nobody complained about graphics in darkfall. Why don't they ever work on the gameplay? balance? UI? Loot tables? What happened to thier motion capture animations they promised? Allignment? PvP, PvE, PvB? Bugs? Server lag?

Darkfall is a carrot on a stick made out of magic beans.

Nice shaders! but sooo much intersecting geometry all over the scenes.. those hard edges cutting into everything are even more visible with normal mapping.. cover up the intersections and it will look really fancy.

also, why does every texture look clean? the wooden planks in the cave is not even a little dirty.

also, mixing hand painted textures with photo source textures side by side.. i dunno about that. The art director should be upset about that because it breaks the style here and there

they need to just revamp darkfall 1, (which they're doing) and add pvp content.. pve content,

and revamp the economy, re-release the game.. get all the lewtz from the die hard loyal fanbase, and hopefully the game could be enjoyable.

DF needs diverse, entertaining, inspiring PvE, not so much better graphics

fighting every mob in the game the same way that is 1-4 of the exact same mob and ai and getting the same crappy uninspired loot is just a fail on the most basic level

They're doing this video just to show us something atleast. Don't be such raging nerds about it be grateful that they are doing all this to make the game better for everyone. Some other developers wouldn't have bothered to do all this fixing and would have simply pulled the plug, atleast Aventurine are trying to fix the problems even if it is a huge task.

@sunnylifton Upgrading graphics constantly is something a game should continously do, with a game such as Darkfall immersion is 80% of the gameplay, and a majority of the immersion comes from good graphics (see skyrim: feels like you're running around the frozen wastes of a barbarian country vs the snow level of banjo kazooie, where you are very aware you are playing a game.) With graphical technology and the standard today, good graphics is something not difficult to implement.

I looked at the proposed changes between Darkfall and Darkfall 2 and if you make those, it's definitely going to be a game worth playing. Darkfall is awesome but rough, with these changes I think it will make all the difference. Keep up the good work.

I beta tested this game and played a short time on the Euro servers, wish I would have kept playing when the American servers came online. Now I wish I had time to come back and play.....I waited almost six years for this game and never played much of it.
