DrS,Tguy,et al. I recall a time slot was created following an NBC special expected to have the largest viewing audience to date. As a tough-act-to follow, no major act/star wanted that slot. EK took it on with EUGENE entirely without dialog other than the intro which EK explained same. ANYONE recall the special that ran prior Eugene?..dunno why I keep thinking it was Lewis-Martin with low confidence. Truly a genius to communicate thoughts and human feelings without words via the TV medium.

This was from one of Ernie's specials for Dutch Masters in mid-1961, in which he demonstrates just how far sex and violence might go on TV- Jolene later turns up at the end of the special, cooing to the audience, "It's five of 11 (which was at the exact time the special originally aired)- time to go to bed...".

Jolene was a regular on the Kovacs show. She retired from show business and has been married to producer

George Schlatter for many years.

Great clip, regardless. Looks like it is from Kovacs' last series, the one for ABC in 1961-62, where he was working on early videotape, which he loved by the way.
