  • HI Paul, Great video as always! Particularly familiar as did this trip from Stratford-upon-Avon to Torquay last weekend! Recognised alot of your journey! Left Torquay on the Sunday and watched the sun rise over the Devon/Dorset/Exeter esturay - spectacular! Left Torquay with 53 miles of diesel left in the tank - managed to get to Taunton where I wanted to fill up which was 50 miles away! Helpful downhills for the hypermiling! Beautiful area of the country and M5 one of my fav's! Drive safe! SC.

  • @StephenC999 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I too love it down that part of the country, I just wish I could get more jobs going that way... ha ha

  • Awesome channel, keep posting :)

  • Why the fuck would anybody post this sad shit

  • @tyrekickingwetdreame Because there are a lot of people out there, who for whatever reason or another, cant get out and about like me, imagine what its like to be housebound in a wheelchair for instance, or old and infirm, makes no difference what the ailment is, point is, through daft videos like this, people from all over the world can see a little bit of where I've been. and where we live, and what its like in the UK, thats all.

Your entitled to your opinion. Thanks for watching.

  • Firstly the music, "Bloody shocking"...........I had visions of you in a Harry Hill shirt, medallion, flares, platforms, and a handlebar porn tache sitting on your top lip.. :-)

As for the video, "Excellent". Never been there, but looks like a nice area. And finally, I'm always suspicious of anyone in a hi-vis coat with a clipboard. (Can you tell I'm having a bad day Paul) .......haha

    *****Andy

  • @canvids1 Any time Wayne, your always welcome... :-)

  • Hi Paul,

I was just wondering what the milage on your van is? The only reason I ask is because you always seem to be going to places far away

  • @SuperFIFTHGEAR I'ts just clocked 109k miles now... I go all over the place, never know where to next... :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 Okay, thanks for getting back to me.

  • you get around don't you , are you in the midlands ?? i am in leicestershire and you will have to pop in and see the lister sisters, cheers jez

  • @SuperListerman You could say I get where Vaseline doesn't get..ha ha. Having said that, yes Im not too far away from you, probably 1 hours drive if that.

Like the sound of the Lister sisters... lol nice one. Thanks Jez :-)

  • Hi Paul,

Great video, looks like your van needs extra power, some hills are too long =)

Hmm its interesting why it is x pallet???

    have a nice sunday,

    Simas

  • @diliukas Yes more power would be nice, but this is a very steep and long hill 9% plus about 700/800 kg on the Pallet, sure slowed me down a little.

I deliver same day, urgent goods etc, deliveries needing to be there soon as possible.

    Thanks Simas :-)

  • nice video , and music. Paul.

    Have a good sunday.

    Rokas

  • @TheRokseris Thanks Rokas, you too have a good Sunday and a safe week...Paul :-)

  • Fantastic video Paul :)

Nice song, I really like the roads wich goes through the forest, like on 0:13.

    Have a nice day :)

    Liudvikas.

  • @VolvoFHV8 That forest part was taken 2 days before in, Christchurch, Bournemouth area, further up the south coast, and on a totally separate job, I cheated and put it in this movie because I liked the clip... ha ha

Many thanks for joining me Lludvikas, you too have a nice Sunday and a safe week...Paul :-)

  • Great video Paul . Enjoyed it ! Be safe !

  • @bogdanwhitesnake Thank you, glad you could come with me and enjoy the ride, with a little happy music thrown in for good measure...Paul :-)

You too have a good and safe week.

  • at 2:07 ...i think that you need very good brakes to drive down

    thanks for the trip Paul

with the "happy" music i begin a good sunday morning*****

    Pat

  • @7784Patrick I was doing 80mph just by rolling on the return journey... ha ha 9% hill, not so good going up it, its called "Telegraph Hill" and its a long slog, a bit like that hill in one of your old films recently, but without tight bends.

I heard this track on the radio and knew that I just had to use it for some reason, yes it is happy type music, I agree. Thanks Pat, hope you have a good weekend and a safe week. Bonne Route my friend. Paul :-)

  • Welcome ... haha ... I also I can not stop dancing:) Super. How I would like to make only such order. I greet and wish you a pleasant Sunday Sławek :)

  • @bibula83 Ok lets go dancing, all together now.... Yeee Hahhh!!! :-)

    Thanks Stawek :-)

  • I've been missing these! It's nice to see the water!

  • @Jafromobile I just love a run to the sea side, its the kid in me... ha ha -Thanks once more :-)

  • good video Paul, the Police Car was moving on that passed by you

  • @pwalpar Yep reckon he was late for his "Tea" too Walter, I know one thing for for sure, I could use some of those flashing lights on the roof of my van too, wouldn't half make a difference.. LOL

    Paul :-)

  • excellent video Paul :D

  • @massmedia09 Thank you for such kind words, much appreciated. :-)

  • 2:02 that hill looks horrible to have to climb up... Nice clip at the end :-) LOL

  • @04smallmj Right at the end of the M5, Exeter area, you are faced with this hill, its called "Telegraph Hill" and its on the left fork heading towards Torquay, the right fork heads towards Plymouth, either way you choose, you go up a long and steep hill, not good fully loaded, great though when coming back, 80mph free wheeling...

I should have pulled in behind the cop car and followed him.. :-)

  • I knew the A380 road so well when I lived in Somerset and delivered stone and coal in the south west area of the country. The hill around 2.8 to 2.13 brought back memories. I had 20 ton of stone on a old 8 legger going down that hill and the brakes failed. At that time the grassed area at the bottom of the hill on the left was longer so I steered into the soft grass which brought the vehicle to a halt. The boss's wife asked why did I have to sink it up to the axles. Stupid woman.

  • @silverstartrucker I love this story Arthur, made me smile, and I can well imagine the woman's comments, not a good time to get brake failure, that lorry must have been shifting some by the time you hit the grass, I was hitting 80 just rolling and empty on the return.

    Thanks for joining me...Paul :-)

  • keep on wondering when ill see my dads van fly past you in a video... might happen one day.

  • @MO3MINI Usually happens when you least expect it, you never know, Law of averages says it must happen one day, just keep watching, Thanks :-)

  • good video Paul, great music¡¡;))

  • @truckernacion Classic old time dance music Alberto, "Happy Music"... Many thanks and beers for you my spanish friend. :-)

  • I've never visited Paignton. I've visited Devon. But I never visited this part of Devon.

  • @Seattlecarnut The beauty of this area is in having three places to visit in close proximity to each other, thats, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham - The English Riviera as its known. I myself have had many happy caravan type holidays down there whilst my children were smaller and growing up. Nice times.

  • @Bevoin1970 The only place in Devon I've visited was Plymouth. How far is that from Paignton or Brixham?

  • @Seattlecarnut 30 miles on the quickest route

  • Hey Paul. It's been a while since I've seen a new video. Where are you headed in this video?

  • @Seattlecarnut The sea side town of "Paignton" in Devon, we have one Pallet of unknown items, weighing in around 800kg to urgently deliver...

    Thanks for joining me....Paul :-)

  • Great trip and video Paul...loved it.. nice area down there, not been there though. Many thanks. Paul :-)

  • @007vauxhall You can be down this area in three hours from my neck of the woods, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, definitely places to visit, I've had many a good holiday down here. Wished I'd been here earlier on in the day, thats all, would have liked to have spent more time here.

    Thanks Paul :-)

  • Good day Paul nice video, any time its around the ocean its nice place to be. I like the music as well. Have a nice weekend my friend.

    Harry

  • @SuperSherriff1 Yes my favourite destination is by the sea, anywhere in the UK so long as its by the sea. Classic dance track from yesteryear, Im still dancing too... :-)

    Thanks Harry.

  • Nice Little Run there :-)

  • @RobCharles1981 Yeah, we love the seaside runs, always a joy when your told your going to the sea side... ha ha

    Thanks Rob :-)

PS, Can you play this track on the Conker? :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 Cheers - nope impossible :-)

  • Traffif is modest , for a Friday afternoon? The place were you dropped your things off , no gates , stock in the open air , dumpster filled with scrap goodies !! Dont try that here in The Hague , Bulgarians and Romanians roaming the streets , they can use anything.

  • @dutchurbanminer I never spotted that bin till I reversed off, see you see things that I don't, the gates probably got nicked by the scrap metal dealers in town... :-)

What you describe sounds just like england.... :-)

  • @SuperLuke68 Thanks for such kind words, Im in the courier game, express light haulage, same day next day type stuff. :-)

It can be interesting, it can also be very stressful, and down right anti-social at times with irregular working hours, but overall I enjoy being out and about...

I get to se the sights you could say. Thanks for joining me. :-)

  • 1:09 I've struggled up that hill loaded many a time!

    2:56 onwards :-) I wish I could lip read.

    A 5 Mr B.

  • @TruckingInTheUK Ah! Telegraph hill, its a killer for sure, I myself was coming back down the gears to get up it, and its a long slog too.

Loved Paignton, not been here for years, I have some town centre footage I might upload yet, will see, not brilliant as in its a tad wobbly.

Thanks Ian, you wouldn't have needed to lip read had I not added this music track, my Black country tones were plentiful... ha ha
