It's horrible that there were people who spent a lot of money for telling her that they suck just because she took in Tarja's place. It was not her fault Tarja had to leave. Anette didn't even know the band back then. She's a great singer and the band is still the same. Not the heart and soul of Nightwish have changed, it's just one part of the voice. She fits the band perfectly. I also had the chance to talk to her personally and she's really nice and humble. Accept that.

7 years after Tarja was fired from Nightwish people still want her back. That certainly tells me Tarja did mean something to those people. Myself included.
It's sad how people have treated her. I am a fan of the band since AFF and opened my arms to Anette. I still believe NW is amazing and haven't changed their epic approach at symphonic metal. Btw, she did an incredible job in Imaginaerum. Great voice and person. My respects for her.

That poor woman, must have been something very sad, or she must have missed her son a lot. I feel for her, I think people need to respect the fact that sometimes everyone has some troubles. And seriously enough with the comments about her singing, she has a lovely voice, so she isn't Tarja and doesn't sing the old songs like Tarja, well guess what those songs were written for a soprano, not Annette, so give her a break!

A parent who has lost her or his child´s custody is allowed to see the child, eg every second weekend. On the basis of Anette´s blog entries the son lives or stays longer periods with her, so she must share the custody with her ex-husband.
Anette must have missed her son a lot during the long DPP tour. The next tour will be lighter and shorter. Also Marco and Jukka have small children and Marco has told several times in public how he misses his family during the long tours.
She cried because she had just lost her son's custody and got emotional because of the songs' lyrics( "Be still my son.."). She said she was sorry, left the stage without explanations, while people chanted her name in support
I was there. everybody was happy, singing with the band. People supported Anette but she is not professional. People came from other states just for this show. They were not there to show fingers to Anette. All of us were there because we are NW fans. You should have seen the boy´s faces. They were lost and did not undestand what was happening. A parent who has lost her or his child´s custody is allowed to see the child, eg every second weekend. On the basis of Anette´s blog entries the son lives or stays longer periods with her, so she must share the custody with her ex-husband.
Anette must have missed her son a lot during the long DPP tour. The next tour will be lighter and shorter. Also Marco and Jukka have small children and Marco has told several times in public how he misses his family during the long tours.

I was there. everybody was happy, singing with the band. People supported Anette but she is not professional. People came from other states just for this show. They were not there to show fingers to Anette. All of us were there because we are NW fans. You should have seen the boy´s faces. They were lost and did not undestand what was happening. I'm really not an Anette fan, but I totally understand her and believe people who are calling her unprofessional or emotionally weak have NO IDEA of how painful can be hearing that you can no longer raise your son... And she had just heard that and a few hours later she is singing this absolutelly strong and touching (with a "there still my son, you're in home" verse)... Any mom in the world would start to cry! What did people expected? That she kept crying on the stage?
