my brother in every why except blood I am 18 years old now he died last November on the second he was coming home on the forth my birthday.

My brother signed on to the Marines in 2001, before 911. He left when I was in High school. He returned safetly back to us 4 years later. He was never the same, 2 tours in iraq changed him. What he faced over there, he only knows. But what we faced w/o him is just as wrong. I lost my playmate, in his stead i got back a wounded soldire. wounded in the mind & heart. He lives w/ us, & though I times I ponder why he does the things he does. I still love him, & I rather have him broken, then dead.

I Lost my twin brother back in october we were brother and sister at home and brother and sister in arms i loved my brother so very much and now that he is gone my world is gone one moment there was someone who was just like me in every way then the next moment he was gone i am thankful for the 22 yrs that i got to know him but charish your brothers because they might not be there tomarrow

This is the reason behind my enlistment. I will be enlisting as soon as I graduate from Wayne State University, in about a semester. I want to be sure my family never has to go over there. i can remember the day i left for the marines and said goodbye to my little brother. it was hard cause i helped to raise the boy, i can remember how hard it was to hold myself back when we came to see me on graduation day at bootcamp. when formation broken i hugged that boy and broke into tears... he was 15 when i got out of the corp and i was 23. He met me at the airport for the first time in 3 years and we hugged again and cried. i guess your never to old to miss your brother huh.

There is no draft anymore so it's the person who joins the militarys own decision. I served in 2 wars and I find it ridiculous how some people think that having some family member serving is just the most important thing in the world and nothing else in life can be placed above that. If you choose the military life by enlisting, then you have chose whats to come along with it.

My oldest cousin was in the Navy. He didn't dir during his duty, but on October 1st 2007, he got in an accident. He was driving a motorcycle and a dump truck cut him off, killing my cousin on impact. It hurts to hear this song, but I can't stop hearing it, on the radio and on YouTube.

Great video! My little brother should be getting ready to finish his journey to Okinawa in about an hour or so, He's headed there on a 2 year deployment with the United States Marine Corps. From there he is requesting to be sent into Afghanistan... crazy Marines! This song hit me like a ton of bricks. My brother was home for leave and has only been gone for 2 days, but it feels like an eternity!

this song really makes me cry. It reminds me of my brother and how he got out of the military to be an EMT. When he sings about his brother in a wheelchair, it reminds me of my brother losing his life in a motorcycle accident and I kept him as my idol in my heart. This song sends chills up my spine and makes me think of him. I love him for all time.

My brother signed on to the Marines in 2001, before 911. He left when I was in High school. He returned safetly back to us 4 years later. He was never the same, 2 tours in iraq changed him. What he faced over there, he only knows. But what we faced w/o him is just as wrong. I lost my playmate, in his stead i got back a wounded soldire. wounded in the mind & heart. He lives w/ us, & though I times I ponder why he does the things he does. I still love him, & I rather have him broken, then dead.

I left my little brother three years ago to serve a tour in Iraq,i told him i will see him again, never got to see his face after i left, he died while i was in Iraq,he really didn't want me to leave

I am sorry for your loss Rose. I'm now feeling scared because my little brother (turns 15 in 4 days) is set and determined to follow in my footsteps and join the Army. It makes me so scared because I won't be there to watch out for him.

I cried when I saw this... Im a Canadian soldier, and i just got to see my sisters, and my wife and son for the first time in 5 1/2 months, and i have never seen anyone cry harder than my sisters.... God Bless to all my brothers and sisters in arms. God bless to the families.

This song makes me cry every time i hear it. my brother is in the Navy (WHOOP WHOOP NAVY!!!) and he's shipped out right now. We were never very close until I realized that I needed to love him cuz he could possibly not come back. Since then... it's never been the same and i miss him more then anything. This is the reason behind my enlistment. I will be enlisting as soon as I graduate from Wayne State University, in about a semester. I want to be sure my family never has to go over there. I am going so others don't have too. And like the song says, "thats what brothers are for" 'cause in the long road, all americans are brothers and sisters right?

i can remember the day i left for the marines and said goodbye to my little brother. it was hard cause i helped to raise the boy, i can remember how hard it was to hold myself back when we came to see me on graduation day at bootcamp. when formation broken i hugged that boy and broke into tears... he was 15 when i got out of the corp and i was 23. He met me at the airport for the first time in 3 years and we hugged again and cried. i guess your never to old to miss your brother huh.

@moshpitmachine I know how your brother feels, my oldest brother left for the army when i was 16 then my second oldest brother left when I was 17 my mom broke down and told me That'd she kick my ass if I tried to leave too but now they are both home thank god. Our bond is a lot stronger as brothers now and I'm grateful for that.

There is no draft anymore so it's the person who joins the militarys own decision. I served in 2 wars and I find it ridiculous how some people think that having some family member serving is just the most important thing in the world and nothing else in life can be placed above that. If you choose the military life by enlisting, then you have chose whats to come along with it.

My oldest cousin was in the Navy. He didn't dir during his duty, but on October 1st 2007, he got in an accident. He was driving a motorcycle and a dump truck cut him off, killing my cousin on impact. It hurts to hear this song, but I can't stop hearing it, on the radio and on YouTube.

Great video! My little brother should be getting ready to finish his journey to Okinawa in about an hour or so, He's headed there on a 2 year deployment with the United States Marine Corps. From there he is requesting to be sent into Afghanistan... crazy Marines! This song hit me like a ton of bricks. My brother was home for leave and has only been gone for 2 days, but it feels like an eternity!

this song really makes me cry. It reminds me of my brother and how he got out of the military to be an EMT. When he sings about his brother in a wheelchair, it reminds me of my brother losing his life in a motorcycle accident and I kept him as my idol in my heart. This song sends chills up my spine and makes me think of him. I love him for all time.
