As an MD, that is very bizarre obsessive-compulsive behavior or witchcraft. I simply don't understand how a Higher Power could see any purpose in such.
@olimikeg they are called traditions with both purpose and meaning according to the religion. Not sure what being an "md' has anything to do with you being any kind of authority....OCD and witchcraft are two totally different things. I'm sure as an MD you are sensitive to cultural and religious customs in treatment of a patient....or you should be.
Isaiah 1:13 "Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and sabbath and the calling of assemblies--I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly."
@humbledanny Fortunately I live in a democracy, not a theocracy. And as an MD/psychologist/deist,any public display is open to free speech and evaluatoion; and for you to suggest otherwise is laughably and infantly condescending.I further find that The Creator would find this behavior absolutely ridiculous at best, and possibly paganistically evil at worst considering how brief our sojourn on this planet is;and how much more valuable our time could be used. Isaiah1:13(above)....
@humbledanny Thank you for the enlightening, thoughtful response which only further confirms my thoughts.. You may now return to your useless pagan rituals.
@humbledanny Daniel 13-14: "I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. 14 And to him was given dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed."
@olimikeg what are you trying to show me.. I dont understand..get off the subject please and move on with your life. i am not interested in what you have to say.. thank you
I looked up the symbolism and supposed meaning of waving these objects, but it was vague and hesitative. Perhaps you could aid me in sharing your view?
